I think I'm a Christian, or at least partly Christian, but I don't fit into any typical denominations. D: Help me out here. Here's some of what I believe. I believe in God, who made the universe (but not in seven 24-hour days, that's ridiculous. More like seven eons or ages or something). I believe the Devil is the opposite of God and has been so from the beginning of time, as in every reaction has an equal and opposite reaction. I also believe that God (and Jesus, his son, and the Spirit, his assistant or something) is benevolent and wants us to be saved and will try to do so in any way possible, because he's competing with the Devil for souls and whoever has the most souls at the end of time wins. (Way oversimplified for the sake of brevity.) I figure hell is your worst nightmare, whatever that is, and heaven is your best dream. I think that they put you on a sort of scale when you die and measure the bad things and the good things, and some are worth more than others. Like, killing someone innocent = heavy weight on the bad side. (I think if you take out someone as a service to humanity, though, that gives you a weight on the good side.) And in the afterlife you can choose to go to your heaven or possibly go back to Earth as an angel or spirit, but if you go to hell you're stuck there for a while. I also think that the ancient Greek gods and stuff were real at one point, if not now. And all the other gods and such. I don't think they run the earth - I think God does that himself, like the grandmaster of a chess game - but I think the gods and angels and saints and stuff (and demons and the like on the other side) are like the more important pieces on the chessboard, and God's one side and the Devil's the other, and us humans ourselves are where the game is taking place. I do believe in supernatural things like ghosts and monsters and all that. And dragons. They're evolved from dinosaurs. As for the Holy Trinity, I think that it's kind of like water, it's all the same molecule but there's ice, and water, and water vapor. You get what I mean, right? I don't believe in superstitions or that sort of thing in the least little bit. Black cats are bad only if you're allergic to dander, and opening an umbrella is bad luck if you have a low ceiling. But I do believe in good/bad fortune, I have a good luck owl charm and it works incredibly well. When I don't wear it my life is awful, when I do wear it my life is awesome. It's the weirdest/coolest thing ever.
So. What am I? I have no clue. Any ideas? I have a bad feeling I don't fit into anything and would probably have to start my own church if I were to belong to an organized religion. D:

This pickled vegetable...Before I actually read your first post may I just ask: Does it really matter what label fits your religion? Would giving it a name in any way alter your faith in it?
EDIT: Short answer: you are a "Non-denomination Christian". So long as you believe in Jesus Christ you are Christian, everything else is window-dressing. Christianity is one of those lovely orthodoxic religions where all you have to do to be a member of said religion is believe. In this case, believe in Christ and the Holy Trinity. ... could kick your a** !!

You sound like a Trinitarian Protestant that has a dualistic world view, monolatrism, and reincarnation leanings. You'd probably get along in a liberal non-denominational church. Though most of what you said would fit into a Christian framework the only issue I can see is why would God play chess with the devil? What would happen if the Devil wins? If scripture states that God made the devil then why can he not un-create the devil?
Other issue? Why do you believe that dragons came from dinosaurs? Would it contradict your theology if this wasn't true?

I could have sworn that they did it at least once, they bet over whether or not D could get this once specific guy to turn away from G. I imagine playing chess with one another would be along the same lines... ... could kick your a** !!

His role is the Adversary not in that he is opposing God but in that he is opposing man in order to test him for God, not to win souls for his body count. While there are dualistic models in Christianity that are workable, this sort of dualism would raise questions like why wouldn't the Devil be considered another God?.... Re-reading his OP it would appear that the Devil would be like God's evil twin which would make one wonder if the Devil won, then would those who supported God get tossed into to hell? Next, if the Devil is like another God, does he have his own creations? Also how does one reconcile this Devil-God that has existed since God with scripture that states that all things come from God and verses such as Issiah 45(?) that God made Good and Evil? Though this is assuming he's working with the standard Catholic Canon or one of it's protestant variations.

I do believe in all of the prophets before mine including Jesus chirst. (I'm a bahai) But what makes me not a Christian is I don't follow the literal idea's that are not relevant to this day and age. Christian concepts were made for under developed people during the time and the idea of a literal devil and a literal god is hard to believe now, but back then humans weren't as advanced mentally as they are presently. So they couldn't understand abstract concepts.

So they couldn't understand abstract concepts. You HAVE to believe in Christ in order to be a Christian. That's the entire point of Christianity. Where do you think the "Christ" in "Christianity" came from? It's not a coincidence. Christianity is called "Christianity" because of Christ. Of course, simply because you believe Christ existed does not make you a Christian. Many people who are not Christians believe that he existed, but only as a mortal man, and those of the Muslim religion and its branches believe he was a prophet, not the son of god.
