"Sorry, force of habit... I don't know, I'm just glad that my serious past won't follow me." He was speaking about Zus, the first guy he ever kissed, his first friend, the catalyst for his... bad boy-ism, the one who nearly got him addicted to heroin. Zus was the epitome of Guerrilla, he was a fighter, he did everything he could to make those he didn't like burn. Once when they were 15 and sixteen Zus put a gun in a drug dealers mouth as a threat because he wanted his money. Zus Parker, the scum of the earth, when Micah tried to abandon him the first time, he left Zus' car with a broken rib and gashed leg, as long as he had people around him, he was sure Zus couldn't touch him. Micah's face had shifted into one of deep thought and worry. He knew Zus wouldn't come after him, or at least he thought so.

______________She saw that he left their conversation with an expression on his face of worry. She continued to run her fingers through his hair, as if it should comfort him, or herself even. What in the world had this boy gone through? She smiled again as an idea came up in her head.
"Hey Micah, teach me french. You are from France, right?"

Returning to reality he heard what Mae said and nodded, "I'm not the greatest teacher, but lets start off with the basics, word structure. What you have to know is that in French you do not, and I mean do not pronounce the last letter of your words, It is not Double entendre," he said dragging out the dre like a Dru. "It's double Entend," his fingers found their way plucking his strings in a calm near ukulele method. He didn't sing though, he just continued to explain to Mae some focal points of French.

______________She ruffled his hair when he started off with the basics. She just wanted to get to the good stuff, not start off at toddler level. She understood that it took time to build up the skill to speak such a language. A language of romance. Mae walked over to her guitar and picked it up to strap it on her back again, looking as if she were about to go somewhere, which she was. Home.
"Hey Micah, you hungry? I would love to have you come over and hang out for a while longer. My older sister is probably there, or Cade even. It's not far from here at all. I'm sure Mindy would love to meet you."

Micah stood up from the stump and nodded, he was rather hungry, he had just had his life threatened by a crazy girl, who had eaten his food without a simple thank you as well. He began to sing his voice seemed to completely become the song, as he strummed the guitar. He knew how to block out everything but his music. It was the one thing that kept him together, kept his soul from diminishing in the harsh winds of his life. His past rushed by him, his nights with his beloved, the beating by Zus, the good girls he ruined and the bad girls that ruined him. This song truly spoke to him, he was just making the same mistake every day. Just to hide the pain he was too weak to put up with.

♬ Rhapsody Skysong ♫ Golden brown hair streamed out behind Rhapsody as Donnas flew through the forest, dodging trees and bounding over logs like a deer. For a fiery and spirited horse he was graceful. But vicious and ill tempered at the same time. Rhapsody pulled lightly on the reins to have him ease up on the speed as they crossed a stream. She swore she could hear a guitar and a male voice somewhere around here. But did not dwell on that though as Donnas drank from the stream they had stopped at. Sunlight streamed through the canopies , giving the forest an ethereal air about it. Almost as if she had strayed into a dream.leaning forward, a delicate hand rubbed the powerful neck of Donnas as he drank his fill and continued down an unseen road.

_____________Spring 1st, Year 5
Being able to go outside again was bliss. After the events in her own home, she had been trapped and secluded to herself. Afraid to come out and meet others. She decided to start new again and push the past behind her. She was twenty one now and needed to act like an adult. Her bright blue eyes wandered around from tree to tree, to an animal, to shrubbery on the forest floor. It was all so beautiful and inspired her to dance. A beautiful tragedy came to mind. Aniela began alone, gracefully moving about. But after a while, she opened her eyes to see illusions. A dozen copies of herself, mirroring her own moved. She blinked a few times but the illusions were still there, and she continued to move. In her mind, she could hear an orchestra playing in their presence. It was an odd event for her, but went with it, feeling the warmth and comfort of it.

