Climate
Climate changes drastically by season but for the most part Greece is just very hot and harsh. The land is filled with mountains making for difficult travel and growing conditions, also making a lot of communities isolated; travel is quite rare if not done by boat.
Spring
Spring time generates quite a bit of rain, everything begins to green and flower, making for a spectacular burst of color and life. Generally in the northern regions (thrace, macedonia) it would rain every other day, getting a large amount of average rainfall. The temperature would be warm and comfortable, not hot, although some days are obviously warmer than others.
Summer
The summer time brings little to no rain, hot, dry, days and little to no growing. Grain is harvested at the beginning of summer and stored, the main production being olives, grapes and fishing throughout the summer. Northern Greece tends to see more rain, but often in the form of thunderstorms, and still not enough to sustain many plants. Summers are hot, often you will see high temperatures and everybody seeks out shade.
Fall
In the fall the rain arrives once again, this time coming on with more force, often arriving in storms of all sorts. This would be the main production month, wheat would be planted to harvest again next summer and food would be gathered to be stored for the winter. In the fall you would see similar temperatures to the spring, warm, perhaps a little warmer than spring months.
Winter
The winter season is a long one, little to no production is going on and the temperatures start to drop. Precipitation in the winter time is often more rain, snow is uncommon and more often seen in the mountain ranges than anywhere else. Winter is a time to don a cloak and boots for the cool weather, if you didn't happen to have such luxury you would typically be fine as temperatures to this day haven't yet dropped below freezing.
