Gulping Draka watched as her love spoke to the young pup and left, he was so trusting how could she have ever though he would leave her? Pushing those thoughts away Draka glanced back to the pup, she needed to speak with him he seemed so hurt and wounded... Why would such a small puppy have a reason to be as sad as he seemed to be? Where was his mother? Waiting for her mate to leave Draka headed over to rock plopping down to his level before taking a deep breath and talking with the boy.
"Rock is everything okay?" Her voice was laced with understanding and heartwarming emotions of love, she didn't want any puppy from her pack or her neighboring one to be as sad as this boy. "You are always welcome in this pack, you are always welcome to go to Sam or..." Biting her lip Draka was slightly fearful that the puppy disliked her because she had left him from before, "Or you can come to me if that would please you." It would certainly please Draka to have a young puppy at her side, to raise as her own...
Maybe her and Sam could talk it over soon.

Rock sat stock-still in the midst of everything going on around him in the large den. He watched the wolf he knew - Draka - tell another wolf to wait for her in their den. This must be the first alpha, Samhain. He had been told by Loki all about these things, so he liked to think he knew faces when he saw them. The pair seemed happy together, so he was thankful that if he had caused a problem, it had resolved relatively quickly.
The big male spoke to him, and Rock wanted to cry at the kindness he was displaying towards the lonely pup, but he didn't. He managed to hold in the tears, and thought that maybe it was only because he had cried so much already. He felt all out of tears. Draka approached him now as Sam disappeared into the cave they shared. She was more soft now than she had seemed when she was running from him outside, and he was thankful for that.
"N-no" he hiccuped, not sure that he could even tell her what had happened, or that he even understood it fully in any case. "I went home and... " more hiccuping, interrupting his sentences, "tried to talk to my momma... and she tried to hurt me." he was crying again. He couldn't explain the kind of hurt he had felt, or how frightened he had been when he was hiding from the female who should have been loving and caring. "I don't wanna go back." he whispered, still stuck on the same spot he had been stuck to for the duration of this visit to Hollow Earth.

Frowning Draka leaned down into a crouching position and inched forward, “Hurt you?” Why would any mother try to hurt her own flesh and blood pup? It hurt Draka to see Rock in this much pain, she would have to seriously talk with Jono about his mates behavior towards her pups she wouldn’t stand for this one bit. Draka had to hold back a growl and the need to rush off to her home land and bark her head off at Jono’s mate but luckily the need to comfort this small pup overwhelmed that other need.
“You don’t have to go back; you are welcome here as long as you wish Rock.” And as best as she could she put a smile on her face, filled with comfort and a caring need for others; well really only pup others. Maybe she could adopt Rock from South Seaside? She could always have pups still after adopting him if Sam so wished it.

The pup sniffled as Draka leaned down to be on his level. He didn't want to talk about it, and he told her as much. "I don't wanna talk about it, please." he whispered, his voice pleading, his expression still frightened. It had been terrible, and he never wanted to go home again. Why had this happened to him? Why didn't his mother love him the right way?
He really had no other mother/pup combinations to to compare his situation with, but he knew that this was very wrong. He didn't know now why he had run here, to confide in strangers who were out of the family loop all together. Oh, that was why, because his family was the problem.
"But I..." he began to speak. He couldn't leave Kona, could he? Could he betray his father, deny him as his father, and come to live here? That would be so terrible in his mind. There were a few siblings who weren't completely terrible, right? Now he really didn't know what to do.

Nodding Draka understood now to force something when it wasn’t wanted to begin with, “Of course young one, just remember I am here.” Now more than ever did she wish she could be with Sam, to talk with him about pups their future… Her brother, to work through any problem they might have she didn’t want to go through a pained life without Sam. Life wouldn’t be worth it otherwise.
She truly didn’t know where this motherly urge came from but it was strong and it made her beam with joy to have her own pups. Rock needed her and maybe just maybe he would be willing enough to accept her too… She would never take him away from his kin, from his homeland but he would always be welcome in her home, in her heart.
“You do not have to stay forever just as long as you’d like. Just as long as it takes to heal.”

The young pup figured he would like to be allowed to wander as though he still lived in South Seaside. There, he had so little supervision that he could really do as he pleased, and he feared that here, he might have less a chance to do the things his heart was wont to do. He sighed softly and wriggled towards the adult, hoping to find solace in her dusty paws - the solace he had been denied by his own mother.
He wasn't sure what to say or do, and realized once again that this was how he spent most of his time feeling, these days. Was his mother supposed to tell him these things? Was that the whole source of his problems? He did not know, and decided he trusted this female enough to say so.
"I never know what to do." he said, curled up at the alpha's paws. "Am I supposed to, or..." he trailed off, not even fully sure of what he meant to ask her. Would she even be able to answer him? He didn't think she was some magical being who knew everything there was to know, but she was older, and with age came wisdom, he had been told. He could only hope she could give him the guidance he needed so very much.

Draka frowned, this poor pup he was so young had so much more to discover in life before even worse things hit him. It seemed like he was clueless, she couldn’t allow him to grow up not knowing or understanding at least some of what life will throw his way. What had happened was no longer Draka’s concern all she wanted to do was help this young one now, he needed it and she would be able to bask in the enjoyment in having a pup around.
Pasting a smile on Draka leaned down and nuzzled the boy, “I will tell you everything you want to know sweety pie.”
“But that doesn’t mean I have all the answers to give, sometimes you just need to figure things out on your own.”
“But that comes later in life.”

