Now that you have basic control over the link, it is time to refine it. If you remember, we looked at forming 3 threads between yourself and the mirror. you could see the spaces between them when you drew them out.


Refining the Link

Before you were drawing out 3 threads before your face in the mirror. When you are sending it to another being, the threads need to be so tight together that they appear as one. This will take some more concentration and patience on your part. be careful not to cross or wrap the threads around one another. Doing so can disrupt the connection quickly, and possibly cause some backlash. You need to be able to make the connection in a single point, because when you try it on a mind, that is how refined it must be.

Practice this for some time so that you can do it fast. Remember that the faster you can liink, the better your chances of a successful connection. You need to be able to do the link in under a second before going on to the next lesson. Next wednessday, the lesson will involve attempting to actually connect to another being. I will be using a gold fish for my examples, because they are easy to use.
