C h o u m o Nyj ❥It was pretty much like any other free night she had, spending it in karaoke. But tonight unlike the rest she felt like going to one of the places where you could go to a secluded room for karaoke & she often did this only for mere practice for the nights she was more serious about singing. She'd already gone & taken the opportunity of grabbing a free room, but had been warned before hand most of the other rooms were occupied by others or packed so her free room would probably end up being shared with someone else, which she didn't much mind at all. Ok, so she kind of did, usually she spent this time to practice, but it couldn't be helped she supposed. After a warm smile to the owner of the place she headed off towards the room, a slight bounce in her step.
Each room she passed was already booming with music & voices that sounded either awful or quite pleasant, but she wasn't about to stop on her way to the room to critisize or compliment anyone. Finally the Smoochum made it to the room assigned to her & went in, set up with a simple dark brown wooden table with a half-wrap booth seat coated in red, the walls were just a plain white along with the rug. It was bland yet complimented each other nicely, again she smiled softly & shut the door behind her, setting everything up while she searched out a good warm up song, stopping on an english song first. Erase & Rewind by Ashley Tisdale. ❤❉❤

Free time! Ayumi was F-R-E-E! She pounced out of her editor's office. Her latest chapter was handed in early and she already inked the first pages of the next. She could take the night to herself. The little Kangaskhan's cell flashed out of her pocket as she sped dialed Miyabi. "Hey, Miya, wanna-" For once, Miyabi didn't pick up her phone. It was her voice mail. This was the first time she heard it. The Combee was singing a Buono! theme song instead of cluing in someone that she wasn't there. Ayumi hung up, disappointed, but not discouraged. The night was fresh and young. She had time.
The spunky woman hopped down the streets while creeps eyed her and elderly women asked where her mother was. I'm not a little kid, lady. She thought bitterly. Being 21 and looking 16 was a nightmare. Ayumi was at liberty to drive, smoke, and drink (none of which she did frequently if at all), but the woman handing out samples at Sam's Club would always ID her. Embarrassing.
The same sort of feeling rose in her stomach when she found the karaoke place. "Hello, miss, how many are in your party?"
"One."
"Really? A girl your age shouldn't go out by herself."
"I'm 21, yo! Don't tell me what I can and can't do!"
The man apologized and told her all the rooms were full except for one occupied by another girl. She was kind of relieved to hear someone else was by herself. Ayumi marched down the corrider and could hear music and inner divas bursting out of the doors and walls. Soundproof walls my butt. Ayumi approached the last door and could hear an Ashley Tisdale song playing. She blushed. The very girly artist was actually one of her favorites, but she didn't want to look like a little kid when she entered. The girl would probably leave if she saw that. The knob turned and in came Ayumi. The girl was singing seriously, not "Acting Out" or being "Overrated". She was definitely going to be punted for using Ashley Tisdale's songs for describing her. When the song ended, Ayumi applauded enthusiastically and in the opposite way she wanted to show herself. She got carried away. "I love Ashley Tisdale and you're pretty damn good!" Ayumi's hands collided together so rapidly that they were a complete blur.

C h o u m o Nyj ❥She was so in her own zone, peering at the illuminating screen every now & then the other moments she spent them closed having much known the song before hand well enough. In her own zone she often lost contact with anything around her, which has caused more than enough problems on her part, but never seemed too troublesome, just a laugh at her own behavior of dancing around while she sang. However as the song came to an end the sound of clapping made her realize she was going to be sharing a room with someone after all. Her magenta eyes quickly darted to the source of the noise to find a young looking female, a cute one but at the same time looked enough like she wasn't one to be messed with. The Smoochum smiled softly as a blush crept over her face from the compliment thrown her way. It was something she never seemed to get tired of. "Thank you. I'm guessing we'll be sharing this room?" Choumo finally spoke, but in a soft tone, trying to be as polite as possible. The girl seemed interesting enough & her eyes seemed to match Choumo's in shade & that caught her attention. "Would you like to give it a shot now?" She hadn't really meant to sound snobby, it was merely an offer but she quickly realized how stuck she sounded right there making it seem as if she were better than the other female, & made attempt to smile to try & shake off the fact she sounded that way.❤❉❤

Ayumi heard a slightly uppity tone in the girls' voice, but it could've been from the singing she had done that made it a little funny sounding. She shrugged it off with an eager grin and a nod. The room had only two people, but she was sure it'd be busting out just like the others. Ayumi, though a confident girl, was more of a joke when she sang. She expressed her inner diva and all mimicked idols that she had watched from Bollyood, Japan, and even Hollywood. The little sprite had a lot of culture in her, so she ended up dancing like them all. Somehow it suited her. She flipped through the book of songs before her. As she did she asked, "So, what's your name, love?" Her informal speech was friendly. She had a mid-western accent that threw off the whole Asian appearance she had, but her voice was bold and high. "I'm Ayumi Chang, or Ayuchan as my pen name is, but you can call me whatever as long as it ain't an insult." She laughed heartily and selected a song. It was a poppy Canadian song by Avril Lavigne. The girl bounced like a ball and pretended to sing to her companion.

