B i o : In the land of the living Oda had only been around the age of 19 before he was murdered. He had graduated high school early and went to college to become an inspired artist. He graduated after two years and was off to become the greatest artist in japan. His art became well known and soon sky rocketed to the top of the list as the most expensive art out there. Oda was at a museum where his art was being shown to the public and auctioned off. It was dark out and everyone was there to get a piece of Oda's great artwork. Oda went outside to grab a smoke before heading back inside, It just was not his night. As he went outside he went around to the alley to smoke, not wanting his buyers to know of his bad habit. A couple guys were sitting there waiting for some rich smug to take a wrong turn. Oda was lighting what looked to be a cigar, in actuality it was a blunt. The marijuana took the edge off his nerves when he spoke in front of the crowds. As he lit the blunt one of the guys stepped in front of him. Thats when the second guy took Oda out with a single gun shot to the back of his head.
When Oda stood up he looked as if he only had a headache, his eyes panning over to his lifeless body. He was dead, and he knew it. His "life" would no longer be the same. He was stranded, wondering the earth as a ghost. Of course nothing normal ever happens to him. He runs out of the alley and glances around. It was about ten hours after his death, no one seemed to notice he had gone. As he walked the streets with tears in his eyes he noticed a group of strangely dressed people. They were wearing Robes of white with black markings on them. Each wielded a katana that was at their waist. He followed them as they ran through the streets, chasing creatures of black, green, and white. Each one was large. There was a man that held a sword in his hand, the number thirteen written on the back of his robes. Oda watched as the men took down each creature. Soon the man turned to him and approached. Oda did not know how this guy saw him, but he did. the man lifted his sword and touched the butt of his to Oda's forehead. Oda vanished as he was sent to a place called the soul society. After staying there for a year or two he was selected to join the others in the Academy. And just like when he was alive he excelled in the academy and was chosen to join the thirteenth squad.

Attacks in Shikai state are proceeded by the word "Sobyou" ( 素描 , Rough Sketch), followed by the attack name.-
Attacks:
Sobyou: Hitofudegaki ( 素描: 一筆書き Rough Sketch: One-stroke sketch)-The shinigami draws Nazo Soushou's brush form in a wide, clockwise circle several times, tracing a red circle through the air as paper forms and spins out in a spiral. This paper can be guided by additional strokes and commands to bind, serve as a smokescreen or inflict minor cuts.
Additional commands through this shikai state can form illusions of smaller creatures, though their range is limited and they are easily dispelled by a well-timed burst of reiatsu or a good hit.
B a n k a i : -The shape of Nazo Soushou does not change, however, a large glowing circle surrounds the shinigami. This circle has four smaller circles touching it's edges at evenly spaced intervals, indicating the cardinal directions of a compass (North, East, South, and West).
Attacks in Bankai state are commands proceeded by the word Gadan. These commands cause sheets of white "paper" to appear vertically inside the four circles and dictate what appears in them. Unlike the shikai state, the illusions generated by Nazo Soushou's bankai are much more solid and dangerous, partially owning to the fact it takes much more damage to destroy them and they can be regenerated.-
Attacks:
Gadan: Shijinjuu ( 画壇: 四神獣, four divine beasts) - The four sheets of paper don the images of the Azure Dragon of the East (Wood), Vermilion Bird of the North (Fire), White Tiger of the West (Metal) and Black Tortoise Of the South (Water). The Shinigami himself represents the Fifth divine beast, The Yellow Dragon of the Center (Earth). The shinigami can indicate which one is to attack and rotate through each one at will by sweeping strokes of the Nazo Soushou's brush state. When activated, the beast selected emerges from the paper and attacks with the element associated with it's beast. The beast is dispelled either by the shinigami ending Bankai, or if it is dispatched by an opponent. If destroyed by an opponent, it reappears on the card from which it was summoned and can be re-summoned.
Gadan: Shitennou ( 画壇: 四天王, four heavenly kings) - The four sheets of paper don the images of Tanmonten of the North (Fire), Komokuten of the West (Earth), Zojoten of the South (Water), Jikokuten of the West (Wind). Significantly stronger than the previous ability, the four individual kings project an aura of palpable menace. Each king, in addition to being affiliated with the element of their cardinal direction, has a mastery of a certain ability and can move in concert with each other, unlike the previous ability, which can only utilize one divine beast at a time.

