Joshua Collins Before he could strike and watch the light leave Linda's eyes, Joshua heard voices, and they were beginning to come closer.
"s**t..." he muttered, and picked Linda up, slinging her over his shoulder. She started to struggle immediately, but he merely ignored her as he sprinted away from the group, maintaining a tight grip on her. She went limp before he had even reached his destination, a small cave, hidden in a small swampy area. Throwing her down, he jolted her awake, and she gave a muffled yelp through the gag he had on her. It had taken him the better part of two hours to get there, especially since he had been laying false trails to throw her companions off. "Now that there won't be anymore distractions, I am going to kill you. And maybe I can take my time with it. I want to see the suffering in your eyes..." he growled. Seeing the fearful look in Linda's eyes, he chuckled. "I like your eyes... Fear me Linda... I will be the last thing that you see!" He had been trying to keep himself quiet, but the last sentence came out as a shout, breaking the silence of the swamp and sending crows flying. Knowing that he must hurry, he slid his knife from its sheath and started to advance upon Linda, wanting to take his time and make her die in terror, but needing to just kill her and watch her soul fly into his grasp. For when he was done killing her, he wouldn't let her go free. No, she would become his slave for all of eternity...

Riku Itsuki Amakura All night staring at the ceiling Counting the minutes I've been feeling this way So far away and so alone (()) It had been two hours since he left the group to scout ahead. He did not know why it had taken him so long. Maybe it was because he wanted to be away from everyone. Maybe it was because he wanted to be throe in his observations. Either way, Riku was just starting to make it back to where the group had been. However, as his red orbs looked around him, Riku realized he was not going the right way. s**t! Am I that out of it that I don’t even know where I’m going? An annoyed sigh left his lips as he continued moving forward. A swamp lied before him. It reeked of the mold and algae that liked to surround these kinds of places. Crows rested on the tree branches as he continued to move across the land. Like any normal swamp, the land was harder to come by than water. The pond size basins of greenish water lied on both sides of the path as he continued to move in the general direction he was post to go. After all, Riku needed to get back to the group. Because if he didn’t, the assassin knew bad s**t would happen. It always seemed to when he decided to try and be useful, or try to find some time to relax. Why can’t I ever catch a break? His fingers rubbed his temple as his eyelids moved to cover his red orbs from the world around him.
However, they did not stay there long as a shout rang through the forest. Crows flew off at the noise as Riku frowned to himself. The voice was instantly recognized by the assassin. Instead of panic, his throat let out a groan. “Really?...Reaaalllyy? God! Can’t that guy just shove his stupid pride up his a** and leave us alone?” But, Riku couldn’t help but roll his eyes as he ran across the trails of land that crossed the eerie swamp. This was the third damn time in two days that he had to save Linda! What, had she become a damsel in distress type while he wasn’t looking? Did she suddenly lose the common sense of a warrior? Had she become a less fierce Linda that allowed herself to get captured? That was not the Linda he knew. Then again, the revengeful Linda wasn’t the faerie he knew either. What has changed? What did I miss? Riku knew there was the obvious, such as the death of Dominick. But, were there other things that had happened to her that changed her? His mind thought about the fact she had gone and killed her parents. Could that have turned her into a weakling? No, that would have made her colder if anything. So, what happened? Guess I’ll find out soon enough.
Eventually, Riku found the entrance to a small cave nearby. His lips curled into a smirk as he walked calmly and quietly towards the possible hiding place of the nuisance and Linda. Better make this quick. I’ve allowed him to live two times now…It’s about damn time he dies…Thus, the assassin moved his fingers, causing the hidden blades to extend from their resting place. His hand could feel the coolness of the blade. He could feel it itching for the blood of the man that kept coming after Linda. And, who am I to deny my blades the right to his blood? His eyes shimmered with dark intentions as he made his way inside the cave. Red pools looked to see the nuisance approaching Linda with a knife in his hands. The terror in his lover’s eyes did not faze Riku. To him, this weakling wasn’t the one he had fallen in love with. In his current mood, Riku felt tempted to just let her die by the man’s hands. However, his blades wanted his blood. Well, more like the assassin wanted him to die for being so damn annoying! Thus, Riku coughed loudly, announcing his presence to the man. “You know, you don’t know when to quit do you?” His expression almost turned bored as he moved forward. “I almost feel sorry for you, because I’ve allowed you to live twice now. Both times was a foolish mistake on my part…”
His footsteps were silent as he approached the male. His muscles were relaxed too, giving off an aura of not fearing the man before him. Admittedly, if anything, Riku could only feel anger towards the male. He almost had killed Linda, and was now getting on his nerves! If there was one thing no one wanted to do, that was piss off an assassin. Because unlike most, Riku knew way too many ways to kill a person. Many of them being ways most would not even think possible. And as his eyes looked over the nuisance, the assassin let his mind wonder to all the ways he could end the male’s life. “So, this time, you will die.” His voice held only confidence as he got into a stance. “How to kill you though….That shall be the enjoyable part…” His mouth formed into a grin full of malice and deviousness. “You see, I could just stab you in the head or stab you right where your heart is…But, I think you lost the right to such an easy death. Don’t you agree?” The tones coming off him were almost too cold, making the assassin appear like he had lost his mind. In some ways…Riku already had. “I could decapitate your head off too…Hmmm, but that wouldn’t be enough pain for you…Oh no no no, you deserve as much pain as I can inflict unto that weak cowardly body of yours.”
Riku pulled his wrist back, allowing the blade to shine from the little bit of sunlight that was able to reach into the cave. “And don’t worry…You don’t have to doubt my words…If there is one good trait about me…it is that I keep my promises.” The assassin almost felt like being creepy and licking his own blade. But, Riku was not that far gone. His insanity was more his coldness towards death. That he could enjoy inflicting pain on others when he felt they deserved it. Other than that, the assassin’s mental state was a lot better than most. Then again, that depended on how one viewed the fact he liked inflicting agony unto the ones that pissed him off to no end. “But, I’m not one to draw things out…So, let’s just get your death over with so I don’t have to deal with your stupid a** face anymore.” Just because Riku wanted to get the ‘death’ over with, didn’t mean he wouldn’t try to inflict the maximum amount of pain possible. Thus, Riku grinned sadistically as he ran at the male, reading himself to kill the male before him. There's no way I'm giving up this time Yeah, you know I'm right here I'm not losing you this time.

