This is where one of the noble families, the Aiko live. Here they try to fight against the Rolfi family who are currently killing many innocent lives just to rule the country, Contagious. The Aiko are now trying to get through this upcoming war but they still have much more drama at their hands. The Blair are planning to revolt and they know it. Also there must be engagements soon because they need to make sure that if the Head of the family dies, their family blood can still be passed on. So much drama.... [Remember that the nobles will be the generals during the wars!]

Ciela frowned, focusing on something out the window. She didn't feel she had anything more important to do so she had decided to watch whatever was happening outside. It was actually quite entertaining once you could find something worth watching. Ciela turned from the window and thought for a moment. She wondered if there would be anything interesting happening soon. She never really payed attention, so... there was a possibility, at least.

As the morning started with the early sun rays barely peeking in through crevices between closed windows, warming up the cold rooms from the darkened nights, Nouhime Aoki was among the first in the household to rise from their beds. It was must for her as the sole Head of the family, since the departure of her late husband Takashi Aoki, father of her five offsprings.
With calm haste, Nouhime got herself ready before letting her Ladies-in-waiting into her room to brush and pin up her long obsidian tresses. She wasn't to have it all fancied up, just have look presentable for her daily meeting with her resting spouse at his grave. All her married years, Nouhime was a devoted wife and mother, even after losing the only companion to ever understand her and accept her after all the hidden lies she kept to stay at the side of him. She felt that paying respect to him everyday was her way of showing how much she knew she didn't deserve to have received the love of someone with such heart like his.
Her frigid ice blue eyes stared at herself back in the mirror with shame...
She raised her hand to halt the moving ones surrounding her head.
"That is enough. Thank you, ladies, for your work."
Nouhime dismissed her Ladies-in-waiting before heading out of her chambers herself to the Aoki resting grounds. For an hour every day, Nouhime knelt before the marked head stones of her husband's family and ancestors, praying and keeping them updated on the life of the living.
...Nouhime didn't serve to be buried along side with any of them when her time came. She deserved to die a traitor in the forgotten waste lands where most of her kind had been dumped. Along with the rest of the Blair, who have been misunderstood and taken advantage by the Aoki and Kato. But even then, the Blair didn't belong there. Only Nouhime.

Ciela watched her mother pass by through the window and stood up, turning back to the room she was in. She had grown bored watching the events outside, and now wanted to join them instead. She fixed her skirt and headed towards her door. Gently turning the knob so as to not make too much noise, she stepped out and closed the door behind her. Ciela headed to the front door, figuring she might find something interesting in town.

With daily rituals out of the way, Nouhime had wished that she could gather up her children for lunch to announce the news that she had for the most of them. Seeing that they were all growing up into fine adults, it wouldn't be wrong to start arranging their future marriages. Not only would it help the clan grow, but it would help the Aoki's and Kato's become better allied, as the Elders had hoped for. Now it was left to Nouhime to do the compromises.
She still had her own promise to complete, but the fear of being known as a traitor to either one of her families pained her.
Just wait a little longer Blairs...
Nouhime gave her servants orders to round up the young Aokis, but none seemed anywhere to be found.
"Madam, Miss Ciela was seen leaving the grounds alone earlier this morning while Your Ladyship was with His Lordship." Reported a maid to Nouhime, who was now tapping her fingers over her crossed arms.
If there was anything Nouhime detested more in life, it was being disobeyed by her own children. All their lives she had forbidden them to leave the Aoki Temple without her given permission, on the count that she knew the outside world was not kind to the nobles, especially ones that didn't know much of what really happened out there. She would at least like for her children to leave with a guard.
"Please inform any of my children, when you see them, that I wish to speak to them as soon as possible in my study."
As a mother, she only did this out of love...
"If I am not in my study, make sure they stay in their room. I need to be making some errands today..."
The maid nodded and slightly bowed at Nouhime before she sharply turned and left the Aoki household to the 'streets'.

Once back at home, Nouhime set herself to start embroidering with the new fabric and thread she had picked up at the market in the streets, right by the window of her chambers that looked over the front of the Aoki temple grounds. It was a hobby and stress reliever that Nouhime had taken up on after her husband's death. Since then, she has made numerous ceremonial outfits that her Aoki family members wore on traditional festivals of the clan.
All through out the time Nouhime was embroidering, she couldn't stop thinking about her daughter and the Kato. Perhaps it wasn't just time for arrangements for her children, but for herself as well. She had been a widow for quite a while, Takashi had given her his blessing in advance...
The threaded needle dropped from her hand to the floor. The sound it made was too faint to hear, especially when Nouhime gasped went over it.
She couldn't just marry any other man. It had to be another Aoki member like Takashi's unmarried brothers, unless her sons married, especially the eldest, in order to ensure that the Aoki bloodline was under no threat.
Threat...Oh, would the Blair love that. The Aoki's downfall would be part of their victory, with Nouhime as their little puppet.
It was the last thing Nouhime wanted to think about, but she couldn't think of anything else. She had almost forgott-Forgotten about her daughter Ciela!
It was already dark out side, probably past dinner time since Nouhime could feel her stomach grumble.
'Dear Kami-sama! Give me strength! I can feel this family already starting to fall apart! Please, give me strength to go against what I might do to the next child I see in front of me!