Personality: Shinato is considered to be a serious, aggressive and decisive individual, proof of this being that he his strongest pieces up front first and picks off the opponent's strongest pieces in a game of chess. But he is an especially violent character as he holds back his strength or toying with his opponents in order to continue the battle for as long as possible. Shinato loves a good brawl whether he's losing or completely decimating the opponent it doesn't matter to him because the thrill of it is just the perfect stimulator for him. But when Shinato is given orders or has one of the very few people he views as a friend is endangered. He won't play around or hold back anymore. No instead, he brings his"A-game" to the battle, not showing any signs of exhaustion or slowing instead only more strength and ferocity. The only reason he would ever get serious over someone he views as friend or loved one is because Shinato dislikes to an extreme extent having to rely on others for emotional substance and views them as a way to be held back and cripples his growth in power. But should someone end up being worth that emotional substance/ or cripple of power and doubtful that someone is, Shinato will protect them with his life, even willing to betray the Soul Society in order to protect the ones that he loves.
Bio: Shinato lived a tough life back in the World of the living, since he was a part of the Bakumatsu era. He trained to become a Samurai as a child and fulfilled that dream at the ripe age of thirteen. Although Samurai were disappearing as Guns became more and more advanced, Shinato became a skilled samurai defeating entire armed platoons with a just his sword. He became the fourth commanding officer of the Imperial forces at age fourteen. Both the emperor and his enemies feared that after the war that he would create a new breed of lethal warriors. With samurai as skilled as Shinato fighting in wars, Guns would be seen as useless means of fighting back. That hurt both sides as they were both making money from selling their guns. Shinato had not realized that his skills would hurt his empire and continued to progress more and more with his sword skills. Shinato soon fell in love with a young woman. Their relationship had progressed to the point of marriage. Hoping to marry on the same day that his country had stopped feuding and a new more responsible leader was put in charge. But his plans were thwarted as Shinato's fiance, family and friends were all kidnapped. Shinato found the culprit and it was none other than the very man he was fighting for. The emperor told Shinato that his influence on the Imperial forces were too great and would heed Japan's progression with technology. Shinato pleaded to have his loved ones released, but the emperor refused. Shinato decided he would do it himself and murdered the emperor. But the emperor wasn't going down alone, he lit a match with his last breath and burned down the building where he, Shinato and Shinato's loved ones were within.
Shinato awoke in the Soul Society once again in the form of a baby. He had not a clue where he was, how he got there or even his life back in the world of the Living. Shinato became pretty popular in Rukongai, traveling from district to district fighting and training people into even better challenges for him. But he encountered someone even tougher than him, a Shinigami. This Shinigami was no ordinary Shinigami as he was the captain of Squad 9 and he was searching for the man who was surprisingly going around beating up hollows. That man was Shinato and he impressed the Captain. The captain even offered him an instant spot on the Ninth squad. Shinato declined and instead told the man that he would rather fight the captain before doing anything. The Captain completely slaughtered him and told Shinato that he should have joined the Gotei 13 first and then challenged him afterwards. Shinato joined the Academy and