However, I am not ready to divorce myself from my compassion just yet. I will find the balance somehow, the means to save my country and her people.
That is the king I wish to become, and so that is the man I must be." "Ha, you seem rather sure of yourself!" It wasn't like she had no reason to be--she had defeated him many times! "Good, that'll only make it better to see when you lose. Though... I suppose losing to you isn't so bad, either." Seeing her act all confident, smug, and satisfied--well, he couldn't pretend it wasn't enjoyable as well, in a way. Sometimes she went overboard with rubbing her victory in, but... well, ever since they got together romantically, he didn't really mind that anymore! Though he wouldn't have much more time to think about that, before he was suddenly taken down into the snow. Quite the maneuver, when he could have just sidestepped the attack! "Guh..." He let out in response to finding his back on the ground, with the very familiar feeling of his pointy-eared lover atop him. Though he was quick to realize her intentions may not have been so innocent... but then, when were they ever? He would have to be a fool not to expect that! Still, there wass little he could do to prevent what was coming--not that he would want to. Feeling Alisa's lips and body against his own, well, was there any better feeling in this world? He was all-too happy to return the rather passionate kiss, one of his arms finding its way around her as naturally as he breathed. You certainly enjoy your surprises, don't you? Being with you is certainly never boring... He paused a moment after her last words, and she'd feel rather suddenly... both his thumbs and indexes against her ears, caressing them rather fondly, and firmly! Oh? What did you have in mind...? He returned back to her, his coy tone hardly fitting the actions of his hands. He obviously knew exactly what she was getting at, and had no qualms about it! (( OOC: ))

Zack said, finally starting to peak his head out from behind his cover, when suddenly something popped out of it! "Gaahh?!?" He let out, stumbling backwards a bit."I haven't studied snow closely in a while... Staying buried in it for an extended period of time can cause the body to slow down. I bet I could use this in my magic..." The wolf-eared girl who popped her head out said, grabbing a handful of the snow around her and holding it up to her eye, investigating it."...Was that really necessary?! How long were you in there?! You nearly scared me back into an early grave!""I missed the part where that's my problem." Carmen said, not even bothering to give the SOLDIER a glance. Little did he know that the mound he was hiding behind was actually Carmen the whole time! "Ice is more immediately chilling, but snow has the capability to stick to targets longer. Hmm... I wonder if I could combine the two..." As she climbed out of the snow, her tail was clearly wagging in response to the excitement of trying new experiments and creating new spells. "As if I needed to be any stronger, heh... but my arsenal must be expanded.""...A wolf girl who enjoys the cold, huh? She seems like just my type..." Kaden muttered to himself, quietly enough so that no one else could hear him....Or so he thought, but the wolf ears atop her head twitched, followed by her eye. "Yes, well, you're not my type, I'm afraid." She said, waving her wrist in Kaden's general direction, and sending him flying back suddenly!"AAAAAAAAAaaaaaa......!" Was all anyone would hear from him, getting progressively less loud the further he was flung away."Autumn, dear, do try not to pick fights you can't win. Have you learned nothing from Ephraim?" Carmen said to her daughter as she seemed to gain a new problem as easily as most people breathed. "Ignore her, other new dragon girl. She's terribly stupid." She patted Autumn affectionately on the head as she walked by, walking towards Alear. "You have a lot of hair, don't you. Is there any practical reason for that? It's not unnatural for Serenitians to have a lot of hair, but most warriors find it to be rather cumbersome. You use a sword--wouldn't all this get in the way? Easy to be grabbed, don't you think?" The first thing Carmen ever did when meeting someone new was analyze their weaknesses. Alear should count herself among the lucky ones, because she was telling her the weaknesses she saw instead of keeping them to herself just in case. (( OOC: ))

Corrin's playful smile only grew. "We'll see about that! Don't worry, I'll go easy on you! " Her smiling face turned into a grin, as she was about to wrap her arms around him when....the sudden danger of the flying snowball was on it's collision course for her precious king! No way would she let anyone gain the satisfaction of a strike! Reacting rather instantly, as if it were some kind of stray bullet, Corrin leaped forward, shoving him onto his back, and into the snow! She had forgotten just how DEEP that snow was, and it seemed to swallow the two of them up, as they were safe and hidden within the cold snow. If those around were paying any attention, they might hear the amused giggling coming from inside the snow. For a short time, at least while this snow lasted, Corrin was certainly going to enjoy it.