'Feh, maybe there is something in the water supply here,' thought the man as he watched the woman dance from afar. And to think that he had rushed over, thinking she was being chased by something! One could imagine how silly he felt upon discovering that her fleet movements were just part of an elaborate performance; one that only she seemed privy to. Leaning back against the trunk of a large tree, he sighed before lighting a cigarette. His pack made his posture awkward, but appearance be damned! He had just sprinted nearly a hundred yards after he seeing this crazy woman running between the trees! Surely though, a cigarette would hardly help him catch his breath? Heck no, but it made him feel a little better. Honestly, did these people expect the woodland animals to play nice if they pretended they were in a Disney movie? No. It was no wonder why some people got killed out here.
Allowing the dancer to finish her routine, the park ranger held his position, roughly twenty yards behind her. His cigarette was almost gone when she stopped. Straightening his posture, he cleared his throat deliberately, to be heard. "Pardon me, ma'am! Don't mean to interrupt, but could I suggest a little more caution on your part? Spring is a nice time to be out, but the animals are thinking the same, too. And not all of them are cute and cuddly critters."

_____________The sound of someone clearing their throat made her snap out of her fantasy wonderland. She lowered her leg to the ground and straightened her posture. How had she not noticed someone watching her? He had come to warn her of the forest creatures, which she found was silly of him.
"Thank you for your concern, but I haven't seen a soul out here. . but you."
At that last word, her eyes went left and right checking that it was still true. Her hand grabbed her arm to somehow, comfort her.
"Umm. . How long have you been watching me?"

He held his cigarette between two fingers as the woman reacted to his presence. She seemed almost scared of him, like a rabbit. So far she gave him no reason to be hostile, so didn't try to make any aggressive movements. Of course, every stranger he found out here made him wonder.. Was this the person that knew of his poaching activities out here? If so, Dimitri definitely would have a reason to be unfriendly. But, he received no impression that this woman knew anything out of the ordinary. "I've been told that I keep the animals away. As the park ranger, it's my job to minimize confrontations between Nirvani's residents and its wildlife," he replied calmly to her initial response.
When she asked how long he had been standing there, he shrugged, taking a drag on his cigarette. As he opened his mouth to speak, a small cloud of smoke rolled out from his lips. "Was just passing through when I noticed you. Just thought I'd stop by to make sure you're aware of your surroundings. Haven't had any deaths in the woods ever since I started two years back. I'd like to keep that record going, ma'am."

_____________A park ranger. That made her understand why someone else was wandering about, not stalking her or being mischievous. She felt a little safer now that she knew his profession. Since he had said that he was known to keep animals away, there should have been no problem with her being there. Then he spoke about deaths two years ago. Her lips thinned into a line being reminded her of nightmare. . Carlo and Damarko. . I wonder if they were connected to the park ranger's story.
"Well, thank you again."
Her eyes followed his hands raising the cigarette to his mouth and away a few times. The smoke flowing out of this man's mouth and nose like a puffing dragon. It made her a little sick in her stomach to watch. She snapped out of her daze and gave a little chuckle, feeling embarrassed.
"Are you asking me to leave?"
While she awaited his answer, Aniela gave a twirl on the tip of her toes, flexing her leg outward and back in to keep the momentum.

Dimitri simply nodded when she thanked him a second time. He thought it was unnecessary, but perhaps this woman was just overly polite. "No, I am not asking you to leave. By all means, feel free to explore. But again, please exercise some caution. I can't be everywhere at once." Her spin was a little distracting, and once again he wondered if she had slipped into her own little world. She appeared to know what she was doing, though. A professional, then? Come to enjoy the peace of the forest? How odd. He had always assumed such well trained people were pampered, and whiny. Much like a show dog.
"In any case.." he said firmly, to try and reign in her attention if she had forgotten about him. "It's been a pleasure, but I must be moving on." Placing his cigarette back in his mouth, he gave the woman a polite wave of his hand before readjusting the pack on his back.
