The Importance of Humans

Few members of the monster community understand the importance of human on the monster realm. Yet as a society we push them away when our safety depends on them. Why are they important? Well let this mystery reporter answer your questions.
First of all there are different type of magic users when it comes to humans. The weakest type of the magic users are psychics, fortune telling and those with Clairvoyance. The next group are the shaman and spirit leaders who are the real in between of the human world and the monster world.
But the third group is the ones that are allowed at this school. This group are witches and wizards. After they finish with their education they often take jobs as defense job of keeping the veil up. This veil is what separates the worlds from each other.
The final group are the Warlocks and Sorcerers. The strongest of all the possible magical human classes. They are the ones who hold the veil up and keep us all safe.
So next time you see one of these magical humans thank them for keeping us safe and beg them to find more of them so the veil stays up.

User ImageThe History of the Gothic Ball

Humans would understand the idea of the event called Prom. If your a 'monster' then you don't even know what I'm talking about a very formal dance. This dance usually happens at the end of the school year. I often based on the age and grade levels and there are multiple dances based on grades that are common. What what a human prom is like.
The Gothic Ball is a dance, formal of course, that happens at the beginning of the school year. As a way to make us 'human' and have fun. It was a ploy by Vice Principal Richardson. Richardson appears in the school records at the age of 18 and a wizard. Records show that he worked as a part-time janitor. From there the next time he gets a job change is at 24 when he becomes a teacher and founded the dance. So for ten years this dance has taken place.

The Magic of the Veil

Some people wonder what is the veil really? Though we know it protects us how does it? Well I hope this article in my beloved tabloid can answer all the questions you have and more.
Way back in ancient history times there was no place that had a veil around it and humans and 'monsters' co-exist. This worked wonderfully until about the time that the conqueror Alexander the Great started is taking of land. That is when our kind started getting hunted down. The elders of each race knew that we couldn't live like this for much longer and contacted shaman, druids, and other low ranking humans to protect them and in return we would help them. These spiritual leaders became the first wizards and witches.
Problem solved right? Wrong. These early wizards and witches dropped like flies because they didn't know how to use only a little energy. The veils at that time kept anything and everything out. As time went on they learned to only use a little energy and make places disappear over keeping everything out. That means our modern veils are easy to get into, but, in return we have our veil masters for longer and they can use other things to keep the enemy humans away.

Next time I'll continue the story with the Veil Wars.

Veil Wars

Everyone knows about the Veil Wars and most of us were alive at that time. For those human born magic dwellers I'll tell you about it. First of all I was only 4 when it happened so my information is second hand at this time.
The Veil Wars was a one year civil war in the magical world. The groups were two different political parties who are well known to have certain types of members. Anyways the fight was over if the Veil should be removed and the magical creatures of this world should be allowed to roam among humans without the tough rules we have now.
The fight was taken to the streets and every few days the capital city would have a new toll on the death count. Many families and civil leaders left the city while these fights broke out. Each side had it's own political leaders though the names and who they are only known to a few. Most of the dead came from the side that was against opening the veil. There dead included mostly Elves, fairies, pixies, human turned werewolves, and witches or wizards. The dead from the other side are mostly vampires, lycans, succubus/incubus, and other creatures considered dark.
Since then the rules between realm travel have only gotten stronger and the debate still continues one what they would do. Our own Mr. Richardson, who was a fighter, is a strong supporter against opening the veil.

Woodland Elves on Colors

Black Was once considered a bad color. With the introductions of foreign ideas from the Humans and Dwarves it is now considered a color of morning and scholars. It is sometimes put under tunics and used as legs to show signs of mourning.
Blue A popular color to the Woodland Elves. Blue items are often worn at home or for special occasions. Blue is often associated with water and thought as another color of life.
Brown An often worn color. One of the basic colors in the Woodland elf's collection of clothes. Usually used for bottom articles of clothing, shoes, or under clothing.
Gold Gold is used for decoration items such as trimming and jewelery. Normal citizens wear gold only for formal occasions while royalty wears the color while out in public to symbolize the higher status.
Gray A popular color a among women and girls.
Green A basic color to the Woodland people. Green is used on almost everything. Like Blue it too is seen as a color symbolizing life.
Orange A color that is not often used. When it is used it is on mostly common place clothing for daily use.
Pink A popular color with both men and women. Pink is used to brighten up formal wear and is used for formal occasions. Girls use the color as dresses while men use it as trimming on their outfits or for shirts.
Purple A sometimes used color and used for formal occasions. It is usually the lighter hues that are used and the color can be compared to usage to that of pink.
Red Red is used for festive times. The color is flamboyant to the eyes the Woodland people. The color is often associated with tricksters.
Silver Silver is a popular item in trimmings and jewelery. While gold is used only for the most formal of times. Silver is used even in semi-formal times.
Tan Tan is used for basic clothing. Most of the time it is used for the lower half of the body and every so often the upper part.
White White times can be considered basic or it can formal. Items that lean toward cream are basic while times that are pure white or tinted can be formal.
Yellow Yellow is another festive color to the Woodland people. While it is more often used outside of festive situations than red, yellow isn't as popular to the elvish people.