C h o u m o Nyj ❥ She smiled kindly towards the female who seemed to carry a mid-western accent, which she wasn't sure clashed with her asian appearance or not, but it was different that was for sure. "My name is Choumo, but if you liek you could call me Chou for short." She nodded with that overbearing smile then spoke again as the Kangskhan again spoke up, introducing herself. "Alright Ayumi, I promise I wont call you anything offensive unless I have reason to." She chuckled softly, of course half joking & half serious about that, but often times never needed to call one names. She watched the female Kangaskhan as she searched through songs stopping on a song she wasn't all that too familiar with, but had heard at least once before. Upon it starting she merely handed the microphone over & watched as she seemingly started singing to here which only made her giggle from the obscenity of her bouncing & dancing. She was definitly a live wire & that just made things much more interesting even if her voice wasn't all too tolerable in sing song.

Ayumi kept doing her horrible imitation of a pop star. It was amusing to watch, but it was also a ton of fun to pretend while doing the silly moves. At the end of the song she did a huge bow and smiled and slid next to Choumo. "That's a cool name, mine's boring. It means 'pace', which I have none unless ya count how flighty I can get." She laughed at herself. Strangers never intimidated Ayumi and this one seemed very sweet. "Gotta say you have a heck ova voice, though. I bet you could be an idol or somethin' someday." The Kangaskhan was serious, although her playful expression could make somebody wonder. She juggled the microphone between her hands as she talked, "Wanna try a duet? I'll sing a lot quieter so I don't blow off your eardrums. My friend doesn't seem to care that I sing terribly, but I don't want to be unbearable." Again, the girl was cheerful and chuckled. Having a bad voice was fine as long as she could still have fun.

C h o u m o Nyj ❥As the females song came to end she softened her giggles. It was different to see such an exuberant girl like her, not that it was a bad thing. No, it was nice, refreshing. After all she hardly knew next to no body, & everyone she met was a bit boring, bothering to fear over being jugded by others. As a polite gesture she covered her mouth until her chuckling seized & looked at the female, a small smile still plastered in place. "My name?" The blonde questioned, placing a single finger to her pink painted lips, blinking once as if lost. "I've never thought it was cool." Nervously smiling she shrugged it off just as Ayumi told her her name meant pace. It was odd, but no one would've ever guessed with the way it sounded which to her sounded a bit cute & cool. Before she could even comment on the Kangaskhan's name she was again complimented on her voice, making her blush deeply & chuckle nervously. It felt strange being praised so much, but it still felt good to know she was up to snuff.
Again before she even got a word in the Kangaskhan broke in asking for a duet. The Smoochum didn't even hesitate to hop up onto her feet, again finding it very hard not to chuckle at the girls obscenity. Didn't seem there was much of anything she wasn't afraid to say or do. "Why not? After all, we are sharing this room, let's make the best of it." Striding over to the other micrphone & swiping it up, she twirled around on her heels to face the girl again with a still plastered smile. "What song would you like to sing then?" It was only polite to ask the other host, besides, she didn't know too many duet songs that weren't about love, & things could possibly get awkward if this Kangaskhan wasn't that way, plus she had just met her. But usually even if you told yourself that excuse it never seemed to douse the fluttering one would cause on themself around the person. Not saying that's what was happening here, cause it wasn't! No, she was merely thinking too much again.❤❉❤

Ayumi smiled pleasantly and flipped through the songbook, pausing every so often to look at the long list of songs. If she had a tail, it'd be wagging. She loved getting wrapped up in fun and ignoring work.
"Hey, I know a buncha oldies that are pretty fun to sing." The spritely Kangaskhan bounced on the cushioned seat and looked toward Choumo."I love Journey songs like 'Don't Stop Believin' and the Beatles, but Miya usually rolls her eyes whenever I start jabberin' 'bout that stuff...or comic books. I'm kinda geeky." Ayumi blushed lightly. And chatty, sorry 'bou that." She bowed her head while scratching her head apologetically.

C h o u m o Nyj ❥ Chou couldn't help but giggle at this woman, her liveliness definitely made the room seem much brighter than it was. At the mention of oldies & songs she didn't much recognize she gave the Kangaskhan a questioning look before chuckling nervously. "I'm sorry, I don't really know any of those songs, but I'm sure they're fun. Why don't we try them?" Even if she didn't know them, she didn't object to learning any new songs that could up her chances of being an idol pin up girl. "& it's fine about being chatty, the room seems much brighter with your company." Flashing a sincere kind smile she stood up & grabbed the second microphone for karaoke & turned to the Kangaskhan. "So why don't you show me some of those 'Oldies'?" Her head tilted slightly as she spoke, waiting for the woman to pick out yet another song for them both to duet to. ❤❉❤
