Precisely. The guilds have always been a rather ignored feature of the site. There really isn't much we can do about it. Gaia is much more focused on making new features than keeping the old ones working and up to date.

They updated fishing. I even made a thread about it here. Everyone ignored it but that's okay. I don't think any one here fish. *shrugs*
