Ivy, I was really eclectic when I was your age. I kept finding a song I liked, looking for more music by the same band, and discovering that was their only good song, or at least the only one I liked.
The only band that that didn't really work for was Green Day, because so much of their music sounds totally different from other songs they've done. I kept finding a song I liked, looking up who did it, and finding it was Green Day. "Oh, that's by Green Day" became sort of a running gag.

Is that what you got out of "Fireflies"?
I got "It's okay to be a little childish, a little whimsical, even when the world wants you to be otherwise."
...also, I once encountered a spiritual entity who came to me in a cloud of bright green fireflies. I associate the song with that experience. I don't like talking about it because it usually attracts crazy people or makes people think I'm crazy. Or that I want to start up a caste system based on how much supernatural experience I've had.

I've seen a UFO disguised as a plane, and everyone always thinks I'm making fun of people that have "seen" UFOs. #notjoking

I think we all are debating that. We've all done the ones we feel are obvious for us, and are afraid we will rock less if we do songs that we're less familiar with.
I could see this moved to the games subforum. How do the other mods feel on the subject?