"...What do you think they are doing? " Aerith, who peeked her head out from the mound of snow they were both hiding behind, looking rather confused. "They have been under the snow a while..Maybe they are digging a tunnel, coming at us from within the snow?? " If they were good tunnel diggers from within the snow, maybe such a thing was possible? "I was waiting for them to come back up, too! " She already had a rather large snowball formed, intended for both Ephraim and Alisa! Aerith was mighty dangerous today!
Until the snow yeti popped her head out suddenly, and gave the two of them small heart attacks! The snowball in her hand went flying as she fell back into the snow, only to come right back down and.......plop right over Carmen's head as she was attempting in inspect her own little gathered snow. "Oh..! " Well, that was one way to get rid of her giant snowball! "Hehe..!" She managed to get herself back up properly, leaning forward and...lightly brushing off the access snow from Carmen's head, and furry little ears. "You look so cute with all this snow covering your cute ears! " Of course, she didn't know of the unique weakness Serenitians had with their ears!
"H-Hey..!??! I am NOT stupid! " Autumn wasn't really winning any cases here, she had little defense to deny that was true! ".....??" Alear could not be anymore confused, though she was quick to put her weapon away. Ever sense coming into this world, her guard was turned way up, despite being a kind person, it wasn't like her to show her weapon at such a small thing. When the woman with animal-like features began to approach her, Alear's attention seemed to quickly find its way to her furry wolf ears, and tail. She had never seen anyone with animal ears before, or a tail for that matter! Rather then questioning her about them, though, she would find herself surprised by the strange questions she had for her. "...My hair..? I, I have never had any difficulties in battle before due to it." She blinked, the question marks may as well appear over her head at this point. What a strange first thing to mention! "..I haven't spoken to you before, how did you know who I was? " A little different from how she was used to being addressed, but still a dragon non the less. A woman who couldn't turn into a dragon...it was still a little strange to refer to herself as such, with no abilities to actually turn into one.

Aerith Gast Gainsborough   Alisa's face beamed, as her left hand rested at her hip. "You know I am, and I don't intend to lose." A grin returned to her ever so confidant face."I plan to---oh!" And that was the moment she would make her daring rescue, diving after Ephraim with a leap, and causing them to both become burred in the snow! As everything seemed to fall so well into place, it was almost as if she were planning for this to happen. Of course, she wasn't. Alisa was just ready for anything! Even more so when it could end like this. With her lips quickly finding his, in their little snowy extra thick blanket, no one was going to be seeing them for a few moments. At least, until they had to come out to warm up! For now, a little freezing was okay, right?
"Oh, I love them very much..just as much as I love you! " She would say into his mind, their lips a bit to busy to verbally speak at this point! Until those sneaky hands made their way up to her ears, causing her to break the kiss briefly as a quiet moan escaped."Ohhh..You're learning to quickly.." She was corrupting him, wasn't she! "You aren't such a innocent king anymore,,he,he.." She may of said a bit much, though, the cold was really starting to set into her body, her clothing wasn't exactly dressed for warmth! "Gods, why does it have to be so cold, I just want to do things..with you..." She paused.. "We'll let the cold win this round, but later, oh yes, later...you and I are going to enjoy a nice, hot..relaxing bath..together.." That actually sounded rather nice right now, but there was a lot more to that sentence she didn't say that would definitely fit for later talk!