excelled past the students who had been in the Academy for years. Shinato eventually joined the ninth squad and made it to the rank of Vice-Captain. His Captain the same man that had defeated him offered him the opportunity to rank up to Captain as he wanted to live the simple life. Shinato declined and demanded that he get his rematch before any rank-ups happened. Shinato defeated the Ninth Captain and accepted his offer to rank up to Captain. Shikai: Mirakuruāku shines a bright golden as Shinato draws half of the blade out of it's white sheath. Shinato runs the tip of his middle and pointer fingers across what he has unsheathed. Shinato's hands begin to glow as Mirakuruāku and its sheath shorten into a combat knife and white fingerless gloves. The combat knife form of Mirakuruāku has a light blue guard, light yellow hilt-wrapping in the center of the hilt, a grayish silver leather grip, and a small ring on the guard's blunt side.
With his Mirakuruāku now in its Shikai form, Shinato can manipulate energy, Light and Lightning.
Attacks:
Piasuraito (Piercing Light): Shinato places his middle finger inside of the small ring of the combat knife form Mirakuruāku. Shinato's index is on the blade's side and his thumb pointing upwards as if he was going to fire a gun. Shinato charges the tip of Mirakuruāku with spiritual energy and cocks his hand back as if he really fired a gun. Twelve small sharp pellets of Spiritual energy are then shot out at a relatively fast pace. Shinato can also use a variant of this attack to alter the size of the pellets to fire twenty-five pellets at once.
Fainarufurasshu (Final Flash): Shinato charges Mirakuruāku with his spiritual energy and fires it as a large white blast of pure lightning with extreme force.
Bankai: Once the "Bankai" command has been said, Shinato places his hands on Mirakuruāku and slowly he falls into the ground as if it were a pool of water. Shinato reappears with serious changes to his attire included. Shinato now has on an all white jacket with extend-able bandages on his hands that can wrap an object or opponent. Shinato also has four majestic, angelic wings pointing out of his back. Mirakuruāku is still sheathed on his
Shinato can now battle with others hyper-speed combat, enhanced strength, Kidou and Enhanced Spiritual Power.
Attacks:
Arōierōdoragon (Arrow of the Yellow Dragon): Shinato will hold his right hand out pointed towards the sky, and from the sides of their palms lightning will shoot out about a half a meter, and be thick and loud. Then, Shinato will place his left hand on the palm of his right, and pull their open hand back to their shoulder, holding what looks like a tesla coil's arcs of spiritual energy in their fingers. Then, when they let go of the spiritual energy, the lightning shoots back to the bow. After the lightning hits the bow, a cone of pure electricity[Not like a blast, like a mass of lightning bolts.] is shot towards. It will arc towards Shinato's target(s) and it can destroy up to a third of a kilometer of land in one blow. Once Shinato feels that it is close enough to his target will alter its appearance to take the form of golden dragon.
Tenmetsu Bāsuto (Flashing Burst): Shinato cups his hands to his right side and focuses spiritual energy into the form of a yellow energy sphere. Shinato charges it with much more power. Finally, Shinato thrusts his hands forward and suddenly the area around him dulls in color, as Shinato has drained all of the light into his blast. Shinato fires a huge and massive attack inflicting a huge amount of damage.
Jigoku Furasshuarō (Hell Flash Arrow): Shinato can only perform this technique with his Vizard Mask on. Shinato goes through the same procedure as if he were performing the Arōierōdoragon technique. But instead of it being a gold bow and arrow being formed instead it is red. Shinato lets loose the red arrow and immediately erupts into something resembling Shinato's Vizard mask.

