This Asylum seemed very...chaotic. Since his arrival Zhu had felt...lost. The random wandering. The lack of order and control. Just being able to leave his room when he wanted and do what he wanted? Zhu was so used to the strict and rigid rules of the scientists from his second home. He had to keep telling himself that this was an asylum, not a science lab. Not that this seemed to be the general consensus. Supposedly all the inmates here were fodder for the doctors. But he had not seen a single one yet. He had not been looked over or examined. He actually felt a little depressed about that. He missed the organized structure and routines. As nice as it was experiencing freedom, he would have liked to have some expectations.
Or at least an exercise room would have been nice. Then he could have continued his regiment of physical refinement. Zhu snapped his tail unhappily from one side to the other. The flickers of flame upon the tip cast it's light down the hallway as he walked, allowing him to see in the areas where there were no lights. Well, at least he'd never have to worry about being surprised he guessed? Zhu stopped at a cross-ways and placed his hands upon his hips. "这是不能接受的." (This is unacceptable.) he muttered to himself as he glared down the hall. He had no assigned room. How was anyone supposed to find him this way? And where was the kitchen? He could not see any clear markings. Maybe he had missed them? With a small grumble Zhu headed towards what seemed to be the neatest and cleanest part of the Asylum. This had a more comfortable feel to it after all. Perhaps he'd find someone he could question?

When someone enters the walls of the Asylum it seems like time just seems to blend to a stand still. Hours, Dates, Days, Months, most of the time it just didn't matter anymore, at least, that is, unless someone had something to look forward to. In this case it would most likely just be birthdays and holidays, but for someone like Jazz none of them really mattered. The only reason the male even kept track of dates was because his job required him to do so. He had to keep track of those moving in and out, keep track of when food, items and medications where to arrive, and, of course, keep track of those whom just seem to 'vanish'. He knew better though. He knew what 'vanishing' really meant, and the thought just made his stomach flip with nausea. With a few more steps the blue violet haired male made his way from the stairwell and out in to the hallway of the main level of the Asylum where all the patients were kept. That is unless they were brave enough to venture of other areas where they were mostly restricted from entering. Jazz stuffed his hands in to his pockets, his matching eyes scanning his surrounding. Such a place in which he always felt a mix of love and pure hatred, but anything was better than the life he had before he broke in to this place. If he hadn't run off and sneak in here...what would have happened to him? Where would he be now?

Zhu suspected that the peace he had been living in lately was due to his appearance. He had undeniably seen strange looking people here. None of them compared to himself in his mind thus far. He believed that he had merely not crossed the paths of his equally strange looking patients yet. He did not believe he was the strangest of strange here. Considering what whispers he had heard of this place, he was not the only failed experiment sent here. He could not be. To think that would have been awkwardly arrogant, right?
Zhu lightly pushed the hood on his head back, so he could peer more clearly through the fall of brilliant crimson and white hair falling over his forehead. This was just frustrating! He needed something to focus on! Something to apply himself to! Without a goal he may as well just sleep the rest of his life away! The sound of footsteps helped give Zhu something to focus upon in his minor agitation. There! At least the presence of another could distract him?
Jazz's entrance was uplifting, to say the least. Zhu noted the pause in the 'girls' steps, and he took that moment to hurry his way towards her. "您! 夫人 Jazz! " (You! Lady Jazz!) Zhu called out as he lifted one black and gold spotted hand to wave. Another experiment would have distracted him sure, but Jazz was one of the staff members. Jazz could give him answers he could not receive from any other. The flames upon Zhu's tail flickered pathetically from the wind created by his hurried step and the flap of his long coat. However, despite the appearance that the flames were about to die, they clung stubbornly to life.

