I don't understand when someone dies the selfish family that comes afterward and ask the wrong questions. Questions like "Are you okay?", "How much life insurance is there?", "When are we going to read the will?", "How much money splits?". I hate it when that happens. Why do people do that I don't understand one bit.

I'm not sure what's wrong with saying "Are you okay?" I think it's a show of concern. I guess it could be annoying. I dunno.
But yeah the other comments are pretty rude. I mean the person just died... and one caring about money... ech, that's disgusting.

Maybe I should stop saying that. Every time I say that, I do feel true concern for someone... But it would be terrible if people really thought I didn't have empathy for them. So how should I say it next time? Like say... "Are you alright?" or "I truly wish to help you. Please tell me what is wrong."

Well in certain cases...like one of my best friends has a Grandmother. She hates him. Tells him every time she sees him that he's the reason his father is dead and slaps him any time he talks back to her. She is a b***h to the whole family to the point where even her own husband is waiting for her to just up and die. So...in cases like that. Being "selfish" or at least asking selfish questions or being generally uncaring wouldnt exactly be unacceptable. Everyone's family isnt as good as yours may be so you cant really assume how another family would react.