A strange gate seemed to appear just above the ground deep within the forest. Upon opening a single man exited from its depths, stepping to the soft soil that sank under the pressure of his foot. In his right hand he held a cane like object. He seemed to dress like any normal shinigami would, except that his upper body was bare, unguarded. Across his chest strange tribal tattoos were placed, no definite shape. Every few seconds the tattoos would change shape and size, moving across his body like an ever expanding canvas. "Such a beautiful day." The figure spoke calmly out to the forest, his head looking to the sky through the thick over-brush. Closing his eyes as he deeply inhaled, taking in the purest of oxygen.

Almost as if it were planned a large gate opened up, revealing a man with golden white hair. The man continued moving out of the gate. The man followed the foot prints laid by the other man. The man's face would usually show his aggression and decisiveness, but today it was calm, serene and apathetic. It was almost as if he was a modern day Byakuya Kuchiki. The man pressed forward, following the foot prints laid by the other man. "Let's Begin." The man said with a calm and polite voice. The man jumped forward throwing a barrage of punches and kicks towards the other.

Oda could hear the cracking of branches, the smashing of leaves, someone was approaching. It did not take long for him to realize exactly who it was. The captain of squad nine, one of the few captains baring a very unique reiatsu. "I see you have made it here alright." In a calm tone he spoke to the captain, letting his head return to its forward facing direction, opening his eyes slowly. In no hurry to begin he spoke softly. "So are yo-" His sentence was cut short as the squad nine captain attacked, sending groups of punches, flurries of kicks. Leaping back slightly Oda used the dull edge of his cane to block the simple attacks. A punch from the right, a kick to his left shin, each attack was met with the canes edge, a simple yet effective defense for such an opponent. Oda's Reitsu began to flare slightly as he set his cane to his side, now blocking a kick with his forearm. "Bakudō number 8 Seki (Repulse)" As he spoke the name of this lower ranked bakudo a small blue orb appeared between the ninth squad's captain and Oda's forearm. Upon making contact with the orb it would send a blast of energy out, effective defense. As the Ninth captains leg met the orb a flash of blue could be seen as the energy would blow the captain back severl yards, almost thirty to be exact. "Very nice, I see you have been working on your hand to hand, But what about your sword play?" Spreading his legs equally he held up his cane, the bulk in his right hand, the thin elongated end extending to his left. Soon his reiatsu began to flare pulse violently. The wood of the cane began to peal away as if it were paper, revealing a sealed Zanpau-to. "You see, my zanpaku-to puts out so much energy it had to be sealed twice, the captain commander did it himself." The blade began to glow with a combination of red, yellow, blue, and black colors. With his foot in mid step he vanished, using Shunpo to travel with blinding speed. Unlike most people, who would do something predictable, such as appear behind the enemy and strike, Oda appeared just in front of the ninth squad captain. His glowing blade was cocked back, a single arched strike from Oda's right side. His blocked it would send a jolt of energy from the blade, giving the feeling that he had struck with multiple blades, If it managed to hit, it would cause a large laceration, dealing great damage, but the energy surrounding the blade would seal the wound at the same time. This caused great pain over the entire fight, but would not allow his opponent to bleed out, feeling the strike for eons.

It was expected of the other man known as the Captain of Squad Thirteen to be so effective in close combat. Each and every one of his attacks blocked and defended with such ease. But that Bakudo was an amazing move to use, especially in close-combat. The Captain of Squad Nine stood, showing his calm and serene face as he recovered his footing. "Let's do this." The 9th Squad Captain said as he calmly watched his opponent use a Shunpo. Shinato may have been calm and relaxed, but he was prepared for an attack. Shinato thrust the bottom of his Zanpakuto outwards to slow down, if not block the oncoming attack, while forcing the sheath backwards. "Bakudo #1: Sai (Release)." His opponent Oda, would be stunned and forced to place his hands behind his back. Shinato was not yet finished as he finally placed his foot down onto the ground after countering Oda's attack. Immediately he performed a Shunpo, giving him an advantage over Oda. Shinato reappeared only ten feet away from Oda, pointing his index and middle finger at Oda. "Now You Pay. Hado #4: Byakurai (White Lightning)!" Shinato released a powerful blast of lightning, almost two feet in width towards Oda. As Shinato released his attack, the counter placed wisely by Oda began coursing its way throughout Shinato's body, but he stood firm.

As the ninth squad captain blocked the attack a large force was brought down upon him, making it difficult to stay standing with complete balance. "You handle yourself well in battle." Oda spoke politely as he leaped back, his arms forcibly being brought behind him. "Hmm, effective none the less." As he spoke this his reiatsu flared. his hands moving once more. His glowing zanpaku-to in hand. A flash was seen out of the corner of Oda's eyes, a large gathering of lightning targeting his torso. Cocking his arm back he thrust the tip of his Zanpaku-to into the lightning. The amount of energy throughout his blade kept the lightning at bay, gathering it within the tip until nothing was left. Standing up straight Oda brought his blade across his body to the left, slashing out to his side as if slashing blood from his blade. A small flash could be seen before the ground began to crack and the trees shattered from sheer force given off by his blade. "Now now, please be calm, I dont want anything bad to happen." Oda spoke out, not directing it at the Captain, who could he be talking to? Was the captain insane? Of course there was a logical explanation to everything, the Captain himself had actually spoken out to his Zanpaku-to. She was a blood thirsty blade that loved to show her power. Oda, however, did not want to kill a fellow captain. Tilting his head to the side slightly he faced the captain. "As Of now I am taking things Seriously, please release your blade if you wish to survive." With this statement made Oda brought his right foot forward, his left foot back, and in a staggered stance he charged forward. Once within range he quickly began to thrust his blade forward in a stabbing motion. At first it was one thrust every few seconds. Soon his speed began to increase, reaching the point of blurred movement. It was as if five zanpaku-to were all striking at the same time. It was not impossible to block or avoid, but it would be extremely difficult. Even for an experienced captain.

