One of the most prominent features of Akim others notice is
his silence. While not due to muteness or some other ailment, Akim is almost eerily quiet all the time. He rarely speaks without being spoken to first, and then, and only then, will he ever explain things verbally. His way of speaking is quite peculiar as well. He likes to say things precisely and particularly, which causes him to talk somewhat slowly. To make up for his lack of verbal usage, Akim has developed rather expressive facial expressions and physical movements. In other words, Akim uses body language more than he would use spoken language. People who're close to him will occasionally tease or rile him up to elicit his extremely detailed expressions or to get a rare glimpse of his less restrained side. But most of the time, his face is adorned with a perpetual blank/neutral look. However behind the seemingly unattached and uninterested visage Akim almost constantly has, he's almost always astutely aware of things around him. Many times, though, Akim tends to focus his entire mind on one thing at a time, observing and analyzing it carefully and thoroughly. Often people will find him staring intently at certain objects, or other living beings. He freaks others out much of the time when they turn to find him staring at them keenly without even flinching or looking away when they make eye contact. You might think this would make him a good listener, but it isn't all that true as he tends to tune out people in favor of focusing his attention on his current object of interest. If someone unfamiliar is speaking to him, he'll spend most of the time observing them and will generally have to ask them to repeat what they had just said. He has a hard time making friends or meeting new people since his 'quirks' make him rather socially awkward.

One of the few things that Akim deeply enjoys is music. He is enthralled by it and has ventured himself to learn how to
play it whether by instrument or vocally. The latter very rarely ever happens and occurs almost always when he's alone. It's very likely that the only people who have ever heard him sing are his parents and his brother. Akim has a surprisingly low tenor voice when singing, which is quite smooth despite his minimal usage of it. The instrument he's most skilled at is a zither-type of instrument, much like a ---, with the pan pipes at a close second. He has respect for musically inclined people, but not to the point where he finds them better then those without the talent. His musical tastes lean toward songs with a melancholy or haunting feeling rather then the happier bouncy songs. It does suit his personality and looks though, I mean, imagine a serious looking semi-mute listening to a song akin to pop. Yeah...no.

Random Information:

~He has a curved scar around his left eye from the time he got too close to a cat when studying it and it reached out and clawed him. Occasionally if his body is too strained or tired, the scar will pulse and throb causing him some pain.

~He's very sensitive, meaning he has a very acute sense of touch, taste, etc. Due to a lifetime of intensely focusing on different things, he is superb at recognizing the feel, taste, or other attributes of certain objects. He love food because of this. He eats slowly savoring and picking out each and every taste in his every bite. As a result, Akim doesn't eat as much as other people since chewing for a longtime can make you feel fuller! ;D Of course, eating less makes him quite skinny and his figure is rather tall and willowy to the point where it looks like a strong wind could blow him over. However his sensitivity is a double-edged sword. Akim is much more susceptible to burns, ice, and other physical damaging attacks/things. Flesh wounds, especially paper cuts and burns, hurt more for him then they do for most other people. However, as childhood is fraught with minor scrapes and whatnot, Akim has learned to block out the pain for most minor injuries [paper cuts and pinpricks by needles] which has become a exceptionally useful talent when observing more dangerous things[like cacti!].

~He likes to go at his own pace no matter if it's contrary to everyone elses'. Akim Will stop to look at a flower on the side of the road if it interests him and will not move unless in mortal danger which can annoy people who are traveling with him as they need to go on. In reverse, he might hurry along and walk away from something other people with him are inspecting or waiting for if it doesn't interest him and leave his group behind. It is in this way that Akim makes a horrible traveling mate.

~Despite Akim lackluster physically defensive ablities, he makes up for it with his talent for magic. In the pursuit of a better protection for himself, Akim has a rather large arsenal of defensive and de-buffing spells. In comparison, his attack spells are definitely less numerous and all less powerful then his strongest defensive spell. In combat terms, Magic is his strongest suit and he has little to no training with most martial arts or combat weapons. If anything, Akim will leave physical combat for his brother Thellos to deal with, preferring to stay in the background de-buffing him or backing him up.

~Akim is very close to his older brother Thellos. Thellos is the one who Akim will actually occasionally look away from a interesting object for when spoken to. Compared to his sibling's sadistic stance on life, Akim is much more neutral almost to the point of seeming cruel. For example, even if a priest came and asked him to fight for the good side because the world was in danger, Akim wouldn't agree to because he doesn't have a very stable 'moral compass'. He sees no reason to help unless it directly affects him. [In actuality, these words make him sounds meaner than he really is. He would help a staving dog on the street, etc.] He has no opinion of things being 'evil' or 'good' having a gray colored world instead of black and white. In addition to this view, Akim also somewhat rejects the idea of perfection, instead feeling that everything is a form of perfection in it's own way. So if you ever ask him if something you made is 'better' or 'perfect' he'll be quite confused and aggravated because he thinks everything has it's own standard. [It's a confusing concept, even to the creator of AKim..] It's a much better idea to ask specific questions like "Is this one spicier", etc. Much of the time, Akim does side with his precious brother because family is quite important to him. Thellos is the one who can understand all of Akim non-verbal messages the best and it's quite helpful to have him around when you need something Akim does to be translated. [Akim himself isn't quite fond of having to explain himself.] As a younger brother, Akim does have that slightly idolized idea of Thellos, which can cause him to overlook some of the meaner details of his brother. As Thellos is almost everything thing Akim's not, [loud, brash, sadistic] Akim feels that Thellos almost completes the other half of him, speaking enough for both of them and having the strength of them both combined. In reverse, Akim acts as the the foil to Thellos, making the minute and detailed observations where Thellos doesn't and such. Together they make an almost unstoppable and perfect team.
