╔═══════════════╗ ♫♀♥ Dionysus, God of Wine ♥♂♪ ╚═══════════════╝ Dionysus was a little taken aback by Prometheus’ actions, apparently not shaken at all by Dionysus’ suggestion. And Dionysus was NOT used to denial. He was a god people listened to, worshipped and respected for both his slightly... different take on life to others, which was also balanced with his love for celebration and quite a short temper.
Basically, he was a spoiled brat. He thought of himself as the perfect prince who everyone loved, and anyone who denied him were worthless.
His free hand, which didn’t hold his wine glass still, balled in to a tight fist at his side as Prometheus threw his proposition back in his face, asking for another chance instead. But Dionysus knew life was unfair. Second chances didn’t work out most of the time, and anyone who believed in them were automatically mindless idiots to Dionysus. He was too smart to believe in such things as empty words and shallow promises.
But, he did also believe in love, having been (mostly) faithful to his wife all his life, so when Prometheus mentioned that Ate was his life, his temper died down a little.
Bitterly, he gave in, frowning the whole time, and he glanced at Ate with questioning eyes, “Do whatever you wish to do...” He mumbled to Prometheus, though he was ready to turn defensive once again if he needed to, “It is not my decision to see you as trustworthy or not. But do not get comfortable... I will defend my sister if you do not behave accordingly..” And he meant it, truthfully.
He could see, so clearly at that, the way Ate reacted to his words.. but it wasn’t his place to interfere. Not yet. Crying was probably a good thing right now; so instead of comforting her fully, he simply placed his hand on her shoulder like before, just to show her that he was still here for her, even if he didn’t say anything else.
This was their quarrel, not his, so he fixed his eyes on Prometheus, watching his every move with a slightly defensive air about him as he stood beside Ate, with any hint of a smile reappearing on his face any time soon seeming highly unlikely.
“Bacchus hath drowned more men than Neptune.”

 Prometheus
Prometheus turned his head slightly to look at Dionysus, and seemed to simply look at him for a moment, before his stern expression softened slightly. "I know... and for what it's worth, I'm glad Ate has such a stalwart guardian. Thank you."
With that, he turned his attention back to Ate herself... and his expression lost what hardness it had kept. He stepped forward slowly, reaching up to brush her chin with one hand, gently tilting her head up so he could look into her eyes. "Ate... don't cry. I love you, and you love me back. In the face of that, what are a few angry words?" He raised his thumb, gently wiping the tear streak from her left cheek. "There'll be times I have to leave to take care of things, I won't lie to you. But I swear to you on anything you wish to name, I will always come back to you... no matter how much it takes."
He paused for a long second, then gave a slow, uncharacteristically mischievous grin. "Now... what say we figure out how to make Zeus have a very... very bad day?"
I have planned for everything, so why are they always surprised when I see it coming?

This post sucks, I'll tweak/edit it later...Kind of sick at the moment. ╔════════════════╗ ↭Goddess of Ruin↭ ╚════════════════╝ Some Fall from Heaven Ate touched Dionysus' arm as she felt his hand again, taking some comfort from his support...But she felt herself spiraling, collapsing within herself as she realized just how foolish the last twelve hours had been. The idea that he would betray her made her stomach twist painfully, especially as he stepped forward and gently touched her chin, dried her tears.
She was the goddess of ruin and delusion...Of rash action...the downside of this, in between the fun times, was that she was cursed to live out her talents. When she had woken to find him gone, her world had crumbled and every possible scenario that could have been assaulted her senses.
Ate turned her eyes up to meet his, tears brimming as she listened to him. She knew he was telling the truth, he'd never lied to her before and she knew better than to believe he would truly betray her.
When he grinned at her, Ate couldn't help herself and smiled back, laughing a little to hide the lump in her throat. She reached up and touched his cheek gently before giving him a relieved and apologetic kiss on the lips.
"I'm sorry." She kissed his cheek and whispered as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "We can go back to my place and figure out what to do." She suggested, her eyes never leaving his. Some are Thrown

Prometheus
Prometheus wrapped his arms around Ate's slim form, holding her close. "That sounds good... though we'll have to fix up your sitting room first. That won't take long, though. Then we'll find out just what sort of ideas we can come up with, hm?"
Inwardly, Prometheus breathed a sigh of relief... Ate didn't truly hate him; he could barely believe how much hearing that had hurt him. But it was quite solidly in the past, now, and he didn't have to worry about it any further... which relieved him. For what sort of plan could he make to deal with that...?
I have planned for everything, so why are they always surprised when I see it coming?
