Having failed oral English that year, Junior was taking summer school with.. just about everyone else in class, actually. There hadn't been one student he could remember that didn't fail at least one subject, so it wasn't really embarrassing that he was still going to school. Kade was hardly bothered by it, even, which was why he didn't mind picking Junior up from school in the middle of the summer and bringing him to work after his lunch break. Junior wasn't doing much outside of play games when he was at home, anyway, so it wasn't like Kade was ruining his plans.. Theresa was just busy at work, since summer time always brought in way more parents needing daycare for whatever reason and Jacob was off washing the shrines or something that wouldn't allow Junior to come along. So, that left Junior being watched while Kade was at work! The boy had went immediately from the door to the waiting area, sitting down with a PSP in hand and playing away at it.
Kade, with a small peek at his son, looked back around his salon to see some stranger at his desk. He blinked – oh, dear – did.. did someone come in waiting for him while he was gone?! This hadn't happened before! Then again, the salon was normally pretty quiet – so much so that Kade hardly bothered to put up any sign to say they were away or not. Still, he was regretting that as he hurried to stand by his desk, smiling in a friendly manner at the new guy, “Hey! I haven't seen you around before.. Are you new in town?” He questioned while he glanced him over unabashedly – well, no one could blame him for being curious! Once he was satisfied with taking the other in, he raised his eyes back up to look at the other's face, “I'm Kade, current owner of the Sugar Salon – can I help you?”

Dawson was fiddling with a pencil on the counter when he heard the first sign of life in the shop. "O-oh, hello." The man standing before him was cute indeed, not truly Dawson's type, but cute. "Hi there, my name is Dawson." He said with a smile. "I am new to town, and I applied to be make-up artist here in your shop." With a pale pink tinting his cheeks he smiled nervously as he walked through the conversation with his new boss. Dawson reached into the messenger bag at his side and retrieved a manilla envelope. "Here is my resume and pictures of make up I did for a modeling agency." Dawson's nerves were shot from insomnia, but that was normal for him. He wished he'd stopped for coffee before he'd come to the store. "I can't wait to get started in your shop." He said with a bright smile.

Awe, he sounded kind of shy~ ..No, wait, shy? Kade grew worried as he considered having another employee he'd have to coach through the basics of customer service. Someone could be good, yes, but Kade always swore up and down that almost eighty percent of the work was keeping people entertained while you did the magic! He honestly doubted he would have much time to deal with another nervous wreck being lead by the hand of some new customer – but, thankfully, he seemed to get friendlier by the second! Kade gave a short hum in acknowledgment that the man was being heard, taking the envelope to pop it open before he was even told what was inside. The make up artist, huh? He carefully slid the papers inside onto his hands, flipping them over to sit atop the envelope as he glanced over them one by one, but skipping the resume in favor of the pictures. He always did enjoy pictures more than reading, after all~
“Mmhm, nice, sweetie..” He said in approval as he scanned them over, eventually getting back up to the resume. Well, he wasn't inexperienced – hold up. “A tattoo artist? Honey, I hope you know we aren't going to give anyone permanent jobs.” He said jokingly before he continued on, more wanting an answer with his next words, “Why not the tattoo parlor?” It was a basic question, considering his main experience was at one of those places. It seemed a little odd he would apply for a make up artist job when he seemed more qualified for there. ..Unless they were the back ups, which would probably ruin Kade's hopes of getting another secured employee. Oh, well, he shouldn't lose faith just yet - Dawson had yet to answer him!

Dawson blushed a bit as he was found out. He went back a step on his heel and had to find his words correctly. He found that honesty would probably be his best bet and a good first impression. "I had considered the Tattoo Parlor, however they are full as far as staff." Dawson kept eye contact, he only had one chance to get this job. "I was taught to do make-up by the same school in which I studied my art and tattooing." He smiled remembering those classrooms, halls, and even a few friends. "I am in desperate need of a job, and this salon is beautiful." He smiled looking at the interior. "I will not disappoint with my make-up skills." He said sternly, re-focusing on Kade. "I would also like to point out that I worked in a fast food restaurant while I was in college, so customers would be no problem for me." He nodded as he thought, "The only change is that most everyone knows each other in this town, and a newcomer may be frowned upon."

