Guardian Angels

General Knowledge:
The Guardian Angels have one sole purpose in their life, to protect and guide humans in their daily life. While they don't interfere directly with a human's daily life, any requested guidance (if they are able to give it), or any outside spiritual source that hopes to interfere with a human's life will be dealt with accordingly. Because of their close workings with humans on a daily basis, they are more "in tune" with a human's emotions then most other races.

Stages of Development:
"Birth":
Guardian Angels are formed after a person commits suicide, or otherwise has their life cut short with many regrets or sorrows still left in their mind. Under those circumstances, they have a chance to change into a Guardian Angel upon their death. It is known if someone has become a Guardian Angel for some spiritual pressure will be felt for a few seconds after the body's death, but the actual spirit will not be seen for a couple of days.

Virtues:
A Virtue is among the lowest of officially classified Guardian Angels, and are the youngest form of a Guardian Angel. Virtues bond to just about any human, often times one of the first ones they see, but more often then not they'll choose one that is, as well, spiritually aware if one is in the immediate area. Virtues are also more prone to bond with a child (age 3 to 5) and will stay with them until their death, wither it be from an accident or old age. Virtue Guardian Angels are more often then not the "Imaginary Friends" that children have, although as every general rule goes, there are always exceptions in which an Imaginary Friend is just an Imaginary Friend.

The human that a Virtue is bonded with is how a Guardian Angel starts to develope their abilities and what may cause that particular Angel first contact with it's own kind. A human's thoughts, emotions, and general outlook on life can help dictate what that Angel will look like in the future, and in daily life shapes it until he/she either forgets the Virtue is there, or until their thoughts no longer can shape the Angel (generally that's around 20 years of age, though there are recorded cases that document continued changes in physical appearance and abilities that lasted throughout the human's lifetime). However, these changes stop once the human has passed on, and will only happen again should the Angel bond again in the future.

A human who is bonded can ask and receive guidance or advice from a Guardian any time they ask for it, wither or not they are aware enough to know that the Guardian is there. A bonded human, regardless of their level of spiritual awareness, can hear the Angel that is attached to them, even if they themselves are not aware of it. In this way, the Guardian can help guide a human's life toward one of kindness and rightousness.

Of course, that is not always the case, as some Angels might try and twist the human's life into one that could lead them into thievery or murder. While these situations are usually rare in Guardian society, they can and do happen.

Powers:
After the death of a human that the Virtue is attached to, they ascend into the Power class Guardian Angel. Power Class are no longer developing their abilities, and are therefore now trying to get used to and control them. Power Angels are no longer a guiding voice in any one human's life, and instead resolve to protect them from spiritual disruptions that can disrupt their normal way of life, especially for those that are not spiritually aware. Because of this fact, many Power Angels after having gained some control over their abilities are quick to act to a disruption.

Power Angels are not afraid to team up with anyone to help take down a spiritual disturbance, though they prefer the help of their own kind. A Power Angel resolves to kill the spiritual disturbance at the first opportunity to keep the peace, unless that disturbance has been caused by a human, in which they hope to subdue, unless they have no other options. Shinigami's and Bount's are a different story, while there is some pause on wither or not they should kill them, should the danger be strong enough, they will not hesitate.

Dominions:
If a Power Angel bonds to a human, they will begin their transformation into a Dominion Angel. A Dominion Angel is further changed appearance wise (sometimes into something completely different to what they'd been before), as well they gain new abilities from the transformation (old abilities will not change or be taken away).

Unlike Virtue Angels, bonded Power Angels do not need to be attached to a human for their whole life time, and in fact, generally are only bonded to a human, of any age, as long as a problem that has caused them stress or depression remains in their life. Once the problem has been resolved, the Power Angel will officially ascend to Dominion Class. The odd thing about a Dominion Angel is that even when the bond is let go from a human, they will find they have a lingering, loose bond with them, and should that human become in danger, they'll rush to protect them, unless they too die of old age or some sort of disease/accident.