Ephraim responded, his inner tone sounding a little more severe than the situation called for! Ever since meeting Alisa, he realized perhaps he wasn't exactly the most innocent person himself. There was a reason he fell in love with her, even knowing how perverted she was! That wasn't THE reason, of course, but it clearly didn't deter him. If anything, he seemed to enjoy it. Especially now that it was entirely focused on him... as difficult as it could be to handle sometimes! Perhaps if your entire cleavage, midriff, and legs weren't exposed, this wouldn't be such an issue? He had to give her a bit of a snarky retort. Not that it's without its appeals for me personally, but I would prefer you not freeze to death at the same time. Yes, he certainly wasn't exactly complaining about her wardrobe choice. Though clearly, the cold wasn't usualy that much of a concern for her. She didn't seem to get chilly very easily. Wrapping his arms around her, he pushed his leg against the ground, pushing both of them out of their snowy little tomb at last, and lifting the princess up in the only pose suitable. He had to rescue her from the cold after all, clearly! "I suppose that's something I'll look forward to then, Princess Alisa..." He said, bringing the formal tone out rather playfully. "And... I love you too, in case you were curious--and your surprises." It was never boring with her. He leaned in to give her a kiss--a bit more subdued, this time! "Well, I think we've proven our dominance in snowball fighting. Shall we have that duel now, or did you have some other surprise in mind?" Poor Aerith had just barely missed the chance to get them with hjer snowball, it seemed.Carmen barely seemed to react to the snowball, as it seemed clearly she wasn't bothered by snow very much! When Aerith reached for her ears, however, she'd see them twitch a moment before her hand reached them, and a small telekinetic pulse repelled her hand. Not enough to hurt or throw her back, but enough to sting a little and push her hand back. Of course Carmen had some kind of automatic defensive measure for her ears. "I know they're irresistible, Ancient girl, but look, don't touch." Carmen said, still not even bothering to look in their direction as she addressed the happy couple.
Shortly thereafter, though, she'd make her way to Alear, raising an eyebrow. "So much interest in my animal features today..." She muttered. Clearly nothing went by unnoticed by Carmen, as the Mirage children knew very well. "I know everything." She said flatly, and honestly, it often seemed not far from the truth. "Divine energy and Fell energy, how interesting... You've had a fascinating existence. I suppose you're worth my curiosity. Tell me, "Divine" Dragon--how does one of your godlike status end up falling for a simple thief? Give me a satisfying answer, and I may give you a reward." She paused a moment, tilting her head. "...Ah, I looked a little too deeply... I never expected a thief would be the one dominating a "Divine Dragon," heehee..." She said that mostly under her breath. "You two seem very happy, yes. Very healthy relationship! So, sate my curiosity, why don't you? Come on--before I get bored!" Carmen really went from one observation to the next at breakneck pace when she was in the zone, which was often. Her brain just never stopped GOING. It made it very hard to sleep a lot of the time, but it had led her to much success indeed. Glass half full or empty, one could take their pick. She didn't even mean to pry into people's pasts or identities--she just analyzed everyone around her at all times unconsciously. That was just how her brain worked. Couldn't really turn it off. Not that she'd necessarily want to, because notions of politeness and privacy were of very little interest or consequence to her. All they did was get in the way of results.(( OOC: ))

 "Oh, really now? I find that hard to believe! I just know you were raised as a proper little prince!" If it wasn't for Eirika's gentle nature and how proper she was, maybe she might believe differently. "Hey, I wasn't exactly expecting a blizzard to fall on us suddenly out of no where! It was like the heavens wanted me to freeze! Heh! They thought they could keep me down..." Funny she would say that, considering she was down, in the snow. By her own intentions, but still pretty silly! "...Well, at least not right away..! " She added quickly. "Haha...I may enjoy this, but even for me, there's only so much I can handle! " They were in the snow for quite a while now! She wasn't Kaden, that was for sure.
There were several great things about this moment, even through the cold, she got to be playful, REALLY close to Ephraim, tease him a little, and to top it off, she would experience a nice 'rescue' of her dear king from the chilling snow, in his arms! What could be better then that? "Mmhmm. Definitely looking forward to sweet Ephraim and Alisa bath time.." She grinned, what ever could she be thinking. "He,he. You better, you're in for a lifetime of surprises with me, you know. " His life would never, ever be boring! "So desperate to lose to me, I see--I will---AH! " A snowball smacked Alisa RIGHT in the face, all the while she was still in her failed protectors arms. Then came the laughter, the...rather insane laughter of a silver-haired wolf girl, who was readying another snowball, a bit larger then the one that smacked into Alisa's face. "I got your precious princess, what'cha going to do about it, huh!? -- You can't walk away from a challenge, and -I- never gave up. You won nothing, little king! Nothing! Now, let's go!!!" He may of met his snowball throwing enemy, with all that endless energy Miya had stored up, she was bound to down him and Alisa, should she join in!
