 The walls are lined with candy. There are more than 600 different types of candy in this small store. Merry children are looking at the candy in awe, they could spend a lifetime in here.

Nao gently scooped some candy from the bin and dumped it into the small paper bag. She walked over to Sweenie, the owner, and placed the bag on the counter. "Hello Nao, will that be all?" He asked and Nao gave a slight nod. She rarely talked since the murder of her parents, but that didn't stop her from being as happy as can be. She placed a couple of coins on the table and waved goodbye. Her life had drastically changed over the years. Before, Nao had trusted Sweenie with almost anyone, now she barely talked to him. When Nao got out on the streets, she could feel a blizzard coming. She shivered then made her way along the cold streets to the Orphanage.

Captain Rujin Snegjya, or so he liked to call himself, shivered and made his way to the candy shop, where he hoped to get something nice to eat. Lately he'd been using the money he got from the Mayor on the Merry Tavern, but he decided, since he was deserved it, he might as well visit the Candy Shop.
He was wearing a coat, breeches, waistcoat, and a bicorne hat. A Hawken rifle was strapped to his back, making him look like a Minuteman from the Colonial era.
He sighed, breathing out water vapor and wrapped a fur coat around himself to make himself warm. It was unlucky that tonight was a storm day. He bumped into Nao as he entered the candy shop and tipped his hat. "Sorry, ma'am." He looked up and saw a teenage girl whom he had seen a few times before. "Oh, hello. You shouldn't be wandering the streets alone at this hour, young miss."

Nao shrugged. Why did everyone think she was younger? It was nine 'o clock and she lived alone. Her hands wrapped around the bag tightly as she stressful wished that he would move on and let her leave towards the orphanage. 'Sir! This girl doen't talk much to anyone. I'm surprised she even talked to me.' Sweenie spoke up. When the man wasn't looking, she tried to squeaze by him.

Captain Rujin Snegya nodded sadly, as if he understood. Letting Nao pass, he walked in and took some chocolates and other candies. He placed a whole bucketful on the counter. "An orphan, right?" he sighed, whispering quietly to Sweenie. "War results in dire consequences." That's why I trained in the Neutral Area and joined the Snowtown Militia... to protect this town.

Nao paused before leaving. SHe glared back at the man. "I'm not deaf..." She said quietly. Nao stormed out the door walking of the cold streets of Snowtown. Her hands where pale as she rubbed them together for warmth. The orphanage was three blocks down and a blizzared was coming. She should hurry before it gets worse.
