just look it up yourself
PostPosted: Tue Aug 31, 2010 6:34 am

um...why? you kinda gotta explain it more than that if you actually want people to seek it out. just saying that does not motivate me to look. for all i know it could end up being some conspiracy waste of me time, ya know?

Unfortunately this sounds like something straight out of a Dan Brown novel so no, almost nobody would be compelled to look it up. Luckily I have free time while procrastinating work, so:

Quote:
The Codex Alimentarius Commission was created in 1963 by FAO and WHO to develop food standards, guidelines and related texts such as codes of practice under the Joint FAO/WHO Food Standards Programme. The main purposes of this Programme are protecting health of the consumers and ensuring fair trade practices in the food trade, and promoting coordination of all food standards work undertaken by international governmental and non-governmental organizations.

My questions are, so what of it? Are you for it or against it? What are you saying by posting this?

And you never maybe thought that people have a hard time taking you seriously, because you make threads with little to no direction, or point?

It's not the only reason, but it's one of many things that you do that makes it hard to take you seriously.

kegan i hate you, ill be brutally honest.

i gave the name of the law in progress. its related to health stuff. but instead of posting links that are solely my side i says "screw it.let them go see what it is."

cause idiots like you who put your trust in all the wrong places, well ugh. stare

so kegan yes I really dont like you, please dont ever talk about me agian, since you cant find facts that suit what you want to believe, you insult me as a person. and im not gonna take this much effort to talk about you hence forth. if i debate you it will be solely quotes and links.

To be honest, I had no idea, and I still don't have much of an idea about what's so bad about "codex alimentarius".
I was actually originally going to point out that a good thread does not just mean putting a link up, but also describing about it.

And hoshioni, you're acting all butthurt just because you didn't elaborate. I don't mind new information and stuff, and I don't take anyone less serious than the next until they show proof why they're not serious, but when you just post a wikipedia link, or not even a link, you just say "Look it up" - things get a little vague.

its a horrible sercertive food regulator peoples. who want to make massive restrictions on what you can put in you. and three "legit" none anti new world order places

and i dident post links cause mine never seem to be good enough. you people only seem to care about health food issues, so maby this one will have an impact.

I don't look for facts that support what I believe. I look for facts, so that I have something to believe.

I don't seek your adoration, and I owe you only courtesy. I suppose I don't even expect it to be returned.

facts arent always convenient though, or easy to understand.

and i dont mind being wrong. i honestly dont care.

That one post just totally put the last piece into the "puzzle that is Hoshioni," for me.

Wow.

There they go, fluttering away in the digital winds: Shreds what was once the benefit of the doubt.

What a burden off my mind.

a) 1963 is not "new"
b) food regulation, to a degree, is good. my guess is that you've never read Upton Sinclare's "The Jungle"
c) no one can regulate what you put in you body, even if they legislate it you can grow it yourself. if you wanted to eat anthrax bad enough, nothing on this planet could stop you. if you want fennugreek bad enough nothing will stop you. laws are ephemeral concepts that do not bind. remember that.