"Everything.. ? " Well, that was certainly not the answer she expected to hear, but maybe exactly what she needed to hear, if it were true. She had nothing but questions since her arrival into this world. Had she not said what she did in the next moment, she may of believed her to be just another..well,crazy person living here. Midgar seemed to be full of them,as sad as it really was! "..I don't know rather to be impressed with your ability or suspicious.." She paused, this wolf-eared girl was going to be forever itched into her memory, because how. How in the world could she forget a moment like this!? "E-excuse me?? " By the growing redness of her cheeks, it was clear this mysterious woman with the animal features was no joke, and was a little TO knowledgeable! " I-I think that isn't of your concern.." As if it couldn't get any worse, it did, and so did the intensity of her blushing face! "Will you please stop?? Did---did I give you permission to look into my memories? " That was hardly a phrase she ever thought she would say in her life! "No! " Maybe she should be the one to dive into the snow, at least she would succeed in hiding how very embarrassed she was!

She was about the furthest thing from it. "Well, if it's any comfort, I won't allow you to freeze." His tone of voice made it almost sound like he was just going to attack the snow to protect her from it, though he probably didn't mean it that way. Just typical way of Ephraim speaking made it always sound like the solution would be violence. Attacking the snow, what a ridiculous idea... right?
He could at least lift her out of the snow though, as if she REALLY needed that "rescue". Though she didn't seem to mind the gesture regardless. "Yes... let's ensure we have that time to ourselves." Last thing they needed was anyone interrupting them while they were trying to warm up and nothing else, of course. "Oh I know. I knew that well when I unfortunately fell in love with you!" He said playfully, grinning a bit as he stared into her eyes. ...Those eyes. Every time he looked into them, all he could see was the future. His future. Everything he fought for. ...Though Alisa's sudden scream caused him to pivot his body, actually managing to block the snowball from Alisa's face, and instead it just hit his shoulder. Those battle-honed reflexes were something else. He really reacted like he thought an attack was coming--for all he knew, that's what it was. All he knew was she had suddenly screamed. Turning his gaze towards Carmen's very annoying little sister, he tilted his head slightly. "A sore loser, is it? Unfortunately, we already won. I don't see any need to accept your challenge."And as if right on cue, Miya would suddenly feel her entire body up to her neck completely covered in snow as it shot up to engulf her form suddenly. She would take at least a bit to get out of her own little snowy tomb--alas, not one she was sharing with a lover, so she may really feel like the loser. Ephraim raised an eyebrow, glancing back at Constantine, who just nonchalantly sipped his hot chocolate. For as aloof as he seemed, he really did love his family dearly. He was raised with love, and he was happy to return that love, albeit in indirect ways. "The secret ingredient is love." He finally responded to Layla's inquiry, glancing at her. "...Although you could argue it was the cinnamon, pinch of salt, and honey, I would say love was the more important part." He said, his voice somewhat sarcastic. He wasn't exactly the type to go around saying things like that, so he likely just wanted to see her reaction. "I also put a little ice cream in Marie's." That just made it all the richer for his adorable little sister."Do I seem like the type to care about trivial things like permission or consent?" Well, she was sometimes, but not about matters like this. "The nervous blushing thing isn't as cute as you think it is. Are you going to answer me or not?" Alear was admittedly a cute girl, but Carmen's patience wasn't very high for people who didn't cooperate with her inquiries or experiments. Too little time to stand here and beg for a more interesting outcome. "Mm, fine. No reward for you then." She said, turning away as her interest inevitably fell to boredom, and she moved on to her next object of interest--whatever that may end up being. "You know, Miya..." And now she was right beside her snowy sister. "You shouldn't cover yourself in snow like this. You'll just make yourself sick. What kind of game are you even playing?" As if Carmen had any right to say that to her, given how long she had stayed in the snow for her little study session. Though admittedly, she was certainly more resilient than her little sister in most ways. (( OOC: ))

 "Ha! ....Do you like how much good that did for me? Hmmm?! " She asked, her grin widening. "I think you DO!" Of course he did, how could he not. He was still here, clearly she was doing something right! "Oh..? Hehehe...You're so cute when you look like you want to destroy anything that bothers me. " She wasn't on par with Unisha and some of the other Serenitian princess who just loved to be rescued, but, it didn't mean she didn't enjoy his protective nature. She very well LOVED it! "I love it. " He never had to worry about looking silly!
