Winter: Entry #1: Year 1 Mood: Calm, relaxed Listening to: Hot Hot Heat "Middle of Nowhere" So... it's been a few days since I checked in. Okay that might be a stretch. It's been over a month... But to be fair I have been busy moving in and getting settled, so you can't be too mad at me. I mean really, would you rather I have a place to sleep... or an update to my journal?
>.> I knew you would say that.
Well, back to the real topic. Nirvani. It's not what I expected. That's for sure. It's much better. The people seem to be very friendly, or atleast I seem to be meeting the friendly ones. There also seems to be a large number of Festivals here. I've been to two and seem to have missed a few others while I was getting the lay of the land. Lots of Festivals point to happy people right?
Oh and then there's work, which finally opened up. I now have a job and will be making a steady income. Auntie would be so proud. Actually she would laugh and say she told me so, but I don't want to think about that. Anyway, I may have made a new friend. We shall simply have to see, Diary. We will have to see.

Winter: Entry #2: Year 1 Mood: Excited Listening to: Carol of the Bells (Trans Siberian Orchestra) So... there is a new festival! The Stocking festival. We are meant to go and exchange gifts and give thanks to the faeries for the gifts we are given. Well I don't have many friends here yet... okay, okay... I have no friends yet. But I have met a few people, and feel pretty comfortable with two of them.
So, Diary, I am on a mission, to get at least one of them a present to give at the festival. Though I don't know what Freddy will like after only one real conversation. Is that to soon to give a present? I'm also not exactly sure it's appropriate to give your employer a gift, though I may be able to find something appropriate, that won't make me look like I'm some love sick teen or some brown noser... ri-i-i-ight.
Ugh, diary, why am I so bad at this? Oh well... wish me luck.
Oh and on a nother note, I have met three Murrows! I think I only have one left. That's got to be some sort of record... right?

Spring: Entry #1: Year 2 Mood: Pensive Listening to: Secrets (OneRepublic) I can't seem to get away, Diary. I though moving out here would be the perfect way to get away from my Aunt and all her craziness. I was hoping that after a little break I could go back home, go to college, and generally be a better person about all this. But, how am I supposed to get a break when the people of Nirvani are just like her?
Like my new friend, Freja. She is such a nice person, but she very much believes in all that magical hokieness that Aunt Sybill does. Though, truth be told, it's getting a little easier to hear her talk about it... most times. I think she has this crazy idea about me being a Goddess all because I got voted as the Harvest Goddess at the Harvest Goddess Festival. I honestly can't figure that on out though. I only signed up becuase I was completely sure I wouldn;t get enough votes for it... and I only went because I don't want it to be a big deal that I am so opposed to magic. But that all back fired didn't it?
Oh well, at least Crimson is normal. No wierdness there, which is a big relief since I'd probably have to quit, and I like the job to much to want to think about quitting. Oh speaking of the job, we have a new vet, Lirian. She seems nice. Haven't had much of a chance to talk to her yet though. And speaking of Lirian, her and her cousin got arrested at the Goddess festival. It was a big hubbub, and the two were completely innocent. It was all a big misunderstanding, but they did get arrested. The cops in Nirvani are a bit overzealous if you ask me.
And to wrap it all up... I got a date, Diary. With Freddy. He was voted the Harvest King and we won a date. A date we are totally skipping out on since it was swimming with sharks and well, that seemed a little too daring for a first date. So we are going Alien hunting instead. I'm just hoping for a shooting star.

Summer: Entry #1: Year 2 Mood: Happy, just happy Listening to: Smash Mouth "I'm a Believer" Well, Diary, you simply wouldn't believe the amount of festivals I have been to. First there was the Treasure Hunting Festival. I was part of the GlueGold team and Crimson was our leader. There were a few others but only River and Keith talked. Keith is really smart but a bit of a grouch. Thanks to Keith and Crimson we won the treasure hunt and we each one solid gold eggs! Strange prizes, but unique.
Second, there was the Beach Fesitval, nothing too fancy, just a way to welcome the warmer weather as far as I can tell. But, I did meet a new person, a female in fact. I know weird right, since all I tend to meet are older males? >.> Not that the older males aren't fun...
XP Anyway, her name was Usagi, and she played a very short round of frisbee with me. The swimming contest started pretty much right after we started. That was kind of a bummer, Usagi seemed nice, and I think she would make a good friend. Course I had to start the swimming contest and I couldn't find her afterwards. I did win the swimming contest though. I hadn't really thought I would win, but I was feeling pretty energetic, so maybe it was a combination of luck and energy.
Finally, there was the Valentine's Festival. It turned out much better than I had originally thought. Since I didn't have any previous ,ade plans I did the whole blind date thing. My date was Rory Cameron. A very attractive blond, with a nice laugh... so many maybes Diary, but atleast it's all fun.

Summer: Entry #2: Year 2 Mood: Festivaled out Listening to: Girls Like Boys "Thunder" Annnnnnnd two more festivals down. With all these festivals I'm exhausted, Diary. I honestly don't know how these Nirvanians keep up with so many of them, and work, and socializing, though I guess the festivals take care of that.
I decided to try out the tomato festival after learning that it was really a giant food fight with tomatos as said food. Sounds gross right? Well you would be right. I get hit with a tomato by Rory of all people! Of course he looked cute doing it but the tomato splattered across my shirt with it's little yellow seeds was not cute at all. And it was cold too! *shutters* I'll have to work on my dodging. >.>
But other than that, I actually had a nice back and forth with a cute little kid. We went back and forth for a few rounds, he was really good at dodging... not that I'm great at throwing. Me and my weak little girly arms. Hmmmm, I forgot to tell him he did a good job, I'll have to remember if I see him again. On another note I was on a team with River and some other girl, never met her, but River totally won the festival for us. It was awesome.
Oh! And even Azriel finally got to compete in a festival, the Animal Festival as it is so aptly named. He did very well, made me very proud when he stole... whatever he stole from whomever. I don't believe anyone actually claimed it. But he didn't win. The mayor's lemur won, huh.
Crimson was at the animal festival as well and we got to meet Rally, his very beautiful and very new Afghan. Even Amand came over and joined us with Jet and Abby looking happy and healthy. Too bad it was cut short by some narcissitic idiot.
Anyway, needless to say I am going to take a break from festivals for a while. Trust me Diary, we need it.
