What is your favorite musical of all time? I know there has to be some Wicked, Rent, Phantom Fans! Come on.

My favorite of all time. No question: Starlight Express. or maybe Big. Both have stood the test of time in my fanbook.

I adore Big. We did that my freshman year as our competition show. Great fun.
Um...I'm not sure what my favorite musical is.
I'd have to think about that...

As wonderful as Wicked, Rent and Phantom are, I believe that people who only look at *very* recent musicals are seriously missing out. I don't know if I have a favorite, but I truly love Last Five Years and Rocky Horror Show. ^_^
(Wasn't saying that you can't have Rent, Wicked, Phantom, etc as your favorite - farm from it. But from experience, the people who love those musicals rarely know what Show Boat, Mame or Anyone Can Whistle are. If you catch my drift.)

Anyone Can Whistle is another one of my favorites ^_^ It always makes me think of the summertime, Walmart, and french toast english muffins. I love the musical The Mystery of Edwin Drood. It has a part in it for everyone. It's a musical comedy that has no fourth wall. It has great music. I know I've already posted about it several times in this guild. whee

I dont have a favourite musical cause i have a long list of those i love but my favourite that I have been in so far has been oliver which is strange cause I thought I wouldnt enjoy it but I got deeply into my charcter of Nancy and now I cant watch the film cause it annoys me how she was portayed by shanni wallis

I saw Phantom when I was 6, so POTO had always been my favorite.
But my other two loves are Miss Saigon and Les Miserables! ( But only the Dream Cast of Les Mis, because all the others sucks!)

RENT is one of my favorites, but I cant say it is my absolute favorite. I saw Starlight Express when I was in London about 8 years ago and I LOVED it. I like way too many mysicals to even name them all.

I'm not picky really. Current obsession is Rent. I love Wicked though- it was amazing. Les Mis makes me happy, especially since I was in it =] I pretty much grew up on Joseph...Dreamcoat too.... and I have a soft spot for a little known musical called Lucky Stiff.

Les Miz, Lion King, A Chrous Line, Wicked, Phantom, RENT, Chess, Last Five Years, Hairspray, Fiddler On The Roof, and there are more, but I'm really lazy.
