On my skill level anyways (the shitty level)
Most people in my league and skill level play it casually and like it as a semi-competitive game, but me, I'm like SUPER hardcore about everything and take the game way too seriously as if I were like some sort of 1800 Diamond player.

more than likely. i'm in Diamond 1's but I still play super casual and dislike the hardcore element. to a point where I've completely stopped doing 1's in ladder and will instead only do team ladder, custom maps, or casual 1's with a group of friends.
1's for me is really stressful and it actually takes a lot of effort to win games. so I tend to avoid it and will only do 1's with my other Diamond friends where the environment is more friendly.

Well then color me jealous. I don't necessarily study the game (well okay, sometimes I do), but I play my heart out and I'm still struggling to beat the 60's in Platinum league.

Haha, I am competitive too. I study the game just to see what I've been doing wrong. But lately, I've been having trouble with pesky Mutalisk/Zergling Combo. I've playing against Platinum players lately, so I have good feelings I might be bumped up to Platinum soon.

Wish people on my rank weren't so damn cheap and either try to cannon rush me or mass me with marines or zerglings in like a half a minute.