The questions and thoughts that ran through his head was enough to make his mood drop as his stomach flipped and turned with pure hatred, sickness, and undeniable fear. While Jazz wasn't someone who enjoyed having a pity party for himself or live in the past, his memories and views was something that always seemed to cling to him in one way or another. He knew no matter what one could not run from their past, the thing that helped make them what they are today.
However, he could always curse those he claimed to be blind to the truth, or just didn't care what happened. None of them ever understood his hatred. They were the ones whom fell for the tricks of the mask his family put up, the ones who could not see past the lies, and if they did, well they just didn't give a s**t about it. Well, that or they were too scared to do anything about it.
It didn't matter though. He was just lucky enough to escape while he could and come upon this place. Or maybe it was unlucky. Of all places why an Asylum? He supposed he could say he was lucky to find the place and not die, but... Well no matter, that thought could not be finish thanks to the voice breaking his train of thought.
'Lady Jazz?' Was there someone around with his name that he didn't know about?
Looking around, Jazz peered down the hall, the familiar flick of a flame, and the amusing sight of a dragon like male running towards him, giving him an idea of who was calling him.
With an amused roll of his eyes, the purple haired male sighed and gave a wave back while he waited for the other male. "Nice to see you have survived your first days around here, but did you get hit on the head or something? What's with you yelling out and calling me 'Lady Jazz'?"

It was with a sense of satisfaction that Zhu approached Jazz. Having the other not wave him away, or outright ignore him was something he was not entirely prepared to handle. Actually that was a odd thought. It ticked through Zhu's mind in the final seconds before he was within polite conversation distance.
Was he perhaps spoiled? He was used to a certain level of attention and study. He had come to accept, as part of his daily life, that someone would always be watching him. Nothing he did ever went un-noticed. For him to expect someone to take notice of him immediately upon entering a area...was that a sense of arrogance he had? If it was, it would explain why he felt so unhappy with his current placement. Gods. Zhu wondered if perhaps he was even vain now?
It was good that he had Jazz present to distract him from his clearly self absorbed thoughts. There would be nothing productive about wallowing in self pity! "當然我生存了。 有沒有我不會的原因?" (Of course I have survived. Is there a reason I would not?) Zhu asked Jazz with a blink of his inhuman green eyes. He reached a hand up and tugged on the hood of his coat, so as to pull it a little further over his forehead. Not that it could actually move..with his horns piercing through the fabric the hood was pretty much secured exactly where it was.
"我未被攻擊。 我為提高我的聲音道歉。 我僅僅希望受到您的注意."(I have not been assaulted. I apologize for raising my voice. I merely wished to catch your attention.) He quickly explained. Actually, despite how much fun he had speaking to others with the knowledge they could not understand him, there was a degree of joy to be found in finding one who really did know what he was saying. Zhu's lips pulled upwards a small degree into a faint smile.
"我僅僅是恭敬的。 我希望請求您有些事。 我不熟悉這種設施,并且想知道我是否可能獲得排序地圖? 我想知道,飯食這裡被執行? 未餵養我,并且我在我的屋子裡已經吃了所有可燃燒物"(I am merely being respectful. I wish to ask you some things. I am not familiar with this facility and was wondering if I could obtain a map of sorts? I was wondering as well, are meals administered here? I have not been fed and I've eaten all the combustibles in my room already.)

He would have thought it would be kind of obvious why he would question Zhu's safety within a place like the Asylum, but he could only guess the other guy had yet to come across the deeper shadows that lurked within the place. While patient on patient aggression didn't seem to be a problem at the moment, and the doctors had yet to harvest those "worthy" or experimentation, that still didn't stop the echoing shrieks and screams that exploded through the halls at night.
Some say the screams are the sounds of patients that resided in the catacombs, those were are being experimented on and those whom have yet to meet their maker. Others say the sounds are the calls of the spirits of the family that once called the building their home.
Either way, it wasn’t a good things.
“There are reasons I worry and wonder, but until you find them out for yourself, then I suppose it doesn’t matter since you are well at the moment. I would just suggest staying on your toes while you can.”
While he could? It would be more along the lines of 24/7. Jazz didn’t know why he seemed to care for the guy at all. Maybe it was because he amused him, or maybe it was because he reminded him of an old friend. Either way, he supposed being able to befriend a staff member was a good thing for the other guy.
Blinking at Zhu’s statement, Jazz raised a brow at the male. “Respect?” How was calling a guy a ‘Lady’ any means of respect? Maybe it was come kind of old old tradition he didn’t know about. There were weirder traditions out in the world.
“A map? There aren’t any maps to this place, unless you are one of the Doctors anyway. Staff have access to it, but we aren’t allowed to carry it around on us. Your best bet is to draw your own map as you find things, but I guess if you need help finding something then I can show you around.”
He snorted a bit at the mention of food.
“Yeah, there is a cafeteria around here, but I would steer clear of it until our real chefs come along, but food is food, so there is no complaining when people starve. If you are really that hungry…”
Shuffling through his pockets he pulled out a bar of chocolate. Being staff, Jazz had access to all sort of more ‘edible’ and ‘normal’ food and didn’t have reason to hang around the cafeteria.

