I may be attending a Samhain get together/ritual/potluck this year, and I'm wondering...what are some good ideas for food to bring? I'm thinking hazelnut bread. I will have to drive about 2 hours, so something that is ok to be eaten cold is a must. I'm thinking some home made apple cider might be nice as well, but drinks are probably already covered.

Homemade apple cider sounds good but to make it is a real pain in the butt and it is best to have an apple press. What are you looking to make dessert, breads, or more of a main course sort of thing? And what skill level are you looking at? Can the recipes be a little bit harder? This year I'm making chocolate cupcakes with a pumpkin cheesecake filling. For winter solstice I had whiskey cornbread muffins (which were delicious)! There is also pumpkin bread or apple cakes.
