Katia watched the other children lining up at the booth, standing with Dimitri and looking rather skeptical. Luka was hanging off of her arm, swinging back and forth and playing with the fake cat tail Katia was wearing.
"I...think I wanna try." Dimitri said, watching the girl behind the table closely. Usually, he avoided girls like the plague; with the exceptions of his sisters, they all seemed to fall madly in love with him. Which was a problem, since girls had great big and gross Cooties. Yuck. But really, there couldn't be any harm in getting the fortune teller to talk to him.
"Then go, if you're going." Said Katia, disdain clear in her voice. "I think it's a crock, but if you want to, go ahead. Simpleton." She crossed her arms. She wasn't at all pleased about having to walk around with Dimitri. Usually, she liked her brother. But usually, he hadn't raided all of her candy stores. Jerk.
Kali sighed behind Katia and nudged her in the head. "Don't doubt magic, Kati. Especially not magic you don't understand." Katia only scowled in response, pulling Luka up and hugging him. The little shadow didn't speak, for once, and was rather busy watching the crystal ball. It was shiny. He wanted one.
Dimitri finally decided to go forward, ignoring Katia's claims that it wouldn't work, and looked up at the girl.
"Could you tell my fortune too, please?"

Painted Moose Holding fast to her Aunt's hand, Deidre passed by the fortune teller without a second look. Only when Lisa stopped to ponder did she notice the blue haired teen and her booth. "Oh wow!" With an excited trot, she approached the table, her golden eyes stuck on the dragon. "I have one," Deirdre pronounced proudly, the flowers hanging on her horn bouncing. "'Cept it's bigger."
"Can you really tell fortunes?" Lisa asked curiously.
"Can you tell mine?" Deirdre chirped, squeezing the life out of her inflatable guitar with her clenched hand. Tarli offered the little girl a grin, reaching a hand up to pet the dragon that laid curled around her shoulders. "Mitzi here could be bigger if she wanted. She just likes snuggles too much." she said, giggling. "That, and she's too lazy to give up being carried around. Brown eyes then looked up at Lisa, smiling. "Of course I can. If I couldn't, I wouldn't be here." she said, chuckling. She then looked back to the younger girl, smiling and nodding. "But of course! Let's see what the crystal ball shows us, shall we?" The young girl pushed her glasses back up the bridge of her nose before peering into the smoky sphere of quartz. "It's a gift all in the same A rose a rose if by another name But nothing is without a price The harbinger will offer thrice Pick wisely and without haste For what you pick decides your fate." The girl looked back up from the orb to the girl, offering a smile. "You're a smart girl; I'm sure you'll pick wisely." she said, nodding once. Prompt Tis the Halloween season, a time of tricks and treat, sometimes both. Dear Dierdre has found herself confronted by an odd person who is offering her an assortment of goodies and surprises. But, each one has a price, and it's not money. Does she pick one who's benefits outweigh the risks, or does avarice cloud her judgment and she finds herself stuck with a trick in place of her treat? Remember, the prettiest of gifts is not always the best.

lux AE T E R N A__x x At Echo's age, an adult still had to follow him around at parties, but that didn't stop the little nix from having the time of his life. In fact, at times, it seemed to help him with certain things that he couldn't do all by himself. Like having a car to drive him and Ellery both to the little Halloween get-together that night.
The nix was holding onto Matthew's fingertip as the three of them approached the table, Echo in the lead. His half-masked face reflected in the orb that sat on the table as he peered up at it with wide turquoise eyes. From there, he looked to the sign, and then to the female, and finally back to Matthew. "Mattoo, what's this?"
Ellery scoffed from behind his devil-red face paint and gestured at the sign with his plastic trident. "Wull, dat's obvious, silly Echo. It's, uh... It's, uh, it's..."
"It's a fortune-teller, Echo," Matthew interrupted gently, a smile on his face. "You'll learn something about your future if you ask her a question. Do you want to try it, you guys?"
Ellery's eyes lit up immediately, and he rushed up to gaze at the woman. "Yeah, yeah! Tell my futures, peese, peese!"
A bit more meekly that Ellery, Echo further approached the booth, wiggling nervously just a bit beneath his dark cloak. "Um, mine, too, please. If you have the time'n'stuff." The girl giggled at the kids' enthusiasm. This was why she liked younger kids; they never held themselves back. They were always so open with their emotions! And they never doubted her. "Well, I'll see what I can do, okay?" she said, pulling a small bag from her pocket. She closed her eyes, drawing two stones from the bag. Each stone had a small symbol carved into it, seperating it from the others. "Let's see....what do you have to say about Echo?" the blue-haired witch murmured, holding one of the stones closer for inspection. "Ah, hear it is!" The girl cleared her throat before continuing. "Lively tunes weave through the air But around water, take extra care Be it ocean or ditch or simply a puddle Bodies of water can cause your mind fuddle But all shall work out in the end No need to threat nor worry for friend. I hope. " Oh dear, that came out more worrisome than she'd intended. Whoops. She lifted the other stone, offering the faun a small smile. "Let's see what the stone says about you, shall we, Ellery?" she said, chuckling and peering at the carving. "The ground does shake And the earth does quake At your beck and call But underneath all Lies the hidden maze There may you wander for days and days And there, in the earth, deep below May you find treasure, sparkling a'glow Or perhaps instead You'll just bonk your head And go home in sore woe" She chuckled. "My, you two have quite a lot ahead of you!" she said, looking amused. Prompt: Echo Well, it was bound to happen eventually. Echo has gotten a hold of an instrument near a body of water. Good news; he's a natural at playing it. Bad news? Well, a nix will do what a nix will do...get your snorkle mask! So, how did Echo get a hold of an instrument and how does the incident play out? Prompt: Ellery Well, someone's gone and done it. Ellery shook the ground beneath him so hard it broke! The poor little faun falls through, and finds himself in an underground labyrinth! What does he do and find down there? Does he find a way out on his own, or is he rescued? Is he alone.....or does he have company down there?