An Angel that has acended to Dominion Class is further distinguished then that of the Power Class, and just like the Power Class, younger Dominion Angels will often be trained by older ones, as there are new powers for the Dominion to get used to. However, a Dominion Angel often times finds that getting control of these new abilities are easier then it was to get used to the old ones, but as always there are exceptions.

Dominion Angels are often the first to respond to high risk situations, while it is less likely for them to work as a team, they are aware that some situations might call for it, and they will act accordingly.

'Rogue' Angels:
Rogue Angels aren't necessarily a rank so much as a title given to an Angel that has drifted from their instinctive need to guard human lives and lost it. Instead, they live their own life, wither it be against other Guardian Angels, destroying human lives, or attempting to live among other races. Rogue Angels are often considered dangerous, and known ones are killed on sight. However, there is no physical or spiritual difference in a Rogue Angel and a normal Guardian Angel of any rank, so a Rogue Angel could stand with Guardian Angels for decades or for a millenia without once drawing attention to themselves.

However, Rogue Angels have been known to accend ranks without bonding to humans. Guardian Angels are unsure as to how.

Archangels:
Archangels are at the top of Guardian development, and it should be said that the new Archangel doesn't appear everyday. A Dominion Angel that bonds to another Angel (of any class) will eventually become an Archangel. While the exact amount of time a bond holds two Angels together are unknown, the least amount of documented time in Guardian history has been a month. During this time, the Dominion Angel has an appearance change one last time, in which their features gained from both Virtue Class and Dominion Class are merged and expanded upon. In addition, this change carries one last addition to their abilities, a temporary merging of the two abilities into one, more powerful, destructive force. Unlike in the Power and Dominion Classes, Archangels generally learn on their own.

(Note: This does not have to take place in the time span of a human month. Only as long as the equivalent time passes should they be in a location with a distorted passage of time.)

Archangels are rarely seen in any emergency, and only go into the fight during extreme circumstances where even the Dominions in the area cannot take care of the threat. Archangels are the only ones that ever involve themselves in politics, especially where dealing with other races are concerned. Archangels are the highest authority among Guardian Angels and no Archangel has more authority then another. Archangels, however, do keep one of their own above themselves if only for at least a little structure, and that one is always the oldest Archangel class Guardian.

(Note: Rogue Angels that have gained Archangel class are often called "Fallen Angels".)

Government:
Guardian Angels have little in the way of a hierarchy, though in general, the order of authority goes like this:

Eldest Archangel
Archangels
Dominions
Powers
Virtues

While there is not a hierarchy, they do hold court. If someone is found to go against the nature and laws (as few as there are) of the Angels, it is then court is held. 1 Archangel and 3 Dominions are selected for court as soon as there's a trial.

Unlike democratic human courts, there is only the judges and the accused, and the accused must prove that they are INNOCENT. When it comes to the balance of power, the Archangel has the most power when selecting a ruling, however, in court, the equivalent of two Dominions have the same authority as 1 Archangel. So in order to sway the vote the other way, all 3 Dominions must have the same vote if any are against the Archangel.

Laws:
The only law that the Angels really follow is the murder, or assisted murder, against another form of sentient life. The most severe being against Humans or fellow Angels, those bringing the punishment of death. For other races, often times it's just jail time for 15 years. Continued practice results, however, in death. (They do not consider Hollows or Arrancar as sentient life, wither or not Vizards are is debatable and different for each Guardian.)

The purposeful neglect of protection of a human is also grounds for jail time. First offense is 20 years, while the second offense lasts 100 years. The third offense results in death.

Turning Rogue is punishable by death.

Jail time is far more effective on an Angel then a Human in the fact that extended time away from humans causes not only a decrease in a Guardian's power levels, but also an almost deprivation. Angels are reluctant to be away from humans. Rogues are generally exempt from this rule, and are the most likely to become repeat offenders as long as no one has realized they've gone rogue.

As there are situational cases to every one of these laws, some punishments might be lessened, or the situation might have resulted in little choice in those actions, and the charges dropped.

