The Fall of Zeal - A Chrono Trigger Mafia

Special Notes: Due to the amount of killing roles, this should probably be a large mafia. Also, day 1 backstory:
The premise of this Mafia takes us to the mystical city of Zeal, circa 13,000 BC. Guided by the tainted power of Lavos, a people discovered magic and ascended to the sky. At first, they did wonderful things with their newfound power - they studied the properties and facets of magic and invented many things to make life easier.

But with time, a dark wind began to blow...

The Zealots began to think of themselves as superior to the tribe they had left behind, so when one of their mountains began to rise as Zeal had, the queen ordered it be chained to the ground. The Zealot army burned their homes, ridiculed their aspirations, and named them to reflect their scorn: "Earthbound".

The day the chains were put in place, several vengeful Earthbound snuck aboard the Zealots' prized aeroplane. They marched off the plane dressed in Zealot garb, and patiently waited for night to fall...

The next morning, Zealots gathered around the flagpole to gawk at the lifeless body of their Queen hanging at the top from a makeshift noose. Vines found only in the Earthbound regions had been arranged to make a message at the foot of the flagpole:

"For us to rise, you must fall."


Zeal - Town Side
Elementalists
There are three of you: Water, Wind, and Fire. You start off knowing your fellow Elementalists, and each day the three of you may agree on one target to attack with your elemental powers combined. For each member of the trio that dies, the success rate of your attack is reduced by 33%.

Scholar
You spend most of your time in the vast libraries, giving you the knowledge and common sense you require to analyze people and their loyalties. Each day you may choose one person to analyze and discover their role and alignment.

Princess Schala
You are a benevolent soul who hates to see people suffer. Each day, you may choose one person to shield with your magic, protecting them from any attacks for that day.

Janus
You are the young prince of Zeal, Schala's beloved brother. You are safe from all forms of elimination except Nu as long as Schala is alive.

Alchemist
You are a curious magician who loves to experiment. Each day you can pick one target to be your test subject, either killing, roleblocking, or protecting them, or learning their role.


Earthbound - Mafia Side
Village Chief
You are the leader of the Earthbound people, and it is you who decides the target. You are responsible for sending in the PM for your side's nightly kill; no other teammate may do it.
If the Village Chief dies, any team member may send in the nightly kill.

Vengeful Lovers
You and your lover lost your newborn child in the Zeal raid, and came along to get even, though you're both still grieving. Each day the Lovers may choose one target, and two coins will be flipped. If the outcomes match, the target is killed. If they do not, the murder fails. If one of the Lovers dies, the other loses all will to live and commits suicide the next day.

Fearmonger
You are a seven-foot-tall, four-hundred-pound mountain of muscle. And when you make threats, people do what you say. Each day you may select one person to frighten into not using their role.


Neutral
Nu
All life begins and ends with you. Each day, you may choose one person to headbutt. If they are not being targeted by any other role, you will kill them; otherwise your attack will fail. You cannot be eliminated through any method except the lynch. Your objective is to be the last person standing; regardless of numbers, neither Mafia nor Town side can win the game until Nu is dead.

Dalton
You may be a high-ranking official in the Zealot army, but you have your own agenda; you want to be ruler of Zeal. As such, your loyalties may vary. You may choose whether to ally with the Town side or the Mafia side at the beginning of the game, and when scanned, alignment is not shown; only role.

Cardcaptor Sakura Mafia

Town
Kinomoto Sakura
The 10 year old heroine of the series, Sakura has been chosen by Clow Reed to be the new guardian of the cards. If she correctly identifies a player and the card they hold, that card is sealed for the owner and it's powers granted to Sakura temporarily. To discourage random guessing, an incorrect guess will negate Kero’s ability that night due to him following her to assist in what turns out to be a false alarm. If Kero is disposed of, Sakura can't use her ability the next day; as she is in mourning. If she chooses the same player and card a second time at any point, she has a 50% fail rate at sealing. If she is successful and she chooses the same card a third time, the fail rate is 75% and so on.

Night abilities and The Mirror will be hers until the day is over. Other abilities are not sealed until the next day, where she then assumes that role for the day.

Examples of her power: She identifies The Fiery that day. That night, The Fiery cannot make a kill, but Sakura can.

She identifies The Shadow that day. The next day, The Shadow loses their mask for the day and Sakura becomes The Shadow for that day, unable to use her own role until the next day.

She identifies The Illusion. Instead of assuming the power, she instead chooses what the player appears as if investigated or killed.

PM me any questions about how her powers affect other cards.

Li Syaoran
With his Jian Sword and Fulu Talismans of the elements, Syaoran serves as this game's Vigilante. If he targets Sakura, however, the killing traumatizes him and he loses his ability to kill.

Daidouji Tomoyo
Tomoyo is everywhere yu’d least expect her, and with her is her trusty camcorder. She is this game's version of the Cop.

Kero
This nosy little winged plushie can use the Sakura Cards as Tarot cards. Each day he can ask a trio of questions and have them answered to the masses. He is immune to The Fiery since it is one of the two elemental cards he draws his power from.
(Any references to the Sakura Cards in the answers are NOT necessarily references to who has that card.)