Tatyana kicked the door open with the front of her beautifully painted toes sticking out of her marvelously new heels. She had to show off everything she had for the people here. The salon types were always so finicky about everything and dying to rip you apart. At least that's how they all were back home, great to get the latest gossip though. That was the main reason she had wanted this position anyway. It was the perfect mixture of gossip and money, just enough to get her excited about working. She continued to push the door the rest of the way open and then gripped the edge to guide it shut quietly. She looked all over the place once she was inside and not completely worried about her grand entrance. It wasn't that bad at all, a bit smaller than she imagined. But, it seemed that everything on this little island was smaller than she imagined. It seemed that her hopes were a little too high or rather big for this place. She ran her fingers across the counter and checked her finger for scum or dirt or dust or something. This place had to meet her standards if they wanted her working her.
She continued walking around, trying to be as dramatic as possible. She loved the sound that her heels made when she walked so precisely, after all. She continued rubbing her fingers against each new surface and bent over to smell everything. This wouldn't be an easy task and it couldn't have ended out any better that whoever worked here wasn't anywhere to be found. She made her way over to the nail place, the place she was particularly interested in, and checked every little bottle of nail polish and other little pieces. The file looked nice and sharp and all of the colors were actually quite gorgeous. She turned and crossed her arms, taking in the entirety of the place from the back of the room. Yeah, she could totally see herself working here. Now if only she could size up the other workers here...

-Same day? New day? time paradox?- Dante arrived with Tatum on his arm, a new outfit on, new heels and a new purse to match, while he carried alot of his other new drag clothing in bags from Tatums store. Stepping inside he lead Tatum in and looked around for Kade. " Hello! Kade sweetie?! Me and my new girl Tatum here need our makeup done." Dante called out with a smile, oh yeah he was back to his good ol self. Eva who? She wasnt a thought in his mind right now. It was just him, Tatum and his good ol friend Kade. Oh he would have to update Kade on everything he didnt think he had as of late. It had been awhile since he had talked to the hairdresser. Oh that was bad wasnt it? He would have to make it up to Kade! A nice outing! Or sleepover yah! Of course Dante didnt know jack about what happened with Ilya after he had slept with her, so the male in drag was rather in the dark about alot of things right now. Oh he didnt mean to ignore his friends! He had just been... oh right.. he had been wallowing in self pity.. well this will teach him!

Another boooring day in the salon! Kade had been in the back, as usual, taking inventory – as if today could be any more boring! But, he had to do this for his lovely little baby~! ..Not so little baby.. Oh, well, Junior was too shy and demure to leave the house anytime soon, so he was sure he had the kid until he was.. maybe thirty? Oh, hopefully! Kade had already realized the main thing keeping him sane was taking care of the boy lately – it was somewhere to pour all his love into without any worry of the kid leaving or dying on him – why? Because Kade was keeping a triply-good eye on him! He would be the safest, happiest kid ever! But, for all that, he needed to make sure his business stayed alive. He had been semi-competing with Theresa lately as her new streak of bitchiness had her showing off the amount of money she brought in. The daycare center really was booming.. But, with all the little girls running around, Kade was sure he was due to get a bunch of kiddie haircuts soon! He just had to wait for them to get dragged in and then, boom! He would be back in as the bacon-bringer of the household! If that meant he had to do petty work like inventory, then he would do it~!
...Riiight after he went out to say hi and call Haruka in for the new customers, that is! He dropped his clipboard with maybe two lines filled out despite the hours of bored work he had put into it. There was a very cute looking kitty doodled into the corner of the papers, though, as proof that he had been doing something at least. He strolled into the salon through the 'Employee's Only' plain white door to see who had come in. Oh, certainly a new girl! She was so.. styling, too! He instantly beamed as he saw her apparently.. studying the nail polish? Weird! Most customers were more polite than to stroll in and look at the stations! But, he didn't mind – it wasn't like she was trying to take off with it, at least! “Four dollars a bottle, sweetie.” He told her just as she turned back around, smiling in his best salesman smile, “China Glaze – good brand and fabulous prices too! We have a few sets you can get for a good price if you want to check them out.” He added in with a motion back to where the actual nail products were set up for the customers to view before he moved on to introductions.
“I'm Kade and welcome to Sugar Salon – sorry for not being out here sooner, but, you know, inventory..” He drifted off with a slight weak smile before the bell of the door had him glancing back – oh! Dante! He waved at him with his fingers before mouthing out B-U-S-Y at the man. While that was true as he turned back to the woman, it was partly because he was unsure what to say to him. He hadn't exactly seen or even heard about him since Ilya and.. he tried not to frown at the thought. Customer-face! Focus!
