Wykla's brow wrinkled further as she mumbled to herself. "Well that's a tough one. We both know her well. Lets see, I don't know many female candidates and fewer well. There's Ralae and her dragon. I didn't think he knew them? Maybe just recently?" She glanced for a hint on his face. Who was it?
She reluctantly handed the blue back. He was sweet and she'd enjoyed holding him. Wykla smiled when Boreal rubbed his head against her cheek as if to say he was still there. "Mmmmm" The smell of the soup made her mouth water. She blinked with surprise at Pazzult. "Why wont you get much? There's plenty."
She took a bite of soup before answering. "Not really. I don't know many female candidates or riders. Plus I can't be sure who you've made friends with. The only one I can think of is Ralae." She looked hopeful she got the answer right.
Boreal nodded eagerly. His always made sure there was enough. He loved his girl.

"If you knew the way Kip ate, you would understand. Sometimes I think all that food goes /between/ when he eats. But not her, I haven't even met her yet though I have seen her around. She is really small for a rider," Pazzult replied.
Kip buried his head in the food and went after it like a tunnel snake. The blue would need a bath later.
Slyly, Pazzult pulled the piece of blue wher hide with gold stitching and beading and set it in front of Wykla. The ties had small glass beads at the end that clacked together. "Why I do believe I have made a very good friend out of you!"

Boreal cheeped to the blue. He should let His eat first. Daintily he accepted a piece from his girl and turned a green eye on Kip to see if he was watching how it was done.
Wykla shook her head, "it can't do that. They don't loose food between do they?" Seeing the blue flit dive head first into the bowl she started to laugh. "Ok, I do see what you mean. Still there's plenty. I'll go get you another bowl and he can have that."
She was just about to get up when blue and gold flashed to catch her attention. "Oh my. It's so pretty Pazz!" Her eyes looked mistily up at him for a moment. She picked it up slowly to examine.
Noticing the shiny His picked up, he bent over to take a closer look. He trilled approvingly of it.

"You asked me if I could make you a head band sometime, so I did. I hope you like it, the colors seem to suit you." Pazzult told her happily. He paid no mind as Kip ate his way through the whole bowl of stew and then expressed sorrow at not having any more.

Wykla blushed slightly. She had forgotten about that, since why would Passult bother to make her a headband? Obviously he had found a reason to. "Thank you. I love the colors." She gave him a broad smile and started to settle the headband into place.
"I..... I don't have anything to give you in return." She glanced away for a moment. Was he going to ask for something in return now?

"And why should you? It was a surprise, a gift because I remembered you wanted a new head band. That is what friends do, silly." Pazzult chided her gently. Now that Kip was done, the little blue had settled on his boy's shoulders and started a one sided conversation with himself and anything around him.
Grabbing another bowl so he could finally eat, Pazzult continued on. "I decided to stay and try for the next clutch. What's the harm in waiting a Turn or two before deciding my fate? Besides, I still have a lot to learn."

"Oh, well it just seemed... I donno, wrong?" She fussed with the headband a moment then smiled at him. "I'm not very good at this Pazz. It's not often I get gifts. I liked the surprise very much." Wykla's mood seemed to soar and brought a happy trill from the flit on her shoulder. Boreal loved his girl in a happy mood. Somehow he managed to connect the boy to his girl's happiness and gave him a happy cheep. However, the blue caused him to look a bit puzzled.
"Oh that's great to hear! Too bad you have to stand with the boys, otherwise you could stand with Mercy and me. I've suggested to her we stand together this time." She tilted her head. "I hope you Impress Pazz."

"Well, I know you will. A dragon just as strong and as smart as you are... So, I will see you on the Sands, if I don't see you sooner. Gotta head out, I am supposed to help do something...mending... Don't remember but it does put a needle and thread in my hands where it belongs!" Pazzult rose, causing Kip to squawk.
He gave her a smile and a nod. "Take care of yourself and your little bronze, okay?"
