If you've read in prayer requests, I asked for everyone to pray for my family...I hope everyone doesn't mind that I'm not going to be too specific in this topic...
To make a long story short; my step-dad made a mistake and I'm finding it hard to let go of my anger and forgive him...
I know this is one of the most basic principles of Christianity...I am angry him for what he did and at myself for not being able to forgive because I know that is what I need to do...I pray constantly and I know God will give me what I need when He is ready, but until then;
Anyone have any ideas on what might help me let go of my anger and forgive him?

I feel for your struggle to forgive. I do not know specifics but I'm sure that whatever it is it has deeply affected you and possibly others you love.
Although I have no real tips or advice, I give you my empathy. It has taken me years to forgive my parents for their violent divorce, and that process is still ongoing - 15 years after the fact.
When we feel anger, hatred, or enmity caused especially by those we thought we could trust, it becomes deep seeded - rooted down to the very core of our hearts. That is why it hurts so much.
The fact that you know you need to forgive, and alone acknowledging that its difficult, tells me that you're on the correct path. It is difficult to forgive and that is why it is a day to day battle - sometimes raging for a whole lifetime.
What I can say for sure is that you can voice how you've been hurt and why: that isn't wrong. But beyond that, do your best to keep a brighter perspective and show your father grace unending. A greater part of the time its not about chastising or constructive criticism that changes a person. The greatest work is done by living and extending grace by our own personal choice and conduct.
I wish you both well.