As she was lifted out of the snow in the arms of her love, she had to admit she REALLY loved how it felt, and could understand why so many of their girly friends just loved to be 'rescued' by their own lovers! "Of course, nothing will get in our way for our time! " She would use magic to keep them out, too, if she needed to! "Good, I can't wait for all those fun surprises! " A never ending guess of what she might try to do each day, he would always, always be the one who had her attention almost the entire day!
And then came the snowball, her eyes instinctively closed, expecting it to smack her right in the face, yet, nothing...... She did hear something that sounded like a snowball striking, but it wasn't her it hit! As she finally opened her eyes, she realized by the snow covering Ephraim's shoulder, that was where it struck. Again, his protective nature really shined, even for that of a scary doomed snowball! "Oh--Hehe..My hero." Alisa's playfulness knew no end. She was certainly enjoying this! "I'll repay you..really well--tonight!."
"Ehh!? Hmph..I haven't given up, i'm no sore loser. YOU on the other hand will be, if you deny my challenge! Of course, if you're to scared to accept, you can just admit to me! You can get down on your little kingly knees and tell me how SCARED you are!!! I'll --- Uhh?! " WELL. The sudden cold covering her entire body was quite the shut up moment! She could only move her neck so much, but not nearly enough to check her surroundings to see the guilty party responsible. "LET. ME. OUT! I swear when I find out who did this, you'll be SO sorry! GAHHHHH!! " Layla had to cover her mouth a moment, quickly bringing up her cup of hot chocolate to hide the fact that she was laughing. "Hmm, was it now? " She smiled, looking at him as she lowered her cup. "I suppose I have to make something a little extra special, reserved only for the best and fill it with even more love.." Lucky for him, she was actually a good cook, unlike so many others in the mansion! "Thank you, big brother..It was yummy! "Marie finally said, setting her little cup down, and reaching over to give him a big hug."Marie's gonna go play now! He,he! " She had her eyes set on someone in the distance, and really wanted to go help her. Hoping down from her chair, she would finally leave Layla and Constantine to their peaceful selves,as she rushed off into the snow! It was...quite deep, which made for a rather amusing adventure of her running through it while it nearly came up to her knees. In the distance, was Unisha, who was building a really...very large snow...unicorn! She had almost most of the body complete already, and now it was the wings she would begin to work on. "It's you! " She giggled,. dipping down to gather up some snow into her small hands. "Can Marie help too? " Of course, Unisha was very happy to let her help her, no matter how bad it would now turn out. She would find it adorable to see just how little adorable Marie tried to piece together the Unicorn of snow! "....I didn't do this, someone did! Just..help me out h-here!! It's getting so c-cold!! " Playing in the snow and creating snowballs was one thing, but to actually be IN it, was a whole other story. She definitely wasn't quite so resistant to it then!
Alear just kind of stofod there, completely puzzled by the entire situation, and even....a little annoyed! What a rude girl! In many ways! First, she invaded her mind against her permission, and now, just walked away after demanding to know information she didn't need to know! With the awkwardness settling in, she began to turn away, completely missing a familiar face in the distance! Probably for the best, with how much fun everyone was having right now. She would hurry off the same way she came!

"Hey, Ephie! " Hiyori called out, grinning. No 'King Ephraim' from her, he was Ephie! "Can you do me a favor? Just a teeny, tiny little one! You may even like it! " She opened her bag, pulling out her phone. "Would you mind posing with your...what'cha'ma'call it spear? Surely you don't mind the thought of looking soo cool and intimidating with it, right?! I want to be in the photo with him! " It was as though it were already decided. Ephraim was getting that photo taken rather he wanted it or not! "Come on, 'Ephie'! Let's do this! " She was already close to him, but she had to get just-a-bit closer, as she scooted right along side him. Could he even pose properly if she was so close to him? Hmm. Well, she would find out.

But our lives... Mordi's happiness... this feeling is no dream.
