Well, I tried to give this some serious thought once, but wound up[ coming up with this completely crazy and unrealistic scenario.

First, Israel comes to the conclusion that Iran HAS nuclear weapons, not developing them or seeking them, but HAS them. So Israel attacks and CONQUERS Iran, wiping Iran off the map and renaming it Greater Israel. This, of course, causes all the other Middle Eastern countries to counterattack Israel. America, unable to keep its nose out of any kind of war, jumps right in on the Israeli side. Europe, on the other hand, decides Israel is at fault for waging an agressive war of conquest, and joins the Middle Eastern side, as does China, which is worried about the expanding influence of the Western Democracies. China, however, makes a critiocal mistake of attacking the U.S. 7th fleet at is base in Tokyo bay. Japan quickly passes a Constitutional amendment repealing Article 9, and jumps into the War on the American/Israeli side. Japan invades China and takes Hong Kong as well as the most of the Chinese coast along the Sea of Japan, then heads for Bejing. They also invade Siberia, as Russia has joined the rest of Europe in going against Israel. Thus, the stage is set for a long and bloody world war, possibly involving nuclear weapons, that pits America, Israel, and Japan against Europe, China, and the Middle East.

Hey, I said it was crazy and Unrealistic. But it's certainly entertaining, and I suppose its possible it could turn out that way, right?