Thaliawen Thali was asked very very very nicely. So you're getting--half my kids, fortune teller.Fortune telling? Howl didn't approve of such things. It usually was a mockery of true seers; not to mention magic users in general. The wizard himself did not part-take in such things. They were under him. Certainly he could read the stars as well as the next magician, he had a fire demon to tell him what they said. He dragged an even more reluctant Loki behind him; who in turn was carrying a squirming Leyla. "Howl, I don't think we should--" Loki began. "Miles will get offended and--" Miles was Loki's teenage brother. An oracle, the teenager was a safer bet when wishing to know the future; though he had lately begun to refuse to reveal people's futures, saying he would rather watch fate play out. It wasn't the brightest idea to upset an oracle; who knew what they could do to influence fate? "You aren't supposed to try predicting the future. It ruins the surprise!" Leyla protested, trying to squirm from her older brother's hold. "Miles says--" Howl rolled his eyes. "Miles also says there's no such thing as happily ever after." The wizard sat in the chair at the table, giving Tarli his usual smirk. "Tell my future then. Can you see something I cannot?" "Could you tell mine too?" Loki asked. Unlike Howl, he had no doubt whatsoever. Having an oracle for a brother did that to you. "Me too!" Leyla said, waving at Tarli. "I want to know my fortune too." Tarli smiled, even though she could sense the others' doubts. At least the male fae believed? "Of course I can tell your futures, even if some of you deem that a mockery." Brown eyes glanced at Howl with a small, knowing smile. "Let's see, what does my crystal ball have to say about you three? Hmm.... Howl, Leyla, and Loki. Such lovely names, but a trivial fact." The girl gave the orb a small tap, as if trying to get it to behave. "Better." she said, focusing in. "Let's see... For Howl... Be careful on your travels, and do refrain From hanging around those who nom on brains Do not engage nor fight But simply run and take flight If you can, but if you cannot Take the offense without second thought." The girl then looked to Loki, smiling. "Candy corn and pumpkin seeds Spider webs and spiced meads This Halloweve holds a treat Something I'm sure you'll find quite neat A wild seasonal beast you'll find And to your will it will bind A new furry friend by your side To guide you through the wayside." Then, the girl's gaze fell to the smallest of the three. She offered a small smile. "I see a shining silver blade Never to waver nor to fade Slicing through the autumn air Of its own accord and flair Going out, for you, to find Something that would please your mind Sorting through the texts of ages Finding the select pages" Prompt: Howl On a nice, October evening, Howl comes across a zombie! Well, it looks like a zombie. Whether it actually is a zombie or not is still in question. But, regardless of undead status, how does Howl react? Does he fight or does he take flight? Does he get anything out of the encounter, like candy, or does he go home empty handed? Prompt: Loki Loki has found a gruesome looking monster hiding in his closet! But, instead of mauling him and tearing him to pieces like a bad B-movie.....it likes him? Whether Loki likes the monstrosity or not is not of any importance; the creeper likes him and is following the fae around like a puppy. How does Loki handle this? Promp: Leyla Leyla's sword has summoned itself and is being quite a nuisance! It keeps stealing things, especially books, and bringing them to Leyla, whether she wants them or not. Why is the sword behaving like this and how does Leyla reign in control of it once more? Or does the sword continue to move about of its own accord?

Liesel probably wouldn't even have noticed the fortune teller's table, except that she had been immersing herself in fairy tales lately and that made it hard to miss the woman with the crystal ball. The tiny girl approached cautiously, her eyes wide, one tiny hand grasping Crunch's shadowy paw.
"Excuse me," Liesel began in a shy sort of voice. "Could you tell me my fortune please?"
"Hunch-ch-ch" Crunch wagged his tail, setting the plastic unicorn horn tied to his head to wobbling. He, too, seemed interested in learning his fortune.