...This is real." As Hiyori was pestering Ephraim, she might feel a bit wobbly when she suddenly scooted across the surface of the earth towards the side, as if being pushed out of the way. She shouldn't actually lose her balance, as the earth she was standing on was what was moved, but it was a strange enough experience that she may if she wasn't too steady on her feet. Shuffling past her with the gait of a girl who had gone without sleep for far too long, a teenager with a not-so-unfamiliar hair color walked up to Ephraim with the familiarity of a family member, before... just very casually putting her arms around him, and leaning her head against his chest. "Mor..." She muttered, leaving a very confused Restoration King."..." Ephraim was already unused to casual touching in the first place, but an unfamiliar girl coming up and hugging him, well, that was quite uncomfortable indeed. "...Can I help you?""...Tired... dad...""...How many do we..." He glanced at Alisa, and he decided to stop talking there. ...He really couldn't say it was that much of a shock when he thought about it."...Tired... mom..." The girl said, very lazily transferring her hug to Alisa, and leaning her head against her chest. This was certainly more comfortable than armor."Er, what is your name?""Zzz........" ...Well, she did say she was tired."...If you must have a picture, I think she'll have to be in it as well." He informed Hiyori."Oh! Family picture! I want to join, too!" Reiner said, quickly taking his place alongside his parents. "Oh! Hello, Mordi!""Zzz..............""Haha, classic Mordi! Come here, Marie! I'll hold you for the picture! Alice! Constantine! Come join!!" It seemed Hiyori's plans were quickly becoming thwarted, because all these family members joining in clearly made the photo too crowded for Siegmund to fit into it. (( OOC: ))

  "He,he,he..About, twenty more! " Another unfamiliar voice would say, in between her sudden fit of giggles! It was..quite an amusing scene, to say the least. The look on their father's face as her twin sister hugged the two of them so casually before falling asleep in their mothers arms. "Just kidding...It's not twenty. He,he! You'll just have to find out how many of us there are.." She smiled, a playfulness in her eyes as she approached them, giving a little wave to everyone. "Hello, everyone! Were finally here! " She would go hug all her siblings, but, it seemed a family picture was in the works! "It looks like we couldn't of come at a better time! " Or a worse time, as far as Hiyori was concerned! "Oh.." Turning to her two parents, she would do a small bow. "The sleepy-head there is my dear twin sister, Mordi. She is often very tired, I suspect it has something to do with her powers, and connection to the earth..but don't be alarmed, she's fine! As for me, I'm Niki! "
Meanwhile, Hiyori was just standing there in utter irritation. She wasn't used to her plans going any way but the way she wanted them to! Instead, the swarm of teenagers were so happy to get their picture taken in one big family photo, it seemed! What a WAY to happy family! Marie was already hurrying over to them, when Reiner called her over. "Picture? Yay! Marie loves pictures!" Well, even she seemed to be thrilled of the idea. Of course, she wasn't kidding when she said she loved pictures, a thing she did a lot in their own time was look at the photo book of all of her siblings, her parents and herself as she grew.
"Ohh! I'm in! " Alice slipped herself right beside the already uncomfortable, and probably shocked father of theirs. Her arm coming up around his shoulder. "Family picture's are so precious, but one of the past? Even better! " All this, and Alisa was looking down at the teenage girl who had fallen asleep in her arms. She may of been a teenager, but even Alisa's heart melted a little! How cute it was. She could get used to this mother-hood thing real fast. "I'm---were the luckiest parents of all time, he,he..I can get used to this..Mordi and Niki, Reiner, Constantine, Alice, Marie..Ah, we are so very blessed! I'm so happy! " They really were blessed, there children were so kind and loving, where as for questioning reasons, Unisha and Carmen's were distant or troublesome!
