Spring 7th, Year 2 Brand new year, brand new diary! I wrote so much in my last one, it completely filled up! I write a lot, you know. Mama says I'm a very expressive writer, so that's why. I wonder why I can't be this expressive in real life? Ahh, it's probably to maintain some sort of balance or something. Hahahah.
As my last journal knows, I made a friend this year! Her name is Zhi. She's cute, I suppose, though I don't really find her that attractive. River likes her a lot though, but River likes everyone. Zhi gets along well with River, too. It's nice, them being friends. I hope they continue to be good friends. River is my favorite person ever, so I'm glad to share her with others.
At New Year's, I went to go see the fireworks with Daniel. A man--I believe he is a reporter or something along those lines--approached Daniel and called him a *****, because he believed us to be a couple. How strange, I find that we look a lot alike. Anyway, we spoke a little and I played with his mouse. I do like rodents, they're sweet, and they remind me of little Bokonon. He called me a cyborg, which obviously isn't true, but he seemed so sure of himself and his grand accusations, I played along. How funny.
It's my last year in school, you know. I wonder what I will do once I've graduated?

Summer 19th, Year 2 It's been a while, Diary! What a nice year it has been so far. School is challenging, but I'll be done with it soon enough. Daniel moved away to live with Papa, so things have been a little quiet around the house. Alex lost horribly at the Cooking Festival, you know, and he's spent even more time at work after that. We don't see him much anymore. That's fine, I guess, he and I never got along, but it feels different. It's pretty much just been me and River. Speaking of which, Zhi came by for a sleepover a while ago. It was fun, even though she was just there for River. I don't know how I didn't notice it before, because now that I know that Zhi's in love with River, it really is obvious! I'm not entirely sure what to think about the whole situation. I guess if River likes Zhi, I'm okay with it, but... I don't think River has even noticed anything. She's like that.

Summer 19th, Year 5 It's spring, which means that the circus is in season again. I missed it, surprisingly! It was kind of boring, spending so much time in the house by myself. River and Alex have both been busy with the restaurant. Maybe now that they have more employees, River can stay home more. I like it when she's home.
Ahh, something interesting happened. Zhi's back in town, and she came to visit right away. She seemed happy. I think it was good for her to go become a pop star. River was there, too. Both looked happy. It made me uncomfortable, but I'm glad to see them so cheerful.
I wonder what will happen with them this year. Zhi did it all for River, afterall.

Summer 15, Year 6 I'm glad winter is over. Kazak was so cold, I felt bad for him. Still, I was happy to be able to knit him clothes like that. On one of our walks, we ran into someone. He was standing in the water in the middle of winter! And it didn't seem to bother him at all! He seemed to like Kazak, so he took us on an "adventure". It wasn't like any of the adventures I had ever been on before, he tried to teach me how to slide across the ice. I kept on slipping, but he helped me stay balanced and didn't laugh at me or get frustrated. I think I like him quite a bit for that. I got embarrassed, though, and went home, it was odd. But I hope to see him again sometime. He seems to like animals, so perhaps he'll come to circus sometime. That would be nice. Everyone should come to the circus.