This fight had already gotten to the point of reminding themselves that they weren't enemies. A fun fight indeed. A grin found itself a home on Shinato's face. Shinato observed Oda's movements and understood what they meant. His blade was hungry and why not be, Shinato did make things interesting in only a few moments. "Finally we can begin." Shinato stood still awaiting an attack from Oda. Oda pressed forward lunging a stab every few seconds and then speeding up to cause much difficulty for Shinato. Shinato bobbed and weaved effortlessly at the beginning but as things got more and more challenging, Shinato taking this situation seriously. Finally seeing an opening, Shinato performed a Shunpo, so fast that it created an afterimage of him. The afterimage being so effective that it continued dodging the attacks. The afterimage dissipated as Shinato reappeared behind Oda. Shinato thrusted his blade upwards aiming directly for Oda's Saketsu and Hakusui. The attack would obviously either kill Oda if he made the wrong decision, injure him gravely or lock up his Reiatsu.

As the grin appeared across Shinato's face Oda shifted his movement, rotating into a back lash. This move was rarely effective, leaving the user open from behind. Shinato began to fade shortly after, a mirror image of his previous form. Within second Shinato was behind Oda, thrusting his blade forward. Oda's Reiatsu flared as the bladded touched his body, stopping at the skin, not pressing forward. "Just like I said before, My body releases so much reiatsu It must be sealed. If My Zanpakuto was still in its second sealed state you would have killed me. But now, you must match the amount of reiatsu surrounding my body if you wish to cut me." Oda spoke the truth, although he felt the force of the blow, it would not damage him greatly. A thin line of blood began to flow from the tip of the blade. Oda leaped forward and turned to face Shinato. "Looks like you almost had it, He said as the very tip of the blade had pierced slightly, nothing fatal. Oda liked what he was seeing, and the battle would only continue to become interesting. Taking a stance, Oda switched to his defensive position.

Shinato placed his hand in his face as he was frustrated that his instant kill strike had failed him. Although damaged, Oda seemed as strong as ever. "Alright then, I guess I can stop joking around." Shinato removed his hand from his face and his eyes began to glow a bright golden. He looked Oda's Zanpakuto and then directly at Oda. His Reiatsu finally flaring as Oda's reiatsu had been throughout the fight. Shinato infused Reiatsu into his left hand and punched the ground. The soil being tossed up into the air around Shinato. Shinato then moved his left hand in an odd motion, creating small pieces of black energy within the air. "Disintegrate, you black dog of Rondanini!! Look upon yourself with horror and then claw out your own throat! Bakudo #9: Geki (Strike)!!!" The incantation roared throughout the battlefield as Oda was captured in a blinding red light, paralyzing him where he stood. Shinato had not yet finished his assault as he began another attack. "Hado #90: Kurohitsugi (Black Coffin)!!" Shinato roared as he began his next attack. Suddenly a powerful torrent of gravity surrounded Oda in the form of a box of black energy, covered with several spear-like protrusions. "Now let's see you get up." Shinato said as he turned his back on Oda, walking away assuming victory.