".........................." Hiyori couldn't get out of this if she wanted to! They were all so happy, how could she hurt them like that. Her ability to take pictures wasn't exactly limited! Maybe after a few shoots of the happy little family, she would get that single one she wanted! "..Are you guys ready, then??? "

Talia "...Probably wouldn't surprise anyone if it was." The third small-framed girl there said, hands on her hips as she looked rather irritated. "Uh huh. I'm here too... REINER.""A-ah, Talia! I'm so glad to see my favorite retainer again!" Reiner said sheepishly."Your favorite retainer would like to know when you're going to be go off somewhere! How am I supposed to protect you if you manifest here without telling me?""W-well, I couldn't exactly control when I became a Mirage here...""..." The girl let out an irritated sigh. "Fine. But you're on thin ice." It really didn't seem like Reiner was the master here, the way they were talking..."..." A lot of introductions to get out of the way, it seemed. "...Twenty..." He never imagined himself with more than just a few children, but somehow, that number didn't seem so unrealistic... ever since he had gotten with Alisa. "Well... it isn't a bad thought." It would have been, had he been with anyone else, he would wager. But with Alisa... he could really imagine doing anything. Even raising dozens of children! "Well, it's a pleasure to meet you and Mordi, Niki. I'm surprised to know we've had twins, but I guess it shouldn't be that surprising." He was a twin himself, and though that only increased the likelihood slightly, with how many children they apparently had, it must have been an inevitability. "I look forward to speaking to you both more.""Snrk! ...Zzz...""...When she wakes up." What a scene this had turned into. He turned his attention to the girl who PROBABLY wasn't his daughter. "And your name is Talia?""...? Oh, yeah..." She almost forgot he wouldn't know her in this... time? World? This mirage thing confused her the more she tried to think about it. "I'm Talia. Me and my brother are retainers for your kids.""Though really, they've been in the family for a long time. I would almost consider them siblings.""Uh huh... my brother and I lost our parents during the landslide in Grado. You, uh... adopted us, kind of? Gave us food and shelter at least. No strings attached, but we decided we weren't gonna be the kinds of people to take a free meal. So we trained to become retainers, now I'm Reiner's, and he's Niki's. Speaking of, he should be back by now... ELCREST?!" She shouted, looking around, but seeing no sign of said brother. "...Never mind. He's buying something. You'll meet him soon. All your kids have at least one retainer each, so you'll probably meet more soon..." She let out a sigh. Giving so much exposition was exhausting."I see... I'm sorry to hear about your parents. What happened to Grado... it was a disaster. I want to do everything I can to help its people." ...Much to the dismay of many of his advisors and subjects. But these were the very people Lyon wanted nothing more than to protect. He could not just abandon them to their fate. ...He supposed it wasn't such a bizarre idea, that he would shelter some people from Grado who needed it. "Thank you, both of you, for protecting our children. It means-""Yeah, sure..." She wasn't the type to really love hearing praise. She turned, and Hiyori might jump a bit when she suddenly snatched her phone out of her hand at nearly lightning speed, with no warning whatsoever. "Anyway, you. Why do you want a picture of the king's spear? You planning something? Trying to find weaknesses?" Clearly she was pretty sharp to notice what Hiyori was plotting, and suspicious enough to assume it might be for nefarious reasons."Talia... relax. I noticed her intent as well, but Hiyori has more than earned my trust. I don't mind.""Earning your trust is a great way to stab you in the back. I think she needs a beating to ensure-" Suddenly, her blood ran cold, and her eyes widened. Why... did she feel so... terrified?"...Give that back to her." She heard a voice whisper in her ear, as a presence seemed to loom behind her. Very... forebodingly. Though the voice seemed gentle, there was so much... malice behind it the smile that gave that order."..." Talia shoved the phone back into Hiyori's hand. Yet the terror she felt wasn't enough to freeze her in place in the face of this danger, as she turned, summoning a tremendous blade to her hand and swinging it directly for the one who appeared behind her--but before it made contact, a flurry of chains snapped onto the blade, holding it in place. "...What the?!""You're adorable, but I'm afraid you're out of your league." Nyx said, grinning down at her."...Tch. So I see." As much as she hated it, she could tell this wasn't a battle she could win... at least, not easily. She dismissed her sword, stepping back. "You better not-""I-it's all right! Nyx is friendly...ish... w-well, she won't try to hurt us. Probably...""...Well that just fills me with confidence." She responded flatly, glancing at Reiner. "Is this another one of those problematic girls you have the hots for? Like the Aria girl? Why can't you just have eyes for a girl who isn't a walking red flag, like Minerva or something?""I-it's nothing like that! And I... have no such feelings for Aria. You're simply imagining things!""Uh huh." She sounded super convinced.Ephraim was glad the issue seemed to be resolved before serious conflict, or he'd have to break it up. He glanced to Alisa as she spoke, and he couldn't help but smile. "Sounds like you may have to..." He said playfully. With how many they seemed to have, they didn't seem to have much of a choice. "But it's... not bad. I guess we can take this as a sign that we'll get that happy future we wanted. As chaotic as it might be..." Any kids would bring some amount of chaos, but with all these AND these retainers? It was beyond inevitable. He paused a moment, taking a breath as his expression turned more serious. "...I will protect you, Alisa. All of you. I will keep this family safe. I swear... I will do everything I can not to lose this. This... this is... the most important thing. ...The best thing in my life." He said that last part a little more quietly, more so just so he and Alisa could hear. This all... it meant so much to him. After taking the throne, he didn't think he'd ever be able to live for himself again. Live for his own happiness. But that's what this was. This was so... precious to him. And he would do everything in his power and more to protect this happy future with the woman he loved, and the family they would raise.

