『"Welcome To Ethon! Please keep all women, children, and valuables at your side at ALL times." 』 Memento Mori A string of violent murders and disappearances have been making the citizens - and the mob - slightly uneasy. Families are disappearing, children are being found decapitated, and even the mob is losing comrades. Victims are turning up everywhere; from the docks to Downtown, from rich to poor, the killers do not discriminate.
At the scene of the crime they only leave one thing; a piece of stone with the words "Memento Mori" engraved into it.
"Remember your humanity."

Xenia sat on the docks, staring at the dark sea sullenly. Her knees were drawn up to her chest and she was resting her chin on them. Her tail rested coiled around her legs and her wings were folded against her back. She sighed. Passing sailors and pirates glanced at her knowingly; the mob boss was often sulking on the docks when she was skipping work...and that was pretty much daily. She rubbed her lone gray eye boredly.
Stupid Xenos...
She thought angrily. The demon stood up and brushed flecks of dirt off of her clothes as she began to walk to and through the slums, her wire thin tail flicking lazily behind her. The thieves that often crowded the thin dirty walk ways scattered and disappeared as they caught sight of her.

Terran wondered momentarily down a path only he saw... or was the world just blind to it.. no matter. Terran took off his overcoat and dropped it on the ground after going under a bridge that made a dark tunnle. As he past under it he noticed the walls covered in the art of many a thug or bored pedestrian. Solemly he took a few more steps when one picture on the wall caught his eye.. or was it his eye? Who ever it was he shuffled to it. it made a glorious pattern on the wall, different shapes and... and... Terran realized after shifting through his maddness that it was blood. Oh lovely. Terrans gaze whent to the extreme left where body lay slumped against the wall, its throat was slit. He crouched by it and said " when throats of thoughs in over throw the past wil at last come..." Terran sighed noticed a slab with writing on it, " As it is written... damn it...." He said befor getting up and started to head out the tunnle.

You can never be as free as I am, because I am free from fear. -Vincent Sinn
Vincent glanced lovingly at the sea as he walked down the dock and into the slums. This city had felt the tread of his feet before, but not in a long time. A man Vincent's trained eye identified as a pickpocket nearly bumped into Vincent, an old trick, but he felt the air of the life-long pirate and backed away. Vincent whistled to himself old pirate tunes as tried to remember the location of his favorite inn.

Xenia stopped dead in her tracks in the middle of the narrow walk away. The girl had propped a hand against her chin and her brow was furrowed in thought. The thieves who drifted just out of sight in the shadows continued to eye the girl uneasily, as if she were a ticking time bomb. Now what was she supposed to do? Home was unappealing, and the Graveyard district had become boring. None of her friends were on hand to bother as well - which was fine with her. She could still remember the beating Faolan had delivered the last time she had startled him.
She glanced around behind her, her gaze landing on Vincent. Her lone eye blinked owlishly. The man looked unfamiliar. Maybe she could bother him? Her frown curled into a cheerful smile.
"'Ello! Are ya lost?"
She called boisterously.
(( Bleeeh! This isn't such a great post. Been awhile since I've used Xenia. ))

"Not in the slightest! I've never been closer to home." Vincent said, looking at the woman. "I've seen nothing but humans for too long." He spotted the inn not far. "I'm grabbin' a room for the night, till I can find a crew."
((Not at my house, post style will have to wait.))

"You might have a hard time with that whole crew thing..."
Xenia began as she studied the stranger. He wasn't much taller than herself, but he was obviously older. The girl adjusted her eye patch and grinned.
"That old crotchety captain whisked away most of our able bodied sailors last week. All we have left are monsters, mages, and thieves."
She said lazily as she leaned back on her heels.

You can never be as free as I am, because I am free from fear. -Vincent Sinn
"I'd almost forgotten how old fashion it is here." He said, more to himself. But he smiled. "Monsters and mages may not be the best, but thieves? I don't think that's a problem." He may have been forgotten around these parts, but he was a well known pirate, despite never being caught or convicted. One isn't a pirate their whole life without knowing how to get away with crime. Now, he was very open about his rather... frowned upon... occupation.

Xenia laughed. She found the thieves complete idiots- they took after their boss after all. The so called 'king-of-thieves' was an egotistical, cowardly, and selfish man Caesar who ruled his underlings with an iron fist. Most of the thieves reported to him directly and in return received (stolen) rations from the man. Food was rare in the slums so naturally many locals flocked to him. "Our thieves ain't worth much. Bunch of mumpers, can't even snatch a wallet the right way..."
She hummed. The thieves who lurked just out of her line of sight muttered angrily amongst themselves. The girl froze suddenly and rubbed her chin with a sheepish grin.
"Oh man! I've been going on and on, and I haven't even introduced myself!"
She said offering a bandaged hand for a handshake.
"They call me Xenia."

(( geez i finally try to get on more and the internet stop working... it starts working then i get grounded.... then i get un grounded and i get fallout new vegas XD srry, nice change xenia))
Terran mumbled somthing about a two headed bear and wondered to and fro to a place unknown. Really he was in the Theives section, The smell of stolen wallets and back alley buisness confronted his steps. He poped his fingers and made his way to the middle of what seem to be a heavy trafic area for on the go travlers... and shady characters.
" Impossible odds lead me to a improbable place, section off to--"
Terran felt a hand in places it shouldnt and abruptly turned around to see a petty theif in rags scamper away with a bewildered look upon his face. Terran fasted walked after him for he was in no hurry to get him though after the theif jumped and climbed and avoided Terran soon grew tired and let the boy win. He surveyed his surroundings and saw he was near a inn. OH! and Human follwed.. Talking to a strangered it seemed. Terran didnt approach just yet he felt compelled to wait in shadowed and see what happens.
