Roka stood still in the mass of people at the Food Court. He rested his hand on the peach stroller that held his scaled infant Cornelius. Ignoring the odd glances from people around him, Roka smoothed out his white clothing in preperation to meet his long-lasting pen pall.
"Don't worry, little one," Roka said softly to Cornelius, pushing back and forth the carriage softly. "She will come soon."

...And, thankfully, the said pen-pal was not too far way, seated with a portion of her family on the opposite side of the food court. Just... preoccupied.
Phantom blew a bright pink lock of hair from her eyes, a frown painting her face. "Hilian, I can't believe you!"
"What'd I do this time?"
Cameo tugged at her mother's sleeve insistantly, a sippy cup in hand. "Mum!"
Her mother, however, only patted her head offhandidly, and continued to berate Hilian. "You forgot the ketchup!"
"Ketchup?!" Cameo's 'uncle' ran a hand through his hair, sighing. "You don't even like ketchup."
"I like ketchup." The purple haired boy seated next to Cameo inserted softly, but to no avail, for the adults continued to argue. Jaque, the boy, glanced at his 'sister'. "Cam, they not listnin' to us."
Cameo groaned and flopped back into her seat, disheartened, sipping her juice slightly. "Mmm," her green eyes fell onto her youngest brother, Asha, who was picking at his cheerios slightly. "Wha' we gonna do, Jaque?"
The elder of her younger brothers picked at his slice of pepperoni pizza. "Muma's taking a longlong time, so," as he pulled at the cheese so that it stretched thin as string, he tilted his head, "we c'n go lookin' for that person Muma was suppose to meets. He's probably wait'n longlong time too."
Cameo tilted her head to match her brother's. A reasonable suggestion, she supposed, and Phantom was taking a long time, but... "We take Asha too, 'kay?" The said small infant looked up at the mention of his name, spitty cheerios half stuck into his mouth.
After a moment, Jaque nodded dully. "Bu' you carry him thi' time, mmhmm?"
Her reply was a prompt 'Mmhmm' before she set her sippy cup on the round table and hopped off her seat. Sadly, her mother was still wrapped up in that pointless arguement of hers (Phantom slapped her hands down on the table, leaning over slightly. "Honestly! I swear!" | Her uncle raised his hands in his defense, shaking his head. "I didn't, do anything!") but that allowed Cameo ample time to slip Asha out of his booster seat. However, despite him being an infant, Asha was still heavy and Cameo stumbled under her infant brother's weight as she fumbled to organize him in her arms.
"Chee'o!" Asha garbled, reaching for his small baby-proof bowl of dried cereal. Cameo groaned slightly. There was no way that she could carry her brother and his snacks at the same time!
Thankfully, Jaque reached around her and snatched the container quickly. "We go," he said quickly, giving Asha a infant-sized handful of cheerios, "now." Cameo nodded, smiling.
So, she stumbled off, Jaque right behind her. After all, even though Cameo could walk without falling over every three seconds, carrying Asha's weight gave cause for her balance to be off. Jaque, although younger, would be able to catch her if she tumbled backwards.
But abruptly Cameo stopped, only just out of sight of her mother. "Jaque?" She asked suddenly, turning around to look at the boy.
"Mmhmm?"
"What does this guy look like, anyways?"
Jaque paused, and then blinked. "Uhhh..."
-
And back at the table, Hilian turned his head aside from Phantom, blocking out the finishing touches of her pointless arguement, only to notice something seriously amiss. "Phantom?"
"And seriousl-- What is it?"
"Where are the kids?"
"...s**t."
Phantom really needed to keep a better eye on those three.
((-hides under her looong first post- Sorry that took so long! ^^;; ))

Roka stood silently, watching the crowds for a girl with pink hair and tanned skin. However, the mob of teenagers enjoying their weekends blocked any such person from Roka's line of sight.
Sighing, the white-clad man decided to sit at an oddly geometric table with a bright plastic top. He swiveled around his stroller so he got a good look at Cornelius, who was resting his large, golden eyes, apparently oblivious to his chaotic surroundings.
"I got stuck up, didn't I?" Roka asked his infant quietly. Chuckling softly at Cornelius, Roka leaned back, continuing watching the crowds. Over to his right was a young girl with ... green hair? Purple skin?
'Man, young people these days and their fashions ...'
After a short while, Roka wrapped his body more tightly in his snowy-white cloak, intent on waiting to see if his pen-pal was one of the drops of people in this sea of teenagers.

"Ah-" Phantom cursed colorfully under her breath as the same group of teenagers that had obscured Roka's vision at the same time obscured hers from any sight of her daughter or her sons. "Hilian," she said sharply, turning to him quickly, "I'm going to go find them, can you watch the table for us?" It shouldn't take long to find them, after all. They couldn't have gone too far. Right?
Hilian distantly waved chopsticks, indicating he understood, and Phantom at once began making her way through the mob of teenagers. The older man sighed, picking at his paper plate of orange chicken and rice slightly. His eyes flickered to the small backpack that hung of the edge of Cameo's previous chair. Honestly, that girl can be so much trouble.
Speaking of, the grape Sin'aeis and her brothers had mutually decided (at least Cameo and Jaque had; Asha just babbled nonsensically and sucked on cheerios) that this person their mother was supposed to be seeing must look rather lonely. They're mother was taking such a long time! So surely this must be the case!
"--Hey lookit, Jaque! I's a ba~aby!" Cameo, who at the mere glimpse of a stroller had bolted over (nevermind politeness or that concept of 'personal space'), knelt infront of Cornelius' stroller. Asha was balanced on knee, gripping his toddler-sister's dress for balance. Cheerily, Cameo smiled. "He~ey, you've got scales, too! Aww! I got hooves, see!" She attempted to click them together, but with the weight of her brother (and the position of squatting) she could not, and had to be balanced by Jaque behind her.

Roka's eyes flew open in shock as he saw that purple-haired girl run up to Cornelius and try to show him her - wait - hooves? That was very fascinating!
Feeling very curious, Roka looked down at the girl, and saw that she, in fact, had hooves. Wow. His shimmering eyes focused closely onto the girl, then realized (much like a delayed reaction) that a stranger just came up to his infant. Before he could oppose, however, he saw his little baby stir. 'Oh no, if Cornelius cries, not that I have heard him do so, then I will be very embarrassed. Please, do not cry!'
Cornelius woke up, then looked at the stranger, a smaller stranger on her knee, and a taller stranger behind the purple-skinned girl. And they were all looking at him. His golden eyes spread open very, very far, and a small smile creped up his face. A wide grin burst from this smile, and his mouth opened wide, showing deep into his throat.
"Grasssha!" Cornelius cooed, his arms suddenly flailing in the air. His cozy seat shook with the force of his heedless movements. However, instead of a violent motion, these actions seemed almost like a wide-spread greeting.
"Cornelius!" Roka laughed, watching his little baby's odd reaction. He has yet to see such spontaneous actions from him yet, and that was reassuring. Ever since Roka received Cornelius, he had hardly heard a peep from that cute, small mouth. He had hardly seen discomfort on that scaly, tanned face. He had hardly seen any reaction at all. If this continued, Roka would have brought in his infant to Cousin Ralf, the doctor.
"Excuse me, I believe Cornelius likes you, or he thinks you are worth flailing about. I am not sure, but it is a good sign, I assure you!" Roka exclaimed to the purple-skinned, green-haired, hoofed little girl in front of him.