"Hehe.." Well, Niki certainly had a good little laugh over the entire scene, it only continued to get more and more interesting! Today would be quite the eventful day for Ephraim and Alisa, for sure. "I look forward to all the time we can all spend together..and the stories we can share! " She smiled, turning to wave at Talia. "Hello, Talia! I'm so happy to see you...and to know you were both safe. So, Elcrest is off buying something huh? " She suddenly seemed quite thrilled at the idea! "I'm going to go find him, and surprise him with a great big hug! Oh! I can't wait! " He was really in for a doom of a hug, as everyone would know, Niki had developed a habit of sneaking up on him while he was unaware, or especially when looking for her, only to attack him from behind in the biggest bear hug anyone could ever manage! It was brutal. Before Talia could get another word in, had she had anything else to say to her, Niki would turn and hurry off in her great stalking mission! "..Gah!" Hiyori's soul just about left her for a second there. Dear god. "E-Excuse me? What...did you...just say to me? ....." She just........stared at her. Eyes narrowed. "Do you have a serious mental problem? I've...never been so insulted in all my life. How dare you treat me like some kind of evil fiend... I am NOT plotting something EVIL against Ephraim. My god, You idiot...Oh, so scary with a big sword, everyone around you is EVIL and plotting to do bad things! " Talia may of hit a nerve there, she really sparked something off in Hiyori with that distrust! And..that wasn't even the worst of it, as she went on to try and say more. "....Alright. That does it...I'm not completely helpless, I'll be seeing YOU in the training room later. We'll see who gets the beating.." Out of her league, sure, but Hiyori always had plans. Or...things, to help her out. She felt she could at least get her down once, and that would be enough to satisfy her!
Though it seemed maybe she didn't need to do anything at all, as a certain chaotic wife appeared right behind Talia, a smirk replacing that angry face.Well, the fear on Talia's face was quite rewarding in itself, while she didn't exactly know just how fearful everyone became around Nyx, it must of been pretty bad, which in turn made this moment rather satisfying, especially when she tried to attack and failed before she could really even lay a hit on her. Such wonderful things! "Hmph..Serves you right! "
"I..suspect it won't be so peaceful around here anymore, will it? " Alisa said quietly, for a second there, it did look like they might of had to step in, yet it was .. in a rather unique way, resolved. The tension in the air remained strongly, though! With that out of the way, she looked up at Ephraim, she might be sitting here for a while. "Ah-ha...My leg is starting to fall asleep.." But she couldn't get herself to move, or wake the adorable Mordi. Trying to put that aside, and let herself focus on the moment with Ephraim Alisa nodded, smiling. "Oh, certainly. A very, very happy and full future it seems! I love it so much..." It would never be quiet, never be sad, they would have SO much to look forward to, so much to care for and love. It really was the best future, more then she ever thought possible. Ephraim's following words brought a softer smile at her features, and while she wanted to hug him, there was a sleeping princes who would prevent that for now! "I will protect us all with everything I got, I won't let you do all the protecting, my love. We'll protect each other, and protect this beautiful family of ours we are so very blessed with. " Really, they may of been the most protected kids of all of them. Ephraim and Alisa, Alisa's own siblings and her incredibly powerful mother. Who would EVER mess with any of their children?
