So are characters only able to learn one skill at a time, or is it one per pool at a time or can you just learn ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING at once?

I've prepared a sample of text for this question:

Now, Doc's next post would be Breathe - 2/2 (if I chose to level that skill next post and didn't opt for Strike, which may come in more handy in the short-term). If I do that, do I gain the effects of that learned skill on THAT post, or does it take effect on the next one? In other words, will it be

Breathe - 2/2

or

Quote:

FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Breathe - 2/2

, followed by the third post being "*GAAAAAASSSSP*"?

Are there skills that automatically upgrade to a stronger variant skill when you change your classes?

(thus saving days needed to master the skill. For those who didn't bother learning aforementioned skill and went to learn something else, well, sucks to be them (is what I mean))

Bumping this thread because Meta asked a question in the dev thread with an answer I thought everyone would like to hear.

This system is very flexible and person/character-based, so if there's anything that isn't here that you might like for your character it can be requested and we'll see what we can do for you! It's a big improvement on v1 in all respects.
