The only ones I have issues with are Allen's and Kanda's dubbed voices. Kanda's sound WAY to low and old for an 18 year old and Allen's doesn't have that childlike charm he had in the original.

Because the seiyuu is a girl :]
But Allen hasn't hit puberty yet, so it would be understandable if the voice is girly. I mean Sanae Kobayashi can do a better voice of a boy than Justin Bieber himself...

I absolutely do not like the dub.
Kanda my precious Kanda, his voice sounds like Roy Mustang sad (Not offending Roy Mustang do like Roy Mustang) His voice is way to deep for him. Japanese Kanda had some sexy voice xd .

Allen, not same without the cute, kind of girly, voice. It's not the same Allen with a kiddy voice. In english dub, it is no longer bean sprout it is only Shortstack -.-. That's Edward's name!!!!

me too! his voice sounds so high! I like it in eng dub. But kanda's voice is really deep but it does match him. lol

Yeah, I wasn't too happy with Kanda's dub voice either. sad

They actually brought back Beansprout in the dub. Kanda says it during the "Village Where a Witch Lives" arc. biggrin

That is why the english voices are good biggrin other than that the japanese is always better. Though Netflix does not have any anime in Japanese... maybe we should rally or something for it?


The japanese Allen is kind of childish though. When you start with the english, you get a sense of him being childish but with a bit of maturity. This is verses the Japanese in which it sounds like a little kid in a grown up body. Watching him become Crown Clown was so funny because his voice was so adorable biggrin

I think the reason Netflix doesnt have japanese anime cuz they don't have the rights to distribute them. That's just a theory though.

Its strange. Another thing is that funimation is the only american anime company now since genki or whatever was boughtout/brankrupt which is very sad D: we should start a petition for anime in japanese on netflix

I believe Viz is an american company. They're still around.
