Kariana Risenguard____the gerudo/hylian womanName: Kariana Risenguard Age: About twenty years old. Race: ½ Gerudo, ½ Hyrulian.
Height: 5'7". Weight: Approx. 140 ilbs. Figure: Slender, just a notch above 'petite'. She's constantly travelling around the land, so she's usually doing some sort of physical exercise. This means she has a small amount of muscle around her thighs and upper arms but otherwise appears like your average, dainty woman.
Eye Color: A piercing shade of gold. Hair Color: Dark red. Hair Style: Slightly wavy and, when not up, it falls four inches past her shoulders. She usually wears it up in a firm bun with no part showing, with her bangs swept to the right and left. A few renegade strands escape and insist on framing her face on both sides, usually. Skin Color: It's a naturally darker olive hue.
Clothing: She isn't very fond of constrictive clothing, especially since it's such a hindrance when she's exploring. Her usual outfits consists of a light beige tank-top like shirt, a belt with a lacy extension that falls behind her, which secures a short pair of light beige shorts to her legs. Her boots are the same hue as everything else - beige - with simple red designs running up and down them. This is her typical outfit when she's not expected to go mapping somewhere like a swamp, forest, or dank cave - it changes to match the situation, but generally remains a bit...skimpy. Accessories: She's always seen wearing a silver chain necklace with a red ruby charm hanging from it. It's the only item she has from her enigmatic mother. It's also worth noting that she has both her ears pierced once, and wears small gold hoops in them.
Hylian traits: Pointy ears, her clothing tends to be less Arabic-influenced then the Gerudo's, a small nose. Gerudo traits: Golden eyes, dark skin, body made for speed, red hair, and a knack for wielding a bow.

She was born with adventure in her blood, making Kariana just short of suicidal when it comes to her courageous persona. There is no mountain she will not climb, no forest she will not traverse, no ocean that can't be crossed - to her, fear is but a hindrance, and she feels she has nothing to lose and so often pushes herself to the limit. As such, she is incredibly reckless when it comes to her life, and sometimes the lives of others.
She's someone who likes to leap before they think, but this doesn't mean she's stupid by any means. She has a quick wit and a calculating mind that has adapted to move at the intense speed she likes to carry things out with. But, like anything speedy, there is often room for error. She's energetic as they come, which often gives her an incredibly airy, happy-go-lucky aura. Her determination, however, tends to juxtapose this as she can get quite scary when she's hell bent on achieving something and won't let anyone tell her otherwise.
It's true that she's as friendly as one can be, and her sense of humor is golden, but beware for this bombshell has a temper not to be trifled with. Heaven help the souls who invoke the female's wrath, which is not easily quelled, as she tends to hold grudges. She can be incredibly emotional if you catch her in one of those rare sad moods, but she hides it well enough from complete strangers. Friends, however, might easily receive a nice, wordy rant from her on her troubles.

Fears: If there's one thing she fears above all else, it's confinement, or being trapped somewhere and not being able to roam around. Not to be confused with claustrophobia. Usually this fear begins to manifest even when she spends too much time in a room (for example, spending too much time in a bar or inn makes her fidgety). She has a deep connection with the outdoors, and as such, muchly prefers to be in it. She also is afraid of disease and very much likes to keep her distance from sick people.

History:
Born to a fierce, untameable Gerudo mother, and a strong Hylian father, Kariana inherited traits from the best of both worlds.
Her mother was a spitfire who had taken to the pirating ways the Gerudo women so frequently found themselves drawn to. She was more than a worthy warrior, so skilled with a bow it was rumored she could hit her mark from over a mile away (untrue of course, but she was fond of having scary rumors about herself).
However, even early in life, she would not know the warmth of her mother's love, as the woman left her father as soon as she had recovered from the tedious labor process. She had felt trapped by having a child, or so her father told her later in life, and could not so easily leave the pirating ways she'd committed herself to before she met the man she supposedly loved. However, her mother did supposedly love her, as before she left, she bestowed a beautiful silver and ruby necklace to Kariana's father, which 'would protect the girl even though she was not around to'.
Current Occupation:
Kariana is a meddly of things, but only because the pay of her initial occupation is so volatile she's had to take on side jobs as well.
- Explorer/Map Maker: When a town or some elite noble needs a chain of caves explored (usually for rare substances like gold), an ominous forest trekked, or some other form of the unknown made known, she is typically commissioned along with a small team of others to take on such a task. She is very artistically inclined, and her maps are often coveted for the beauty she hand paints into each one, but only after thoroughly exploring where she needs to and jotting down ample notes about the area.
- Escort: A side job she isn't terribly fond of is offering her assistance through much of the same regions as above, that are usually dangerous, or just hard to maneuver. Because of her battle prowess and familiarity with the wilderness she is perfectly capable of guiding foreigners or whoever through the shadier parts of the Kingdom, and this often supplements her income when commissions for maps and such are few and far in between.
- Artist: Will occasionally peddle a painting or knick-knack or two at a market if she is ever in a really tight spot for money but usually her artistic abilities go towards map making.

Strengths:
- Magic. Tends to steer towards light and fire-based magics, though favors the light-based stuff. She can create small fires and the occasional fire ball but that's about it for that. Her light abilities, since summoning the Esper Alucio, have been magnified of course.
- Agility. Her Gerudo lineage lives up to its name in that she's inherited all her peoples' agility. She's very fast and very nimble, able to scale a trees or rocks in little to no time at all. Catch her if you can.
Weaknesses:
- Strength. Being agile has given her a serious disadvantage in the strength department. She CANNOT hold her own in hand to hand combat worth a darn, which is why she prefers long-range attacks.
- Stamina. She prefers to finish up battles as quickly as possible, because she's quick to lose steam once it starts. She can't sustain battle for very long, simply because her body and mind arn't used to that sort of strain. Running away, however, is a different story...
Weapons: Her weapon of choice is the classic bow and arrow. Her father taught her how to carve them out of wood when she was very little, and she can proudly say she learned from the best! She wields one she's made herself, and always carries a sling full of arrows with her. She likes to decorate them with feathers and beads out of boredom in her spare time. However, she also carries two small daggers on her waist, for times when she's cornered and using her bow isn't practical.
Battle strategy: Surprise ambush followed by hitting the enemy while they're dumbfounded and hoping for the best. She's not a very strategic battler, but she likes to use her knack for being agile to her advantage. She also will keep her distance for as long as possible considering the bow and arrow is a long range weapon.
