(sorry if this was already a topic)

I know a lot of us like watching movies that were originally books so we can tell the differences (and in my case, complain about hollywood's perversions of my favorites!) but does anyone else ever watch a movie trailer or even a movie and then realize it's a book, which leads you to want to read it?

If I see a trailer for a movie I'm interested in, I do research to see if it was a book first. If it was then I'm more likely than not going to get the book and read that first.

Similarly, what if you pick up a book and find out it's a movie novelization?

eh, i usually don't read novelizations. those you can pretty much be certain are exactly like the movies, so i don't really think they are worth the time of reading.
