As the door was thrown open and the pair of them were bathed in the golden light of the outside, Luthe could of sworn for a second that there were sparkles around her. “You are certainly one of the most beautiful and determined ladies I’ve ever met,” he managed.

”I can’t really blame you for staying here,” Luthe continued following her. “It is an enchanting world and so rich in magic. I can’t imagine the energy it must take to sustain it.”

”But there must be a source?” Luthe looked around. They now seemed to be in some sort of courtyard area surrounded by high hedges. A more natural area it seemed but still, the air practically buzzed with energy and magic.

He grinned apologetically, “It helps me think. I’m trying to figure this out…I mean, your magic is all around you – what is it exactly that’s keeping you from controlling it?” He added quickly, “Aside from your brother. Which also puzzled me, how can one magic user deny another one. Unless he’s, you know, ungodly more powerful than you are…”

”Headhunters…” she muttered shoving back a panel that led to a lush jungle environment. She was not happy about this part of the expedition. Ever since she was a child those things just gave her the creeps.
