I have a friend who is on antidepressants. She doesn't like taking them, so she gave some of them to me. I took one, but now I kinda feel guilty about taking her meds form her.
Advice?

Wait..you took one meaning you swallowed one? That's not safe. You're not suffering from those symptoms and you don't know what kind of effect they might have on you!
If her medicine is prescribed, then you shouldn't have taken them from her. She is being medically treated and keeping her from her medicine could result in something fatal.
I'd suggest letting her parents know that she doesn't like taking her medicines and that she may have not been taking a few of them.

I Agree. I would suggest talking to her parents, and telling them that she is not taking her medication. They can then take her to a doctor/whoever is prescribing her the medication, and go from there.
And as someone else has already stated, it's not a good idea to take anyone else's medication, no matter what kind it is. It's not prescribed for you, so you don't know what kind of effect it might have on you.
As Fatal_Rei also pointed out, you consuming her medication means there's less of it for her to take, which can be dangerous if she needs to take the entire prescription, or a certain amount each day, etc etc.
It's better to just not take anybody else's medication, period.

Well, people already got you on the "That was bad" part, so I'll leave that alone, except to say that it's also illegal. Anti-depressants aren't something you should stop taking because you don't like it. Obviously, you're taking them because you're depressed, and if you STOP taking them, you will suffer withdrawl ontop of the depression. NOT a good combination. If she wants to stop taking them, she needs to tell her doctor and they will WEAN her off of them. If she's her friend, tell her that, and tell her you'll tell her parents, because you're concerned for her.

Well, the advice is kind of simple really. Give 'em back, and don't take no more.
As for getting her to take them, I've gone over this with many friends before. Often, there's no good way to do it. Don't push, stay as a friend. DONT PUSH.

if you take medication you arent supposed to be taking not only can it cause damage to your body, but to your mind. you can get addicted to pills. Do not take someone else's pills. That's not good. And have her talk to her parents. Going srtaight to her parents w/o her consent could make her feel betrayed and want to take her meds. even less.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's over and done with now and there's nothing you can do about it. I just wouldn't do it again. Everyone makes mistakes. All you can do is learn from them an it sounds like you did.

If she really doesnt want to take them anymore she needs to go to a doctor and get re-evaluated. I had to when I stopped.
You already know about the wrongness of taking them so I wont go into that.

Its not safe. You shouldn't feel so guilty, It was Oone pill right? But you have reason to feel that way. I hate taking my Prozac, it made me carefree but I still felt lonely and sad at times.
