I might increase the points they start with.
A ==> 700 S ==> 800 SS ==> 9000!! 1,000
How's that?

It looks better. At least there will be a large gap so that a C-ranked character doesn't trump the already SS one.

I have one worry here, and that's the fact that new people posted at C or B would be significantly weaker then people ranked C or B that have been here, say, a month or two and have gained a considerable amount of skill points.

THat makes a sort of sense. THose who have trained longer will of course be stronger. It makes more sense

While I do understand that part, I'm more saying that adjustments would be required to make sure that there wouldn't be a huge difference between two C rank characters to the point that someone starting at an E rank (hypothetically) wouldn't have more points tranferring into C rank then someone new going in at C rank.

Well, if someone at E-rank put all their points into Strength (50), and the C-rank put in 25, then of course the E-rank will be stronger physically.
I'm working on it all still.

Tonight is the night we become great!The Stars will show us the way! Grog was making a pretty good point there. Linear increase for upping the ranks is just... Not right. It's got to be kind of a curve in power. 3nodding
It's looking better, now that there are more people than just me putting some comments in. xD Tonight is the night we become Great! The Stars are what gave us away!

Lol thank God. So, so far I'm going with, as far as starting points go:
E ==> 50 C ==> 120 D ==> 250 B ==> 360 A ==> 550 S ==> 800 SS ==> 1200
Fair?

Tonight is the night we become great!The Stars will show us the way! I'm just wondering about the D, C and B ranks, Lan. It's not so much as increasing as a bump. Tonight is the night we become Great! The Stars are what gave us away!

Lanfaer Lol thank God. So, so far I'm going with, as far as starting points go: E ==> 50 C ==> 160 D ==> 320 B ==> 460 A ==> 640 S ==> 900 SS ==> 1400 Fair? What about now? E-ranks just shouldn't have almost anything, since you have literally nothing to start with.

Why does it go E, C, D. Isn't it supposed to go E, D, C?
Also, Lan. I know that someone who put all their strength in 50 even at a E rank would be stronger (physically) then a C rank. But that's not the point I was trying to make. I was talking about total distributed points in general.

After a certain number of points gained, Vuc, they rank up. For instance, to go from E to D you need 110 points. You need to reac that minimum in points. So you have to train your skills until you have attained 110 new points, at which point you become D-rank. So technically someone who trains as a E-rank to a D-rank will have the same number of points if the D-rank were to just start out at that rank.

Okay, one thing solved then (that was the whole problem I was trying to address XD). But why is it posted
E C D B A S SS
instead of
E D C B A S SS
?