Deep within the black coffin a soft voice could be heard. "Shunuri, Nazo Soushou. [Paint it red], Twin Enigma" A beam of Reiatsu shot into the air, the black coffin dispelling in several directions before falling to pieces. Oda's eyes were closed shut, his entire body surrounded in a large array of multi colored lights. In his right hand, in place of his Zanpaku-to, he held a single large paint brush, a red handle that exceeded well above and below his grip. "You see, within soul society I am not allowed to expand past my second sealed state...." His energy created a large pressure around him, the trees bending to the point of snapping, their thick trunks no longer able to handle the pressure. Even though he was a captain, Shinato would feel the weight of Oda's Reiatsu, an energy that even the captain commander acknowledged as up to par with his own. "But Here, I am no limited to the sealing of my power." With a single stroke of the brush in his right hand he traced the pattern of a circle, in the clockwise direction. Behind the brush a red line of paint followed, soon the images of paper coming to be. "Sobyou......blast" From within the circle energy began to gather, similar to how a hollow prepares a cero. Within seconds a large tube of pure energy shot forward, its color almost ink like. If it managed to hit it would surely eradicate what ever part of his body was hit. Oda was known to most as the Captain of Squad Thirteen, The Divine Artist. his art literally jumps from the canvas. To the captain commander he is the Head Guardian. The first to battle, and the last to leave. As the blast crashed through remains of trees, leaving nothing behind, Oda began stroking his brush, the paper created beginning to move, bending to his every command.

Shinato stopped as he heard a voice. It was a signal that his opponent wasn't finished. Shinato turned his head to Oda, letting his right eye see Oda. His hair blew with the large gust of wind erupting from where Oda stood. "The guy just won't fall down." Shinato shrugged as he prepared to fight his opponent once again. Shinato placed his right hand out, while carrying his Zanpakuto in hand. "Bakudo #30: Shitotsu Sansen (Beak-Stab Triple Flash). Bakudo #81: Danku(Splitting Void)." An energy barrier in the form of a rectangle appeared. The barrier soon grew to be a wall with a height of 10 feet, standing where Shinato stood. As the wall of energy grew, Shinato formed a golden triangle with his left index finger. Shinato withdrew his left hand touched the golden triangle with the tip of right index finger. The triangle released three powerful beams of light that pierced through the wall of energy. The wall began moving from the force of his Shitotsu Sansen. Shinato performed an above average Shunpo, moving before the blast could even reach him or his moving barrier. Shinato reappeared only ten feet away from Oda, with his barrier chasing right after him. Shinato performed another Shunpo and reappeared to the left of Oda, lunging his Zanpakuto forward in a fast, stabbing motion.

[Judging by your movement im guessing your previous Bakudo where to stop my attack?]
Oda watched as the shinigami performed a number of Kido in order to counter his powerful blast. Of course with two combined kido it was more then enough to end its power rage, but only because of the high rank of the spells conducted. Shinato soon turned his attacks to offensive. Using a wide range of Shunpo in order to get close to Oda, then to throw off his power of perception. In a defensive stance, Oda's reiatsu spanned out of his body, almost giving him a sensory bubble that would alert when things were within range of him. The range of the bubble only went out three feet in every direction, meaning that his reactions would have to be almost instantaneous. It only took a moment for Shinato to come within range, striking at Oda on his left side. Once the tip of Shinato's zanpakuto entered the bubble Oda was in motion, rotating in a clock wise turn. With the tip of his brushed weapon he stabbed at the side of the blade, pushing it off course, just barely missing its mark. The brush made its way down the length of the blade, pushing it further away from Oda, of course in this state, the weapon did no damage itself. The paper that was floating about Oda's being sprang into motion, gathering around them, Forming a barrier of sorts around them, a large dome. "To insure that neither of us attempt to run." The walls of the dome were enforced with Oda's ever expanding Reiatsu. But fighting, while holding this barrier would cause a massive drain on his reserves. Leaping back just before the edge of the paper dome Oda tilted his head to the side. "Lets begin again." Rotating in place Oda vanished, Appearing just above Shinato in a rotating drop kick, but something was different about his pant leg, a single red line, starting at his heel, and leading up to his lower back, where the tip of Oda's brush rested. The red line began to glow as flames engulfed his pant leg. "Sobyou....Flames of desire" The flames turned jet black before blasting down with the demonic kick.
