Products to use if interested-

#1. Nair Microwaveable Body Wax Kit
#2. Nads Brazilian Wax (Red wax, smells like strawberry jam) aka Naughty Waxing Kit
#3. Surgi Brazilian Waxing Kit

Why? All of the Brazilian formulas do not use Muslin strips, which enable you to get into smaller and tighter areas. The wax is pliable, and comes off with ease, as long as you pull it at the right time.

I highly recommend the Nair kit, because the wax doesn't need to be heated up for that long, and it remains a nice warm consistency. Only occasionally does the wax ever get too hot to apply. Plus- You get a TON of wax! The wax comes off in one full strip, and get all of the teeny tiny baby hairs! Doesn't hurt as much as the other brands! Doesn't break, and stays thick enough to grab, and pull. It cools evenly on the skin, so you don't pull, and only half comes off.

I used the Nair kit this morning on my lower delicate parts, and one thing I can tell you- Use a mirror, lay down a few paper towels, and set up the waxing procedure on your bed. You'll get better results that way. smile The further you go down in that area, and wax more of the baby hairs, the more it hurts. Not significantly, but your eyes might tear a little. This is why I suggest this product.

The Nads one is alright. Not enough wax for the price, and the consistency is so so. I don't like the way the wax comes off, as it's brittle. I love the smell, however. Gets off the rough hairs, but leaves behind the smaller ones.

Surgi wax is wonderful for the price, and it does the job. The only problem I find, is if you leave it in the microwave too long, the wax boils, and possibly explodes. Comes out like a latte, instead of a nice honey consistency. (By all means, don't apply it if it's too hot. It will scald, and burn your skin, it also has a horrible time cooling down) You have to keep an eye on it. It's also very drippy, and gets over everything.

NOT TO USE
ALL Sally Hansen Products for waxing
Nads regular waxing kit/ Eyebrow waxing kit

Why?

All of the muslin strip methods I've used do not pull the soft wax up, and instead jerk the skin around, causing bruising. It's incredibly painful.

Sally Hansen is like taking thick glue, and applying it all over your skin. It will not ever come off, unless you use a whole lot of baby oil.

Nads is the same damn thing. It leaves the skin irritated, and bruised.

I am seriously tempted to try waxing my own bikini area.

I'm still way too embarrassed about my weight to go to a spa full of beautiful people and ask someone to do that.

Sally Hansen wax works just fine for me. It DOES take forever to heat up though. Sometimes I have to leave it in for three or four minutes as opposed to the like 30 seconds they suggest.

Use azolene oil. It's one part skin calmer and one part wax bit remover. I use it after every waxing. You can get a big bottle for cheap at Sally Beauty Supply. It's blue.

I used the Sally Hansen wax with a friend years ago for the lulz and it was hilariously awful. It was extremely painful, the wax wouldn't come off, and it left us with a bunch of gross purple spots. And it removed nothing. Some of this is due to the fact that we'd never done it before but it was still an exceptionally awful product.

Tips on which wax to use on the upper lip?
I generally pluck/thread, but it gets tedious.
I used to wax, but I'd be left with little white pimples and I found that worse than small hairs. >:
Is there any way to avoid that?

Thanks for the topic! I use those cheap ready to wax strips and I gotta be honest, they're not fantastic but they do the job somewhat. But I really want to try some of these 'proper' wax kits now.
