Then again I was commanded to reproduce from an ex-co-worker lmao. I would love to have little minions! xd

According to this article, isoflavone is the main ingredient of concern. It is simply a matter of balance and too much of a good thing. In recommended small doses soy products can help decrease risk of heart disease, osteoporosis, breast cancer, etc. However in large doses can cause premature aging of up to five years. It's a plain and simple balance of enough and not too much.

phytoestrogens are a great way to combat PMS or menapause, but shouldn't be taken without those considerations in mind. Clearly, children shouldn't be consuming vast quantities of these natural chemicals any more than a Bisphenol A (xenoestrogens) IV needs to be injected into kick boxers. When the body gets a lot of action on the estrogen receptors, the body starts to transform in ways unpleasant for most people. Young girls and boys with breast development, serotonin imbalances leading to erotic thoughts and "easy" sleep times combined with peculiar apathy the old people used to call wanton behavior.

Your endocrine system isn't a play ground - if you are going to ******** with it, imagine it's like a complex piece of electronics or clockwork - one mistake and you throw everything out of whack.

Unfortunately, while that may be true you need to take into the fact that soy is basically in almost everything anymore. Like corn, which is another thing that too much can cause health problems, but these days it's in almost everything. It can't be avoided, unless we go on organic diets and avoid anything processed ( which not many do ). Soybeans and corn are the most farmed crops.
There's more soybeans and corn being planted than anything else. That's because they're also the most cheapest to farm. Look at labels and look around you when you're travelling through the country side.
Feed, factory farm, cheap feed issues

I too have heard about pills being prescribed and such when they are not necessary. Some doctors receive bribes for forging things in a study and prescribing a certain company's pills, partially because they are more expensive and people do not pay attention and do their own research into what they are being prescribed. People want to trust that their doctors are making the right decision for them, but that is not always true.
I heard a story from one of my teachers about how because of lobbyists in DC some scientists could not do a study in the US involving cancer. The scientists ended up doing their study in China and found that excessive animal protein can be linked to cancer. He was freaking out because his daughter has cancer and he remembered making sure she was getting her proteins and such that the doctor told him she had to have when she was a baby. Him and his wife read a book about the study. His wife felt so strongly about it that she is now a vegetarian. The only reason not many people know about it and they could not do the study in the US? The meat and dairy lobbyists in DC pressured the government. I will try to get the name of the book/article.

So what would make a good substitute? I don't drink cows milk anymore and now i'm wishing to stay away from soy milk. I do not have a lot of milk in my diet anyways since it only goes into my coffee
