The location was "a gloomy dungeon in the basement of the castle..." it might later be used as a classroom but for now it was a cheap place to gather ingrediants for those who would rather save thier funds for later visits to Hogsmeade or longer ones to the Alley. some text used from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hogwarts.Eliza was there to do both, not to mention getting over her own fear of deep dark places. Perhaps an "aftershock" of all the floods of the southern USA she had lived through but she knew it had to be faced -sometime. And the best way seemed to be running at full force, as before she had talked one of her classmates into going with her and tagging him made the mood a lot less...foreboding...

Severus wandered around in the dark of the basement, feeling his way around. "Eliza? Where are you? It's really dark down here..." He cast Lumos and peered around in the gloomy room. Several cobwebs hung in the corners. But there was no sign of anyone except himself. "That's odd... I was sure she wanted to come down here. Unless it's a trick... Maybe James talked her into doing this..." He shook his head and started climbing back up the stairs. "She actually seemed nice for awhile."

Eliza realizes Snape had gotten ahead of her somehow. Even the two years on the track team back home didn't match up to someone who knew the grounds. Nearly "running" into him on the way down she has a little scare by not expecting him to still be there. Oh there you are! She was glad the dark hid her blush and relief in being glad to still see him. Are you ready or should we shed a little light on the subject? Eliza didn't know if they should use the spell on thier wands but just in case, she also had a flaslight tucked into her belt - under her robes. Still to be in the dark, might be an adventure - especially one who went anyway - despite his apprehension...

Severus jumped, startled by Eliza's voice. He brought his wand near where he heard the voice, and there was Eliza, standing there, in a position that suggested she almost ran into him. "Hmm. I wonder how I got here first." He scratched his head. "Anyways, what ingredients did you need? I'll get them in a jiffy."

Eliza was glad for Snape's help and wishing she could refer to her notes but instead tries to remember what would be more trouble to get on her own. Some moss...maybe a little toad slime and an old spider's web - laughs. Almost like out of the Shakespear poem isn't it? Wondering how she'd repay him - first for helping her with the ooze and now to helping her with some "dirty work".

Severus chuckled. "No problem. We're out of spider webs but I can probably just pick some off the walls." He disappeared down the stairs. Various clanking noises disrupted the silence. "By the way, who's Shakespeare?"

Not knowing how much influence or regard Snape had for the "others" that shared thier world, Eliza felt she had to choose her words carefully. A muggle who was considering by many to be a great writer of plays and songs...of course the rest claim he just stole the ideas and writings of another - She didn't know which side to belive. It wasn't like she was at court when the decision was made. What she did know was until the flood, most schools taught at least one play per year - and it was difficult to understand what was being said. Still - it was something to aspire towards -to *never* be so complex as to confuse the students supposed to be enjoying ones work! Eliza whispers the spell that lit up the tip of her wand - she didn't want a spider to bite Severus - the webs were supposed to be abandoned anyway.

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ ┗━━━━━━━━━┛ Severus hmmed. "That's quite interesting, actually. I wonder if they have any books about him in the librairy." He continued to rummage through the jars. "Aha! Moss! I knew we still had some! Not a very common ingredient, you know!" Severus walked over to Eliza. "Here you go. A vial of toad slime, a jar of moss, and a few old spider webs!" He handed her two jars and a vial.

Just then Sirius came down into the dungeons behind them when he saw them he turned around and went into a different corridor and circled around behind them to listen to their conversation while planning what to do to annoy Snape.

Eliza accepts the ingrediants happily; tucking a foot behind the other and bending slightly - a curtsy - she smiles up at Snape. Thank you kindly for your assistance. If it looked corny - it was supposed to be! She was trying to make him laugh as part of her gratitude.

Eliza smiles...trying to anyway, feeling the gesture was wasted but at least his kindness wasn't - I guess so too, thank you Severus - I hope I'll run into you again She reaches out a hand to lead herself back up the steps, spilling some of the slime; it ozzed around the corner Good thing we're both done here for now Eliza thinks. That stuff before it congeals would be very slippery!

Sirius walked back up stairs saddened that he didn't see his plan come to fruition but he kept in the back of his mind to see it happen another day.

┏━━━━━━━━━┓ ┗━━━━━━━━━┛ Severus made his way up the stairs. He paused, having heard Black's footsteps. But he then convinced himself it was only his imagination and continued up to Hogwart's first floor.
