And how would you go about doing it?
My so called friends have turned into shitty backyard breeders.
Their pitbull that they got for her 7 yr old son last xmas is in her first heat and my stoned friend said that hes gonna breed her when she turns 1 yr old. I said "there is no good reason to breed her" and was about to list all the reasons when he said "i wanna make money off the puppies". stressed stressed stressed
His wife (my friend for 26 yrs) now is letting her 2 intact female cats outside. When i went over the other night one of them had a litter of kittens a couple weeks ago. The other one she said takes off for 3-4 days but always comes back. I have effin told her that coyotes, cars, diseases will do them in mighty quick. burning_eyes
They got a third kitten from his sister n law who is pissing and shitting under the stove. They told me they keep the litter box clean. Which i know damn well is a lie. Both of them are lazy as ********. Plus they only put in a quarter of an inch of litter in the box. I have repeatedly told them it has to be deeper.
They also dont have a diaper garment on the dog and i saw blood spots on the floor and they let her up on the furniture.
Reporting them won't do anything since the animals have shelter, food, and water. Albeit the cheapest food there is. The dog isn't emaciated but shes not a good looking pit because of the crappy food.
Im not getting through to them. Every time they invite me over they are either stoned, drunk, or both. I just want to cut off all ties. I get nauseous and stressed out because of their ignorance.
I just don't want to just stop talking, i want to tell them why i am severing ties in a mature, calm manner. I am just bad with words.

I would tell them flat out what kind of crap they're doing. What kind of examples they're setting for their kid(s).
Point out that a C-Section is going to take up a lot of money, and that 'breeding for money' is nothing when you have to pay for 16 puppies worth of food (you can never guess litter size), pee pads, and medications.
When talking about ending a friendship, make sure to point out the flaws in the relationship and how stressful for you it is.

Oh god that's horrible! Maybe you should confiscate the animals away? If they won't listen to reason I say it's time for drastic measures!

I can not take on 8 cats and a pit bull. Plus it wouldn't solve anything. They know where i live and if someone did steal them they would just go get more.

I would go into one final rant about how breeding for money is unacceptable when so many thousands of pets die every die for lack of homes. Especially with a breed popular with dog fighters and other low lifes that will neglect and abuse the dogs they sell em. Then just flat out say that being friends with them is too frustrating and you don't want to know about all the terrible things they do anymore.

Also if you could somehow do it, talk to the customers about how they're not professional and don't know very much about breeding. Inform them that the puppies may have health problems and maybe try and convince them to buy from a shelter. If it happened to me, I'd rant about how unacceptable it is. If they kept insisting on doing it I'd tell them they're selfish, greedy and I don't even want to know about them anymore. Especially with a pit gonk You need to know what your doing with breeds that the media labels as dangerous, so you can help build a good reputation up for the breed. Hopefully they'll decide not to. Even if it's because they're just to lazy.

They are not customers. They don't even go into the store i work at, they buy all their pet stuff from walmart and the dollar stores.
He just texted me asking what age can a male pit bull breed.
I responded "they can breed at 6 months, however both male and females shouldnt be bred until they are atleast 2 yrs old and can have OFA testing done."
He asked what is OFA. I said "health testing"
Then he responds "oh ok, thanks, i was just wondering because wer are about to buy a male companion for Bella cause she's lonely. Shes already had her first heat."
I then replied that i need to talk to them both. And that they need to be sober and not stoned.
He goes "about what?"
I go "about your backyard breeding operation and our friendship"
So we agreed upon wednesday night.

i supose that telling them with all the vet visits it will be near impossable for them to break even when breeding their dog
im sorry but i really hate people like that. i much prefer the byb's who breed just because puppies are cute and arent just trying to make a quick buck. if i was you i would probably break off all ties to them.
i have a somewhat friend who has over 7 cats, all intact. they breed and breed and she is always too drunk off her a** to do a damn thing about it. i hardly ever see her anymore because i cant stand her. i only even talk to her every few months
and if a dog is lonely then you need to spend more time with it, you dont need to buy another dog. thats a shitty excuse. although my vet recomended i buy another dog for bear when she was chewing on her foot out of boredom, but he is an idiot and seems determined that i waste my money

Wednesday night is when i arranged to meet with them. Hopefully i get back from my vet tech picnic that is at 5pm and they are still available for the sit down. On my way to and from college i saw 3 dead cats on the side of the road in various locations. I so very much wanted to take pics to shove in my friends face to show her one of the reasons cats need to be indoors.

I wish you the best of luck with that conversation. It isn't going to be easy. And for the record, if the dog is bleeding I think you can still make a case with the officials. They might not take the pets away, but they could at least pass bye and give them a stern talking to. Maybe it will help.

There are no neutering laws unfortunately in new york and i don't even think there are limits as to how many cats and dogs you can have.

I think theyre under the impression that the dog is injured, not in heat....
