First off! I have NOTHING against Sony Vegas! In fact I love what it is capable of, it's just that I'm to dumb and claustrophobic to use it!
Okay! I decided today to try and use my dads copy of Sony vegas 8...
I mainly needed it for it's ability to cut subs out without losing quality (just some screen) but I also wanted to see if it would be more convenient for making AMV's...
Well, omgwtfbbq would be the best thing to express how I'm feeling right now...
It took me a good 7 hours just to learn how to cut/edit video, take out the original sound and add my own, and publish the video...
Could they have made that any harder to figure out? xd
My first thought when I started using it was "It doesn't seem THAT much different than WMM... OH whats that?"
Thought my comp was going to explode it lagged for so long after I accidentally imported a 3 hour video, lol...
It kinda felt cramped and didn't feel as good to work with as WMM for me. But it also felt that if I can stop watching TV while trying to figure this out, learn about SV and spend a VERY good amount of time practicing then I could do some good stuff with it... although... again, I only needed it so I could cut out the subs without losing quality since I really enjoy WMM anyway and isn't making AMV's about having fun with the programs you like to use?
I guess what I'm going to do from now on is look for raw's and if I can't find any then I'll edit the subs out with SV and make the AMV with WMM since I don't really tend to stuff my clips with effects anyway.
Well, that's pretty much what I think about SV to WMM!
What I wanna know is has anyone else felt anything like this with these two programs, and which of the two do you prefer?
HUGE WALLS OF TEXT FTW lol
The Internet is for AMV!
There are so many ways to express how you love anime this is one of them!