Meliora was certainly a shy little thing. Her father was busy making idle conversation while her mother... actually, was doing the same thing for the most part. Between the two of them, the little centaur girl stood with her bright orange eyes gazing widely at the fortune telling booth from behind the strands of blues, pinks, and purples that hung from the poofy blue hat atop her head. Softly, her wings fluttered before settling once again and, looking to either side as though she was crossing the street, she finally started toward the booth.
Of course, it was only her luck that another girl soon stepped in front of her. Scrambling pitifully on the marble floor, setting her hooves to clattering loudly as they were prone to do, she almost fell in her hurry to back up and stay well out of the way, a fiery blush taking up her entire face. She stayed there, waiting for the woman to be finished with the other girl's fortune, as well as the... creature that she had with her. After all, it would be so rude to just- just push her way up!!
After that business was all finished, she looked about again before finally approaching the woman, smiling softly as she tapped her hoof nervously on the ground. "H-hello there, Miss. Y-you have a very cute dragon there, a-a-and I really like your costume," she started sweetly, wanting to treat the woman more like a person than a snack machine. "I- I was just wondering i-if, maybe, you wouldn't m-mind telling my fortune... pl-please!" she added hastily to the end. After all, she didn't want to seem rude!!

xInsane_Night_Skittlesx Regina glanced over the fortune telling table with mild disdain from behind her rather elaborate masquerade mask. Despite claiming she shouldn't have to deal with such things, Ary had forced her into a well made and incredibly beautiful ball gown. And then ruined it by giving her a slight undead look as if she had, obviously, been killed at a party. "Fortune telling? Really?" Regina scoffed, not only disbelieving it but finding it to look more like a sham than anything else. At least the person doing them wasn't dressed as an insanely fake gypsy woman or something... "Looks legit. Reggie, sit," Ary commanded, glancing over the table curiously. Regina glared at Ary, wishing her a most painful and drawn out death in her dagger-shooting eyes. "Fine mother." And with that, the snobby girl delicately sat down into the chair, an irritated look hidden by her mask thankfully. "And when you finish with her, perhaps you can look into mine? And Reggie, you do that and I'll ground you for a week," Ary continued, resting her hands on the back of Regina's chair, her crystal-blue eyes glowing ever so softly as she gazed at the "fortune teller". "Someone's awfully grouchy, aren't they." Tarli mused, chuckling at Regina. "And yes, fortune telling. One shouldn't be so skeptical." To be honest, the girl of blue hair looked rather amused with the the girl infront of her. She then looked up to Ary, offering a more sincere, less amused smile. "But of course." she said, smiling. She liked this one; she wasn't as uptight as the prissy one was, and that was much appreciated. Mitzi curled around Tarli's shoulders, eyes narrowed at the rude one. A small lick of flames escaped from the little dragon's mouth, but the growl was cut short by the fortune teller's hand tapping her scaled head. A small disapproving sound came from the little reptile before it lowered it's head, pouting. "Mitzi, we don't growl at people. Especially children." Tarli chided, ignoring the fact that she herself barely looked twelve. She looked back to Regina, meeting the girl's glower with a smile. "Let's see what's in store for you, your majesty." Oh yes, that last part was dripping in sugar-coated sarcasm. It wasn't meant as malicious, however; it was purely in jest. Brown eyes focused in on the crystal orb, glazing over as she watched intently. "Queen of snow and icy disposition Put into a comical juxtaposition A meeting of frost and flame A conversation far from tame May either open the doors to a new comrade Or may end in a situation oh-so very bad Tread lightly with the utmost care And try to be polite. Or not, if you dare."
The girl didn't even look up as she continued on to Ary's fortune, to focused on the images she saw within the quartz sphere. "A love unrequited can fester into something more Something much darker and less caring than before Someone's been watching from beyond your sight Someone who lurks in the furthest reaches of the night What once was affection has morphed into obsession An ache and desire for total possession But I hold faith that you can hold your own And that they will find their way to atone." Prompt: Regina Regina has met someone of nobilty with powers over heat and flame and a volatile personality. And guess who doesn't have the upper hand for once. How does she handle the fact that she isn't in charge for once? Does she make a new friend, or are the two destined to clash? What happens and is there any collateral damage? Prompt: Arytiss Someone's gained herself a stalker. A creepy, obsessed, I'm-going-to-capture-you-and-tie-you-up-in-my-basement kind of stalker. And said-stalker has decided to make his move during the Halloween season, when the other creeps and spooks take to the night. Where in Gaia did she pick up such a creepy follower and how does she handle the situaton?
