I have a suggestion of the guild! Dunno if I should be doing it like this, or through PM, but since I'm here...

I was thinking maybe we should have sub-topics for pet types, like Fish, Dogs, Cats, Livestock, Reptiles, Amphibians, and Small Pets (Birds, Rabbits, Mice, ect.) to help keep things together, and make it easier for the people who know more things about certain pets (like I'm best with Dogs and Fish), or for people who need help right away. I know first-hand how easy it is for threads to get lost on here, though when you try to find them, you do find some pretty intesting things lol So, yeah. Just a thought =3 Thank you for reading! blaugh

I like this idea.
It would make it a lot easier for me to stalk the threads I'm really interested in...

Looks like the guild has more than enough in the account, too.

This idea has been tossed around a lot. I'm still up in the air about it. My main concern is that the guild moves pretty slow, and separating everything into subforums would only make that more obvious. Also, what the heck would we do with the general forum if everything had its own subforum?

Perhaps use it as like updates and such? Or statements and news? I know that there are some news things that people have that I'm really not particularly interested in, and it's easy for important questions to get lost among the crap.

It would also make it easy for specializing. Like stated, certain people know a lot about certain topics. I could stalk the rodents sub-forum, while you stalk the dogs. Makes sense, yes?

Well being the owner I have to stalk everything, lol.

I don't know. I like the idea of everything in its own place, it appeals to my OCD. But at the same time, I think we would really lose that family feel we have going on- everyone off doing their own things would break up the guild and its regulars a bit. Part of the beauty of the guild is introducing people to different sorts of animals, and that wouldn't happen as often if everything was split. I doubt I would have gotten into fish had all of you not been posting about yours.

you know,I am in a few guilds like that, and they just...arent that active...I mean, you have to go through, and look through all the subforums,it does keep the main page alot cleaner, but it also jsut slows things down,I dunno why...

Its funny, 'casue all of that is true! While its easy fot thing to get lost, its also easy for other people to get into things that may not have wanted to previously. I never really thought about that.

Every one has made some very good points!

I might have just thought about it,ok,like when you enter this guild, you see a mess, yes, but its full of happiness and smiles and ":O and biggrin and !!!" but if you go into one of the ones with all the animal sub-forums,its like so pristine and clean, and its not really as welcoming...I dunno,I guess its just hard to explain...

Very true... I'm in a few /nonanimals/ guilds where there are tons of subforums. I don't touch a lot of them because I know I won't agree/be interested in the content, which is kinda nice. But on the same side it takes a bit longer for something to get noticed.

Granted that guild has well over 1,000 members.

I re-thought about it and I've decided I'm against it~
We would be split up more and wouldn't be a big pet family anymore. sad

I like everything together as well. I think it is well set up as it is. whee

It's still a good idea and if there were many, many more members.. Would probably be a good idea.