Joshua Collins Joshua yanked Linda in front of him, keeping a tight hold on her even though her frantic struggles made him nearly drop her a couple of times.
"Go ahead, kill me. She'll be in between me and you the entire time." Linda's eyes grew determined, even though he wasn't able to see it. Glaring at Riku, Linda seemed to scream at him to go through her to get to Joshua. She was still terrified of the man that was bruising her arms, but she was determined to get away this time. Joshua, meanwhile, had pulle dher even closer to his body, making sure that she covered him fully, a perfect meat shield. Laughing, he levered his own blade at Riku, very close to Linda, as if to kill them both with one swipe.

Linda
Linda had felt something click into place in her mind. It was that presence again. That same horrid presence. She felt herself growing angrier, even though she was not angry at all. She felt the blood lust that had overtaken her when she had killed her parents. For some reason, she wanted blood, her blood, and she wanted it spilled onto her own hands. Brushing up against Joshua's knife, she cut off her bonds, then whirled on him and knocked his knife out of his hands. The blade sliced her palm open, but she didn't even flinch, and her eyes met his. Her eyes were not her own though, and appeared that of a possessed person. Joshua started to back up as she advanced upon him.
"No, m'lady, I didn't mean to, please!" the man pleaded desperately. A cold voice not her own seemed to speak through Linda's lips, forcing them to move with each sultry word.
"I gave you ample time Joshua, and you have botched it every single time. I even went so far as to make this woman weak for your taking. You can't even get rid of a simple female. This wench has gotten the best of you even while I have had her weakened. No, you cannot survive any longer!" the voice said. It was feminine and masculine in the same breath, cold and spine tingling. Linda's body stepped forward, her hands reaching for Joshua's neck. Taking her neck into his hands, she broke it and turned back to Riku, her eyes still possessed. Closing her eyes, she opened them again, and was once again Linda. Taking a step forward, she stumbled, but stayed upright.
"Riku...?" she asked, thoroughly confused. "I feel like I'm waking from a dream... Where am I?" Wincing as she felt a breeze blow again her palm, she looking down and frowned at seeing the wound there. Tearing some clean strips of cloth from her skirt, she bandaged her hand and then looked around. "This place reeks. Let's get out of here," she added, not even waiting for an answer before she left the cave. She was still incredibly confused as to how she had ended up there, but didn't want to BE there any longer.

