History
The Bombshells are a mother-daughter criminal duo that first appeared robbing a jewelry store where they are then confronted by Spider-Man. The two attempted to escape, but the daughter, Lori, was then separated from her mother as their ability to fire unknown blasts from their hands only works when they are next to each other, made them powerless. Lori was caught by Spider-Man and is then arrested by NYPD, while her mother remains on the loose.
Post-Ultimatum and Illegal Mutants
Lori and her mother are both mutants, and their abilities only work when they are close to each other. They can both fire projectile energy blasts that are powerful enough to open bank vaults and armored trucks. Their first heist was foiled by Spider-Man and Lori was placed under arrest, and most likely sent to a S.H.I.E.L.D. Maximum Security Facility for Mutants.[1]
Second Attempt at Thievery
A short time later the Bombshells attempt another heist on an armored truck, this time being foiled by Spider-Woman and The Human Torch. During this particular heist her mother calls her by the name "Lana" rather than "Lori", so it is unclear if perhaps this may in fact be Lori's twin sister or if these are fake names altogether.[2]
Powers
When her mother and her are close to each other, they can each shoot projectile energy beams from their hands, emitting loud booming sounds and causing enough damage to break into jewelry stores.
Weaknesses
Powerless when not in the vicinity of her mother.