Yue
The guardian of the Moon is fiercely loyal to Sakura, and by association, her allies. He serves as this game's Doctor.


Mafia
Hiiragizawa Eriol
As the reincarnation of Clow Reed, Eriol possesses powerful magic. He is immune to the attacks of Syaoran and The Nothing; he must be lynched. He is this game's Mob Boss. Spinel takes command if he dies, and Ruby after him.

Ruby Moon
A magical guardian created by Eriol to oppose Yue. She is this game's Dancer.

Spinel Sun
A magical guardian created by Eriol to oppose Kero. He is a Mafia-side Cop.

The Fiery
The mafia member who owns The Fiery card is an especially violent person who loves bloodshed and destruction. They are a Mafia-side Vigilante.



Neutral
The Nothing
Furious at being forgotten and deserted by the Sakura Cards, The Nothing won’t rest until all the cards are brought under her possession and everyone responsible has been punished. This game's Serial Killer. If identified by Sakura, she can choose to expose The Nothing to Syaoran via coin-flip (Tomoyo if Syaoran is dead), OR she can try to seal it herself. If she chooses to tell, heads would send Sakura's identity to him, tails would send The Nothing's identity. Syaoran will not be told which was sent. He'll just get a name that could be either Sakura or The Nothing. If she tries to seal, heads would be killing The Nothing, tails would be her getting killed by The Nothing. If Sakura has no one to tell, her chance of sealing success is 75%. She is immune to The Fiery.


Optional roles

(Note: These roles are added or subtracted to a game based on the number of players. All roles here will be randomly aligned to balance the sides unless specified.)

Mihara Chiharu, Sasaki Rika, Yanagisawa Naoko (BFTrio)
These three girls have been inseparable best friends since they first met. They are this game's Friends.

The Mirror
The player who possesses The Mirror card is spared from the first attempt on their life; if targeted by anyone with killing powers, The Mirror will take their place.

The Shield
The owner of The Shield can use its guarding powers to prevent Roleblocking and Investigating on one target. If the guarded target is chosen, the prevented ability will be reflected to a random target.

The Watery
If the owner of The Watery is killed by Syaoran, The Fiery, or The Nothing, the card will turn into a puddle by the corpse, the moonlight reflecting the image and identity of the killer.

The Illusion
The one who possesses The Illusion card is a master of disguise. PM's the mod once a day with the role and alliance they wish to appear as for the day. They will appear as their chosen role and alliance if investigated. Upon death, they will not be revealed as The Illusion, but instead as the role and alliance they were using at the time.

The Erase
The owner of The Erase card has the power to nullify the vote of one person once a day.

The Dream
The Dream card has the ability to trap a person in a dream of the users choosing. Once a day, the carrier can change the vote of one person.

The Twin
The two players who own The Twin card are partners who do everything together. They start knowing each other and their shared alliance. Will play for the town in place of the BFTrio unless the game goes over 19 players, in which they will play on the Mafia's side in tandem with the town Trio.

The Shadow
The mafia member in possession of The Shadow card serves as a Spy for this game.

The Time
The Townie who holds The Time card is a unique player. On the normal day to day basis, they’re just a regular townie. But through the power of The Time, this townie can make a semi ultimate sacrifice to alter history or future.

Examples of this power are: If killed, they can revive themselves at the cost of their ability. They may sacrifice their power to undo the killing of another, or they may sacrifice it to amplify the abilities of a chosen player for one day. (I.E. Syaoran can kill twice that day, Tomoyo can investigate two people, Yue can protect two people.)

If killed by The Nothing while still in possession of the card (Ability not used yet), that player takes the card before an ability can be used and gains the power to kill twice a day. Time is always a town player.

Residents - Town Side
Dr Frank-N-Furter
An eccentric genius, carefree transvestite, and shameless pervert. He uses his.. er.. "feminine wiles" to roleblock one person a night.

Columbia
Likes to consider herself Frank-N-Furter's right-hand woman. She's happy to carry out his dirty work for him, and can eliminate one person a day.

Eddie
A delivery boy who has a knack for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Each day he can accidentally walk in on one person doing something that reveals their role.

Rocky
Frank's perfect creation. He is opposed to violence, and can adamantly protect one person a night from any attacks.

Magenta
Riff Raff's sister and lover. If the two make contact, she can PM the game master with his name to join his side, but if he kills her, he will kill himself as well out of grief.

Fat Transylvanian
Not much bothers this plump, jolly party-goer. They can survive the first attack made on them.

Transylvanians
Vanilla townies.


Guests - Mafia Side
Brad
Brad tries to be a model young man, but there are some things he just feels too strongly about and sometimes he, for lack of a better word, explodes. When he is eliminated, he will kill a random person.

Janet
Janet's a mixed bag of emotions, so she's very unpredictable. She will either kill, roleblock, protect, or investigate her target.

Dr. Scott
Doctor Scott is very knowledgeable and attentive. His advice can change one player's vote daily.


Servants - Neutral
Riff Raff
A butler dissatisfied with his master's recent behavior, he's decided to do something about it. Every night he can gun one person down. His objective is to return to Transylvania with his sister as the last people standing. If he makes contact with Magenta, he can PM the Game Master with her name and she will join his side.