Kills that were made for the protection of humans do not count toward any of these laws, as they are often deemed 'necessary'.

Appearance:
A Guardian Angel's appearance is dictated by the human(s) that they have bonded with. This set, the humans can alter their appearance vastly. The Angel's apparent age, hair color, eye color, and skin tone could change, as well as the gainin of animal or mechanical parts including, but not limited to, cat ears, monkey tails, tiger claws, and arm cannons.

Upon a second bond with a human, their appearance can change further, in which new changes occur alon the same limits, wither erasing what had come before, changing it, or adding onto it. After the second bonding, Angels are rarely recognized from their former selves.

An Archangel's appearance is based off the bonds they had before their transformation. The theme of the first, and the theme of the second, are combined and expanded upon. For example, if they had a lot of monkey features as a Power, and a lot of mechanical features as a Dominion, then they'd combine and be expanded upon.

While the expansion of the features can vary, there might be an increase in length or size, or an increase in number of the selected part. The only exception to this is on the head, where if anything, they're only get bigger horns or something if they had horns on their head.

Equipment/Accessories:
All Angels carry at least one accessory, that is a jewel that is the birthstone of any and all humans they have attached to. Only when a human passes on will the birthstone form for the Angel. It is up to the angel to carry it as they please, either in a ring, a necklace, or a bracelet. Possibly even in a weapon. They keep it on them at all times.

Weapons and Armor are often times created from Sila (what other races might call "Reiatsu"). However, some opt to carry around actual weapons or armor. Weapons are more often then not swords or bows and arrows. Armor is always kept light (and generally fortified with Sila).

Not all angels need weapons at all, as they might have them on them "naturally".

Abilities:
As with their appearance, an Angel's abilities are often dictated or created from the humans in which they bond themselves to. The first level of this goes along with what goes along with their appearance. If the angel has wings, they have the ability to fly. If they have cat ears: they'll be able to hear as well as a cat. This includes mechanical add-ons as well, if they have a cannon on their back, they'll be able to fire from the cannon (though from the back would be kind of awkward).

From there, active abilities can differ. Any mechanical add-ons that function as a weapon, can be used as a weapon. This includes any 'natural' add-ons. Like stingers, claws, horns, etc.

In addition to physical features, these might be bolstered through elemental effects, transformations, summonings, etc. as long as these extras adhere to the theme of the physical form. (A natural based Angel cannot suddenly spout bullets from their arms, for example).

Angels that have bonded with two humans have two sets of abilities.

Techniques

The Chvat allows an Angel to move at extreme speeds, often times 'phasing' out for a brief moment before appearing at their chosen location a short distance away. This is the Angel version of Shunpo and equivalents. This is also a common evasionary tactic, and Chvat can be used quickly to dodge without moving to a new location. (However, there is recovery time between uses, it cannot be used constantly).

Ohrada creates a barrier around the Angel. However, while it can absorb any and all amounts of damage, it will shatter upon impact with any type of contact from the outside of the barrier. It is a common tactic for these barriers to be layered in order to protect against multiple attacks. Stronger attacks can delay the creation of a new barrier. It is impossible for Angels to attack through the barrier, or they'll shatter the barrier themselves (and every barrier they have to attack through).

Ochrana is a similar type of barrier, however these barriers are designed to keep things in and take an extraordinary amount of Sila to produce and break. These are commonly used for long term holding cells.

Dávat Takt yet another type of barrier. This one alters the flow of time within the barrier, allowing faster or slower time movement. This type of barrier can only be broken from the outside. (Time distortion makes doing it from the inside extremely difficult.)

(NOTE: All Barriers can be seen by the spiritually aware, they are colored the same as the Angels Sila, and are transparent.)

Krize creates a burst of Sila in all directions, pushing others away from them. While it does do damage, it is minimal, and is used to give the Angel some room to maneuver should their enemy (or enemies) be a little too close for comfort.

Klika draws in Sila from an opponent, causing them to be drawn toward the user. This is used to keep the opponent still-ish while they make their next move. Stronger opponents are more likely to break away, however.