Riku Itsuki Amakura All night staring at the ceiling Counting the minutes I've been feeling this way So far away and so alone (()) He stopped his run as the male pulled Linda in front of him. That changed his strategy entirely. For before, Riku had planned to run straight at him, stabbing him in the heart and head. His moment of insanity had washed over him like rain running off skin. The urge to inflict more pain than one would think humanly possible had left him. Now, it was transformed into pure annoyance as the male struggled to keep Linda in his grip, stating the already obvious fact. He is resorting to a cowardly move. Should have known he would have done that. A small sigh left his lips as he stood up. Muscles still relaxed as Riku noticed Linda glaring at him. The assassin almost rolled his eyes at her as he tried to come up with a new strategy. However, red orbs blinked as he noticed she was trying to give a message through her eyes. One that he caught almost instantly. His head seemed to tilt down in thought; his way of showing her he had heard her message. With her permission, I can now run at him. His feet moved back to do so as the male moved Linda in an effort to make her the perfect meat shield. As his blades moved back as well, Riku noticed the male levering his own blade at him. A small growl left his lips as he noticed what the male’s plan was. Coward.
Once realizing what the male intended to do with that knife, Riku knew what strategy to use. He would run at them, his blades extended behind him. Then, when the male expected him to slash at him, the assassin would duck down and slide. It would knock both Linda and the male off balance. However, with his nimble legs, Riku would shoot back up into a standing position. Before the male’s arm would hopefully recover from the shock, he would grab it and break his wrist. That way, the male wouldn’t be able to hold the knife. After that, Riku would have pulled Linda away from the male and pinned him. Once pinned, Riku would give no time for him to even scream as he slashed him across the throat. There were some flaws to the plan. One such flaw was what if the male expected that kind of attack? What happened if his arm did not extend out in surprise of the sudden loss of footing? What if the male was able to kill them both? However, the assassin would have to risk it to save his lover. At least, that had been his plan.
As he started to move towards them again, something happened. Red orbs looked towards Linda as she brushed up against his knife. His lips curled into a smirk as he stood there and watched as Linda cut the bonds off her. This was more the Linda he knew. The one that could easily get herself out of any situation. Thus, the assassin allowed himself to enjoy the show as she whirled around and knocked the knife out of the nuisance hand’s. Admittedly, Riku didn’t even cringe at the slight of the blade opening up her palm. However, the fact she did not cry out was slightly off. But, the strangeness of that was brushed aside as Linda turned to face the male. He assumed she was about to kill the male. She did have the right to considering the male had kidnapped her three times now. Unfortunately, it was not going to be that simple. For while the male backing up seemed normal, his instincts hit at his conscious as if telling him something was off about this. The assassin would not realize why he was feeling that way unto the male spoke.
An eyebrow rose as the male pleaded with Linda. Confusion filled his pool at the title, as if the male was seeing someone else other than Linda. Did he is suddenly hallucinating now? Unfortunately, that was not the case as he would soon find out. A voice came out of Linda that was not her own. A voice both masculine and feminine, filled with coldness that caused even the assassin to shiver slightly. What…what is that? He did not recognize the voice at all. Then again, the assassin had never heard a voice that could sound like both genders at once! Thus, Riku felt stupefied and frozen as the strange being talked to the male. It seemed the being had wanted Linda dead. For what reasons, he did not know. But, the fact it wanted Linda gone was enough to cause a growl to leave his throat, a frown to form on his face. You aren’t getting Linda…not by a long shot. However, there wasn’t much Riku could do but watch as the creature proclaimed that the male could not survive any longer! Well, it is going to kill him off for me…But…that doesn’t give it permission to possess Linda! His blades stayed extended as he started to make his way towards the possessed Linda. But, as he did so, she snapped the male’s neck.
For a brief moment, the assassin almost felt pity for the male. While Riku was going to kill him, he was planning on doing it in a way to where he would at least be recognizable. But with that broken neck…the male would look nothing more than a dead corpse. When he felt eyes on him, his eyes looked away from the corpse to see Linda was still out of it. Before the assassin could ask ‘it’ what it wanted, Linda came back to her senses. Well, that is just one more thing we have to worry about…She stumbled forward but did not fall. Her question caused the assassin to raise an eyebrow. Of course she wouldn’t remember she was possessed….Great…That would make explaining things sooo much easier. His eyes rolled as she asked another question. “In a cave near a swamp…Don’t worry about it.” But I will. Riku knew he would have to tell the others about this. But for now, they needed to get back to the group first. Thus, he waited until she bandaged her hand, saying one last comment, before allowing her to leave the cave first. “Be out in the minute.” The assassin called out as he moved towards the male’s body.
A bit of sympathy ran through him as he took a piece of cloth from his bag. “You were an utter b*****d…but even you didn’t deserve to get your neck broken by an evil spirit….” Thus, Riku placed the cloth over the male’s face and moved back towards the entrance. Once Riku caught up with Linda, he nodded at her. Let’s get back to the group. Shall we?” With this, the assassin gestured Linda to follow him, heading in the direction he felt the group would be found in. There's no way I'm giving up this time Yeah, you know I'm right here I'm not losing you this time.

Linda
Linda turned and followed after Riku, her eyes holding a worried look. Making sure her knives were within reach, she made sure to be able to keep up. Surprisingly, it didn't seem as hard to keep up as before, as if she had suddenly gotten her strength back.
"So, was there anything wrong out there?" she asked, referring to Riku's little scouting expedition. They were suddenly set upon by the others as they came out into the open forest, with the others making relieved explanations about seeing Linda well. Linda frowned. "Riku said that there wasn't anything to worry about. We just in a little cave over there," she said. Realizing how bad that sounded, she shook her head and then lay a hand on her knife. "But it was because he found me there," she added in a hostile tone.

Selene
Selene gave Linda a hug and then stepped back, feeling that somehow, Linda was back to her own self.
"We were just worried that that man had come back to get you," she said. "That's all." Looking at the bandage on Linda's hand, she frowned. "What happened?" Linda looked down at her hand and shrugged.
"I'm not entirely sure. One minute I was fine and the next minute my palm was cut. Oh well though. I have it bandaged. It shouldn't be too bad. It wasn't that deep," she said, and Selene nodded.

Giving a two-fingered wave to Riku, he walked up, saying "Well, at least your here. You went missing for a bit, and everyone was concerned."
Meiun had done a little more work on sealing Mina's memories. Smiling, he thought to her Done! And don't worry about them popping up should anything happen, that's a sealed enchantment. Unlike some mental enchantments that stop when certain things happen, such as loss of consciousness through some form, this enchantment can only be reached into through your consciousness.
