Biography
It was a joyous day for the Lanam family. A new born baby boy has entered the world. And nothing could match the joy in both parent’s face. They had wanted a child since they were in there 20’s. Though sadly, they never had a child till they were well over there late 40’s. Finally, they had a child. It was like a dream come true, but even better!
Mr. Joseph Lanam is the father of the child. He was a wealthy merchant who sold random items. Someone would come to the Lanam Enterprise with a fresh new idea that would blow there mind away. So fat the enterprise is a success, but the winds will soon change.
Mrs. Kames Lanam is a very successful artist who sells her art all over the world. In fact, she was so good that one of her clients bought her art for 500,000beri. If that wasn’t an artist’s dream, then what is?
Both Mr. and Mrs. Lanam were too busy to do anything rather than their jobs. That is why it took them 20 years to make James. Kames and Joseph combined their name to create the name of James. And also, they love the name James, it was just a peaceful name.
As years progress from the birth of James, his parents began to slowly fade away from his memory. It was funny how James could remember the most significant moments with his parents. Times like how they went swimming, or the time when they went hunting. But there was one memory that stood out the most; it was the time when the Lanam family went on a picnic after all those years. James was 6 years old when it all happened.
The Lanam family was having a good time; James gave his parents his full attention and loving care. Everything was perfect, until a familiar ringing of Joseph’s dendenmushi started. He quickly answered the call and left the picnic mat. Kames was to follow after her dendenmushi rang, she gave James an apologetic look before going behind the trees.
This left James to himself; he was saddened by all the events, forgetting so set his guard up. A powerful man appeared from behind him, holding a napkin that consisted of a sleeping liquid of some sort. James fell asleep almost immediately after breathing in the substance.
The kidnapper had contact the family, holding James as hostage. The Lanam had no choice but to comply to the crooks demands, causing the Lanam family their fortunes. This led to Joseph’s indecent actions of barrowing money from other business. This led to an argument that happened in the hospital.
The next thing he knew, James woke up in the infantry, and his parents were outside his room. They were screaming to each other. “Why did you listen to them?” Kames screamed toward her husband. Joseph held his wife down from breaking anymore hospital furniture. “I had too! Or James would have been killed!” Joseph stated bravely toward his wife.
“But why did you have to borrow money from the rival companies! Now we owe them!” Kames struggled against her husband’s grip. “We needed the money! There’s nothing to worry about, we’ll work for all our depths and more!” Little did they know, James faintly heard there conversation, only hearing money, James, borrow and kill. This event was marked in his memory forever, which only appears when one of those words would come up in a conversation. It was known as a taboo to say any of those words in front of James.
That was the last of the memories with his parents, the next 11 years of James’ lonely life, his parents did not exist. They were too bust working, paying of the depths James gave the family. The kidnapper was never found after all, everyone believe the man to be dead so there was no investigation. Seems stupid for such a wealthy family to not gain anything from the tragedy, but it happened for the Lanam’s had no money. All they had left was the company but barely any money for leisure use. So Mr. and Mrs. Lanam had to work all the time to regain their industries to its peak. They forgot James, leaving him in the care of John the butler.
Now James reached his adult hood, where he had turned 20. He didn't enjoy such a leisure-full life and seek adventure. And the only way to do that is to forget about his blood and float in the waters. James was going to become a pirate.
And that he did, but he wasn't a full pledge pirate as for 8 years, he only explored the world and help out villages who needed it. It wasn't until he was 25 that James acquired the Irkyu Irkyu no Mi fruit, a strange merchant sold it to him. Now, James has become one of the most powerful being the planet. But with great powers, comes great responsibility.