Rock nodded, and leaned into her nuzzle, relishing in the feeling of being loved and cared for in that tiny motion. He felt comforted by her words, and even when she admitted she didn't have all the answers, he felt as though that would be ok too.
He smiled up at her, liking the term of endearment she had given him. Whatever a 'sweety pie' was, it made him feel warm and fuzzy inside, and he became instantly addicted to the feeling.
"I... needa talk to my papa and my sister first." he said, becoming a bit more serious. He couldn't just leave the family without saying anything, and he silently hoped that his father would understand, and wouldn't bring hatred down on this pack. He understood now that his father had... taken advantage of his mother, and that was why they, as pups, were even in the world now.
The thought frightened him, that he was only alive and existed because of an act of overpowering, and act of hurting. Had his father had malicious intent, or had he simply wanted something, and taken that?
He was still young, but Rock knew that something had to happen between males and females to create pups. It wasn't as though there were some wolf-stork who brought in bundles of five or six. The pup laughed at the thought, a silly picture forming in his brain.

Raising a brow at the mention of his sister and not mother Draka shrugged it off maybe that was how his family worked now? Nuzzling the pup further Draka liked caring for the small pup, he needed love obviously and she wanted to care for him as practice for her own pups. It might sound bad but it wasn’t like she was going to half a** her feelings for anything that much was for sure with Samhain.
Pulling away Draka glanced in the direction of Rock’s homeland, “Would you like me to attend you?” It looked so far away from where Draka was standing. But then again the threat of Rock’s family denying her, or the fact that the pup wishes so thoroughly to get away at such a young age hung in the air. What had gone wrong, and did his parents know?
“I will understand if you don’t wish me to go along with you, I will be here when you come back.” She said ‘when’ when she should have said might, but in truth nothing could stop Draka from keeping in contact with little rock.

Rock stayed a moment more cuddled up to the female before side-stepping away. He had figured it out. "You know we're related." he said, matter of factly. He couldn't remember if he had told her this before, but after he had said it, remembered introducing himself as Loki's great-grandson. Draka had introduced herself as Loki's great-granddaughter. It was so very cool to find family everywhere he went. Family that wasn't crazy.
Rock wondered how many of the Hollow Earth wolves were actually his family. Pol and Sol looked a lot like his grandmother, Hannah. Ave, the omega, kind of looked like she could be related to Loki as well. Did anyone live in South Seaside who was related to Sam or Lilith or Lullaby? He had no idea.
"I can go alone, though..." he finally remembered she had asked him about that. He would have liked her to accompany him, but he felt it was one of those things that a guy just had to do himself.
He didn't want her coming along. Her presence as an alpha might bully his family into feeling or acting a certain way, and he didn't want that. He wanted truth, honesty, naked feelings.

Smiling Draka nodded to the pup, “Yes I remember little one.” It was indeed nice to know you had relatives you could look to and take care of when needed; it was nice to have relatives in general. This little guy before her seem to need her and she needed him, more than just for practice but it was an added bonus that really counted to Draka, she needed him to understand that family can mean more than just craziness.
“Alright sweet pea, I will be here for you when you return.” Leaning in to nuzzle Draka fear this might be the last time she would see the little guy, she wouldn’t let that happen! If needed be she would silently follow him… No she couldn’t do that, it would hurt Rocks feelings it seemed like he wanted to do this on his own.

Rock nodded his agreement and untangled himself further from her legs. He believed his sister to still be at the healer's den, and he knew where that was, vaguely. His father, however, he had no idea about. He would need to look around a bit to sniff him out, but he also wasn't sure he wanted to talk to him at all.
"I'll be back." he promised, though he didn't say how long he would be. He felt awkward about it, since she was an alpha and he felt often as though he were the lowest of the low. He looked around him, his eyes resting on the entrance to his mushroom cave only momentarily before the moved on to soak in the sights in the rest of this dark cave. He could hear the sounds of distant water dripping from the ceiling, and knew there was running water through some of the caves that the wolves here hadn't discovered yet.
Maybe he would be the one to lead them to those caves. It would be an interesting life, living here, and he wondered which cave he would live in, since he had no family of his own in this pack. He guessed he would cross that bridge when he came to it.

Nodding Draka watched the little pup with a heavy heart, he seemed to have been through so much and already he wanted to go back and do what was right to stay with her. She only wished her pups would be born with that kind of heart, she would make sure his life wasn’t all hell she would do her best to make him the happiest she could while at the same time being the leader she was meant to be.
Which reminded her Sam was still waiting for her, hopefully he didn’t think she had run off and would approve of her choices she had made today. She didn’t usually fish for acceptance of her choices but with what’s recently developed she’d be surprised if she was breaking some sort of rule somewhere.
“I will be here, whenever you need me.”

Rock didn't dare look back over his shoulder as she bid him farewell. He knew he would come back here, even if it was just to visit in the night. For now, though, it was time for him to find the family members he needed to speak with.
Rock made his way to the cave entrance he had come through in the first place, being ever careful not to wreck the bush that grew over the cave opening. It was so cool how they all lived under something so big as a mountain, and Rock thought he would love living underground where it was cool and dark, and the mushrooms grew plentifully.
As he broke through into the sunlight, Rock squinted. He had not to walk far before he was once again in the lush grass that covered most of the outside areas of Hollow Earth. The pup made his way home through that grass, and didn't hesitate this time as he crossed the tree bridge for, he hoped, one of the last times.

Watching Rock walk away was hard, having to hold herself back Draka found it quite difficult to not just dash after the male pup and drag him back to his real home. She wanted to keep him safe and not knowing what he was getting into lead her to believe that bad things might happen, she couldn’t allow that! Growling Draka shook off those feelings, he would come back and things would be better she would teacher him life could work out well; I mean just look at her and Sam!
Glancing back to her home den wit Sam Draka trotted off happily, though she worried for Rock she was happy to have a few minutes alone with Sam now… Maybe to start her own family.