Zhu tilted his head a little to the left and ran a finger over the curve of his shirt collar. "您担心我们?" (You worry about us?) Zhu found himself asking Jazz with a clear note of surprise. Since when did the staff worry about the ones who were kept? It was a curious thing to hear for sure! Perhaps Lady Jazz was simply one of the more compassionate staff members. Zhu knew that there were some who were like that, after all, he had seen the inside of two different types of facilities.
"只要是必要的,我将很好停留为。 " (I will stay well for as long as is necessary.) Zhu promised Jazz rather solemnly, one of his four fingered hands lifted and placed itself over his rib cage in a gesture of seriousness. Zhu's hand dropped a moment later, and he could not hide the faintly disappointed expression that pulled his features downwards. "我是好奇的。 为什么是在这个状态留下的我们?" (I am curious. Why are we left in this state?) Zhu glanced up and down the hall that he and Jazz stood within. His green eyes blinked as he tried to peer into the long stretches as far as he could. "我不看卫兵在大厅里面,但是我暗中了侦察他们外面。 我们允许漫步,我们渴望,那里似乎是没有集合日程表为饭食或微睡。 我不可能任何地方确定任何集合顺序这里。 没有日程表。 我将由医生何时看见? " (I see no guards inside the halls, but I have spied them outside. We are allowed to wander as we desire, there seems to be no set schedule for meals or slumber. I can not determine any set order anywhere here. There is no schedule. When will I be seen by a doctor?)
Zhu's tail twitched a little, the flames flickering on the tip brightened for just a moment before dimming back to the normal low light glow. "我会是非常有鉴赏力的,如果您可能显示我哪里自助食堂。 有没有体操? 我希望继续我的物理惯例。 我不想要通过成为后辜负科学家慢或微弱由于不活泼。" (I would be very appreciative if you could show me where the cafeteria is. Would there be a gym as well? I wish to continue my physical routines. I do not want to disappoint the scientists later by becoming slow or weak due to inactivity.) His eyes brightened a little as he looked upon Jazz and a idea occurred to him. "爵士乐! 您以前提及了您处理了我的日常文书工作。 您可能告诉我? 或许什么它是做我的那失败? 如果我知道什么我的失败是,我可能试图解决问题! 然后我没再会是失败! " (Jazz! You mentioned before that you handled my paper work. Could you tell me? Perhaps what it was that made me a failure? If I knew what my failing was, I could attempt to fix the problem! Then I would not be a failure anymore!) There mere idea filled Zhu with a hopeful light, which seemed to become reflected in the brightness of the flames flickering over his tail.
His attention was quickly diverted from the excited notion of overcoming his 'failure' to the presence of the chocolate bar. Zhu's forked tongue darted out of his mouth in three quick darts. His green eyes widened and his lips curled upwards in a sigh of great eagerness. "那巧克力? 噢. 我未食用巧克力从我的第十一个生日。 我可以也是有本文? 请喜欢? " (Is that chocolate? Oh. I have not had chocolate since my eleventh birthday. May I have the paper too? Please please?)
