So that time of year approaches, the time of giftiness. It might not be close for most people, but for those of us who make holiday gifts, well it's a damn late time to start. sweatdrop Really, I should have started back in July or August, since I have so much to make. Anyhoo, I digress. This year for the D&D crew I'm making dice bags in the shape of D20's. It's so gonna rule. But like I said, I should have started back when I would have gotten them all done, heh. So my question is, do you plan to make anything for Yule this year? If so what and for whom? *is very curious indeed*

One of the options should be "I'd like to but can't"...this is the time of year when I'm preparing for exams...and this year, it's the big exams.

My family fell apart around the holidays, so I still don't much enjoy them. I remember going with my mom to waffle house for Christmas... And I still don't have a job, so I can't afford to buy them anything. I don't know if I'll even be able to afford to go visit.
And I have no clue what to make anyone that they'd use. Scarfs are pointless, it doesn't get cold enough there. Last time I made my mom some knitted thingys that go under the cups (word's slipped my mind). Was thinking maybe place mats, but noone I know sits at the table, so maybe I'll make myself those! blaugh
I don't know. I never look forward to it anymore. I don't know what I want, I don't know what to get others..
Think I might get my mom a candle warmer. She's always afraid she'll forget a lit candle and something bad will happen, and there are candle warmers out there that have an auto off.. No clue about my nephews or sister though. Thinking maybe a makeup set for my sister, she likes doing her makeup.. and go browsing through toys-r-us and toy aisles of other stores to find age appropriate toys for the boys. Maybe buy some shirts for my dad.
But I have no clue what to get my boyfriend. If my dad gives me money (he usually does) maybe I'll get him.. um.. I don't know. Last year I got him games, but he's been backed up on all the games he already has and needs to play. I have no clue. :<

I make socks for most of those I make for. They kind of expect it. They all want Lil' socks (my first name is Lil and they all think its hilarious) I have been wanting to make myself arm warmers this year, but by the time I get done for others I will have missed out again this year.

You should make them anyways when you're done, so they'll be ready to wear when its cold. 3nodding
Neko, I know what you mean. I'm notoriously not fond of the holiday season either, but I do like giving my friends things I've made. It's a small bit of joy in an otherwise bad time of year for me, but it's something and I'm grateful for that much.

So I found out the hard way that the yarn I got for the dice bags this year isn't going to work. >_< It doesn't like to crochet at the gauge I want it at so I fought with it to make one little section, and it turned out funky looking. So I'm gonna have to go with a different yarn. Oh wells, I can use the non working yarn for something knitted, it should be fine for that. heart