Pohnutí Mysli is the instinctive ability of an Angel to know the emotions of humans around them. If the Angel is bonded, they can only detect the emotions of the human they are attached to.

Tuhost at it's very basic, it's the Angel version of a Gigai. Unlike Shinigami Gigai however, they use Sila to "solidify" themselves and causes them to appear human, even to the Spriitually Aware. While it's in use, because their using the Sila to produce the effect, their Sila is completely masked. (If they have the control, it is possible to use Abilities while using Tuhost, however, it won't be as strong.)

Castus is a healing technique that mends the wounds of the spiritual entity. "Wounds" in this case can include lost limbs, should the user have enough skill and Sila to perform the task. Combined with Tuhost, this skill can be used to heal the living (should the user be able to do so), however, regeneration of limbs and internal organs are not possible on the living.

Angels can store Sila in the birthstone(s) they carry, known to them as Narození Kámen. Capacity is generally 1/4 of the Angel's total Sila, and therefore cannot be used to completely boost their strength. It is unknown to even Angels themselves as to why stronger Angels can store more Sila in the same type of gemstones.

Ranks
SS-Rank: Eldest Archangel
The Eldest Archangel has the ability to use his/her ability to the fullest, as well as use all of the common racial techniques. While using Tuhost, each of the other skills are still usable at 40% strength.

They can layer up to 4 Ohrada, producing up to 2 at a time. (1 next post after being struck by an SS-Rank or S-Rank Attack).

The Eldest Archangel has two Narození Kámen.

S-Rank: Archangels
Archangels in general can have a great variance in the actual control of their ability, and it's proper use. They can use all of the common racial techniques.

While using Tuhost, each of the other skills are still usable at 25% strength.

They can layer up to 4 Ohrada, producing up to 2 at a time. (1 next post after being struck by an A-Rank Attack or higher.)

Archangels have two Narození Kámen.

A-Rank: Dominion Angels
Due to the fact that Dominion Angels have a second bond, they have two abilities. The amount of control they have of them can vary greatly from Angel to Angel. They can use all common racial techniques, though some might still have problems with Ochrana and Dávat Takt.

They can layer up to 3 Ohrada, producing up to 2 at a time. (1 next post after being struck by a B-Rank Attack or higher. 0 Next post if struck by an SS-Rank Attack.)

Dominion Angels have 1 or 2 Narození Kámen, depending on if a human they bonded with is still alive.

B-Rank: Power Angels
They have almost complete mastery over their single ability, due to the time they've spent learning it as a Virtue and time spent training with older Powers. They cannot use Ochrana, Dávat Takt, or Tuhost due to the Sila involved in their creation and use.

They can layer up to 3 Ohrada, producing up to 1 at a time. (0 next post should they be struck by a B-Rank Attack or higher.)

Powers have only 1 Narození Kámen.

C-Rank: Virtue Angels
Well adjusted Angels that have spent at least 20 years bonded to a human. They have varying amounts of control of their ability, depending on how long after the 20 years they've spent with the bonded human. They can only use Chvat or Ohrada if they learned it from a higher ranked Angel. They are unable to use other techniques.

They can form up to 2 Ohrada, producing up to 1 at a time. (0 next post should they be struck by a C-Rank Attack or higher.)

Virtue Angels do not have Narození Kámen.

D-Rank: Virtue Angels
Angels that have been bonded to their first human for under 20 years. They have little to no control (or even knowledge) of their abilities. If they've been seen by a B-Rank or higher Angel, it is possible for them to learn Chvat or Ohrada, but they aren't very strong. They are unable to use other techniques.

They can layer up to 1 Ohrada, they can only form two posts later after taking a hit.

E-Rank: New Born or Never Bonded Angels
Angels that have yet to have their first bond are in this category. At most, it only lasts a few days. Because they haven't had contact with a human, most Angels will not recognize them as an Angel, and they don't even know what they are. Obviously, they cannot use Techniques.
