First rule in fish keeping is not to overfeed. Keep in mind that most fish can stay without food for about 5 days and not get any problems. I personally feed my fish every other day.
However it's more likely that your fish is sick. Without pictures or a description we can't really say much. It could be a constipation, in which case feeding peas usually works. It could be also be that it has a swim bladder disorder. You usually notice that it will swim strangely and tends to sink or float. Constipation and swim bladder disorder often go together, because the swollen intestines push against the swim bladder. If the poo of your fish is stringy and trails after the fish, your fish probably has constipation.
Oh and danio's are schooling fish, they need a group of minimum 5 to be happy. Loaches also prefer to be in the company of their own species. Additionally the dojo needs a tank around 30 gallons
Another posibility is that your fish has dropsy. In this case the fish is swollen and it's scales potrude. Here's an article on dropsy and other possible causes of swelling: http://www.fishchannel.com/fish-health/disease-prevention/dropsy-malawi-bloat.aspx
